You made it! Happy that you're back!! 🥰 Also: given all the stuff you have going on, you did brilliantly, and you have every reason to be proud of yourself! 🥳
Welcome back, Sandy! So happy to watch your video again - you were missed a lot ❤… And congratulations for all great thing going on in your life! Cheers! 🎉
Welcome back after an eventful summer! While we missed seeing your videos, it sounds like you had a wonderful summer! Congrats on the new job and your son's marriage!
Hi, Sandy! Good to see you! It sounds like you had a busy but fun summer! I've read The Women and The Measure, and agree with you on The Women, it was a hard read and had a good bit of violence. The Measure was an interesting story!
I figured you were doing a lot of outdoor stuff, which is excellent. It was so humid in Chicago we did less than normal, and I miss it. I’m glad you’re back!
I didn't connect the guy in the car with Christine, but that would make sense. I'm reading all of King's books in publication order starting next year, so I'll keep this in mind when I get to It again.
Hi Sandy! Taking a break looks good on you. I'm reading Rachel Kushner's Creation Lake now. I'm about 1/2 way through and hoping it gets more enthralling very soon. I'm with you on the Song of Achilles- was blaming my mood, but maybe not. The Expanse Series sounds like what I need right now - page turner.
Welcome back 🎉 How did the wedding go? Hopefully you enjoyed your camping trip What a mix of books you read this summer. That wren book looks beautiful i wish more books would have that level of finishing, shame it was forgettable. ( Julie here)
Good to see you back and it is totally understandable why you have been away from booktube. I am quite sure I know what scene in IT you are referring to. I read the book as a college sophomore in the mid-eighties and only one scene has stuck with me. A sex scene that even at that time I was confused and disgusted was even there. I read Just Mercy a couple of years ago and it was so impactful. The tragedy of lives spent wrongly in prison or long sentences for children who had little hope of getting out. Bryan Stephenson's team are saving the lives of so many people treated unfairly.
I just realized I hadn't heard from you in a while, and it's now October, so I came by looking for your annual camping vlog :) Sounds like a LOT going on for you! Hope the new job is going well. And how exciting that your son got married - Congratulations! I'm sure you were ready for some relaxation by your camping trip in August. I've never read Goethe. IT is super creepy! Your confusion is understandable - King says he doesn't plan or plot his books ahead of time, so he can sometimes meander! And he does like to include Easter eggs from other books for fans :) I enjoy Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, but I tried one of her other novels once and - like you said - there was just nothing to it. I've heard about The Expanse TV show. The Women was a stunning novel. I may have gotten more immersed in it than you because I listened to it on audio. Sounds like some great reading for you!
I had such a busy summer, I haven't been on here much either. I need to still put up an August wrap up, but it's going to be a long one and Im sort of dreading it. ...

Yay for expanse! AMOS!!
I had a similar experience with The Women. Not Hannah’s best.
These summer events are lovely distractions from reading and it sounds like you are settling into your new job too.
Thank you! I love summer and am usually busy but this year was unusual
Just Mercy is indeed a gut wrencher.
So good!!
