These are the kind of games that make games fun, people get way too agro in FPS and other strategy games. Its so much more fun to kick back, smoke a J and race people in a rocket powered wing suit.
Just don't try to win races in pvp. Esp in beginning bc higher level ppl have equipment literally base stock 3-4 times faster than you. And no rank matching
or stuff like gttod where it's like injecting crack concentrate directly into it veins

I’m turning 28, you could say I’ve had a descent gaming career, been playing my whole life. I 100% agree. I’ve done FPS my whole life and I feel like I’m finally seeing the beauty in pretty much every other game out there lol. I love to compete, but after 20+ years of agro FPS, what sounds the most fun is now not competing with myself, but having fun with myself.
You can’t play this game without wifi … what a joke
I'm surprised there hasn't been more hype around this game. I want to see more games focus on the fun social part of gaming in addition to the more serious combat games.
its a good game, for me the biggest downside is the shop and customisation options. outfits suck and only good ones you have to pay real money for. even then the selection is limited

Because the community choose to shit on Ubisoft games, since Far Cry 5 I guess. Even when one of their games are good they look for shortcomings as the whole thing, like is unplayable. After Far Cry 5 I just stopped caring about opinions on Ubisoft and just bought the games I though I would like from them.
I really liked the game, but i could not keep playing because of the overwhelming of "menus" and the lack of sense of progression. The game starts with a shit tons of information to you and alot of menus and options to play, this could be good to some gamers, but not for me. I would like if it was a little more progressive, like opening new modes as I play, or have a good and simple carrer mode to start and learn everything with a good learning courve.
They should lower the price tho, not gonna spend 60+ euros on a game like this unfortunately.
They killed it with Steep too. I played that so many times to just chill and checkout the scenery. They added so many activities to it. After years of fine tuning it, they did an incredible job translating that into RR.
Steep was alright but it seemed like a testing ground for this game since this gamer seems to squash every issue I had with Steep. Mainly with how the activities and races were set up making me feel like I was racing myself instead of other people.

When it comes to snowboarding/skiing, steep does it FAR better. I don’t see how anyone with a functioning brain can play steep, then snowboard on RR and not notice how drastically worse RR is. The physics are absolutely horrible compared to steep, they actually feel way worse than SSX which is like 20 years old. And it doesn’t help that the sense of speed is trash, the low speed cap is very frustrating too.
The biking in RR is pretty fun for a while, but it gets old quickly. The tricks are all scripted, the boost system is boring, turns feel super weird and unrealistic. You really can’t compare the game to steep because it’s super arcadey and the physics are just not even trying to be as realistic as steep

The biking scenes remind me of how excited I was when I first played Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 on Nintendo GameCube, wow, those were the times! Especially the sounds of the game, the music, playing against your friend sitting next to you... games will never be the same again.

Seems like it hearkens back to the feeling SSX or Snowboard Kids gave me. I'm glad games like this can still be made.
SSX was my absolute favourite. First game I had on PS2.
Yeah this game had everything right except the actual gameplay which made the ssx and skate games fun to play. Glad it was free on gamepass

Tomo, if someone hasn't already said it, yes there are rocket wings that work like what's in this game. You should check out the video titled "Jetman Dubai Takeoff". They can actually take off from the ground and then fly around much like in the game. Super amazing.

Theres also an old Top Gear episode where Hammond races in a Rally car against someone in the wingsuit as he tries to fly the same path. Its super cool.

lmao, i never seen this gameplay before and it caught me off guard. I was like oh, another open world sports game, ski mode. Nice racing down the hill and then he took out the jetpack and did a loop, lol did not expect that.
That jet-pack wing thing really does exist. There's an amazing video of two guys wearing them and flying around the Burj Khalifa.
We need more games like this. In so many aspects or genres. I want MMA games, you name it. We need more physics based fun games

Jet wings do exist IRL. They have for a while. I recommend watching a few vids on them. They’re pretty cool
I bought this game on launch and it's been a total blast since. There is so much to do in this game, and it never gets boring. For anyone who hasn't got it yet I highly recommend
Completely disagree. The game looks like a ton of fun, but once I played it, I got bored with it very quickly. Not to mention, the controls are extremely janky compared to its predecessor Steep. Also, it's online only, which I knew going into it, but still; lame.

Mostly Im not playing extreme sport games except SSX and I started playing last week and yes it is addictive and pretty easy to learn while it might a bit overwhelming in the beginning. Just let yourself carry away in the game. Can't wait till BMX is released they still can cover a lot for expanding the game.
The rocket wingsuit does exist in real life and I would argue they're even crazier than the in game version

This game looks amazing! I used to play SSX Tricky a ton on ps2. 100% completion on it and games like these give me that fun and awesome nostalgia. Looks incredible! Gonna check it out on sale sometime!

I love snowboarding, skateboarding and I spectate some other extreme sports, but the thing that always puts me off from these games is the unrealistic trick combos, similar to the one you see here: 0:20
Glad this game is getting more attention than steep did I hope ubi keeps bringing more games like this
I played it in beta. I really liked how big it felt. Not only map wise but player wise. The map is sharded into separate servers but if you can open the map, you see every other on other servers.
A lot of sports. A lot of activities. Worth playing.
Back in the day Downhill domination for ps1 was my jam. As a kid I could spend hours on end just going down this one level and repeat. This gives me those vibes. Might get it just because. I don't really have time for games anymore but who knows.
Downhill Domination is on PS2 but yeah awesome game.

Been debating about this game since it came out. Seems like just a solid time that isn't trying to be anything it isn't. Reminds me of SSX, only reason I hesitated was Ubisoft and money.
I couldn't think of a single better reason to hesitate than Ubisoft.
It's too expensive for what you get, and supporting Ubisoft is bad for the public.

In the 64 player race you don't necessarily need to win the race to have fun. Sometimes I just love chilling behind at 30-40th position riding with other players. It gives a sense of fellowship. Lovely game!
Tomographic is the perfect TH-camr he doesn't take games to Sirius or unsirius and he's also skilled like af

When this came out I was doubting between getting this or Forza Horizon. Really happy I picked this one. So much to do, amazing atmosphere, enough variation to stay interesting...

I liked Steep better, much more realistic physics and movments of the character. Steep also had a great gear store with a ton of customization options.
But i gotta say though, even though this game is more arcade ish it is really great fun. The graphics are really good and the new sports are also cool.

Finding the energy to sift through and edit 100s of gbs worth of recordings is a real struggle 😅 I often just end up deleting because I wait to long! Great job on the edit and gameplay!
this is such a refreshing game amidst this rlly lame period we're in of games as a service and half baked fps titles. i just hope they keep supporting it with content and new snowboarding events

one of my favorite games growing up was coolboarders. I think I only had the demo on ps1 though. So i have been looking for something in the snowboarding, skiing race realm
This game looks good really good in fact, but the fact that players who have more time have better gear that makes them fast is a real put off.
It only really effects mass races unless you’re trying to beat the world record straight away
I’m 13, still love Christmas. I discovered this game a month ago, it was 25 bucks. I asked my mom for it and she said no you have it on my Christmas list. And I say to myself, “if it’s on my Christmas list, why won’t you buy it? It looks really fun.” Like wtf

Steep was my go to game last winter. So much fun and so chill. I got hooked on some reaally hard wingsuit missions as well

This gives me instant childhood memories. Back when the PS2 came out there was a demo game disc with a snowboard game (SSX?) included. I remember going for weekends to my neighbour and best friend to play that game on his PS2 (I had an Xbox). We would listen to Limp Bizkit's ”Choclate Starfish and Hotdog flavoured water" CD as loud as his stereo went and play this game. Best memories! I was 11-13 years at that time!
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 on PS2 came with a snowboarding game demo when you beat the game. Played the one track hundreds of times haha.
Yea SSX Tricky was my favorite game to play with friend back in the day.We didn't own PS2 but we would go to like basement of the house of some dude that owned and we would pay by hour to play

This game is like Forza horizon and the crew had a baby and it drank red bull.
One thing I noticed with players who grew up on Call of Duty 4, MW2, BO1, BO2, etc., is that a lot of us have grown up into responsible adults. We have kids, rent, bills, & careers to chase. We want something to kick back to and relax. Nowadays it’s just players that go straight crackhead mode with bunny hoping and sweatbands.
Shout out to all the OGs who got flashbacks of 1080 snowboarding on the N64.
