One of the best premium squads in the game!
Fun fact: This particular unit, the filthy thirteen, were called that way due to their low discipline and rare showers during training. The leader James McNiece was partially Indian and used the haircut for fun & motivation shortly before their first mission. Despite these shortcomings, the squad was considered and performed on elite level and succeeded in multiple parachute jump missions after DDAY. James himself acted as squad leader and was acting First Sergeant, though never promoted at all due to constant disciplinary problems; despite all Paratrooper soldiers being promoted to First Private after finishing basic Training. After leaving the army 1946 due to quarrels with the MP he went on to live as a celebrity and died in 2013 at age 93.

The secret is out. I like to equip all my Paratroopers with AP mines. So once they take the AT load out, we get some really spicy mining potential!

Don't spend silver removing the perks, just press the free "Reset All Perks" button on bottom left

Nice review! I am personally waiting to see the Thompson M1923 Automatic Rifle which fired the .45 Remington cartridge get introduced into the game. It comes with a bipod and a bayonet and can serve as an excellent AR at BR V giving the T20 Rifle some competition. The 50 round Thompson is not suitable at all for BR V because of its worse stats.

I know it’s unrelated but the new matchmaking has even made BR2 sweaty now because of a lot of BR3 players being put in. Before there were usually 1 or 2 BR3s in low BR, now about 5. I’ve sold all my BR2 stuff and I’m downgrading to BR1.

Well the problem with that squad is, that its simply not really good & I only recommend squads worth buying. The weapon itself is quite mediocre for BR5 and I think we will get much better squads this year for high BR Germans.

@@klovsmartikus9444 unlike the thompson squad its main weapon isnt OP, so using the box is almost mandatory to make them really strong.

I hate how paratroopers can have 6 crewman while average premium squad only has 5 troopers and those crewman are significantly less powerful and less flexible. They need to add one or two more troopers to non-para premium and event squads with the exception of AR engineers since they are already too powerful.
Why the hell paratroopers can get 3x AT gunners with 12 rocket ammo while actual AT gunner gets like 6 rocket ammo, what's a logic in this? Nobody is using AT gunner squads because they got power creeped long time ago especially since you can spawn whenever you want with paratroopers. Don't forget that they also get free AT mines.

@@HootJody76 aah the premium one. i think theyre the same sights :D i played that squad over the last weeks and the weapon is really good, only the 5 bullet mag is a pita. the secret is to use them like engineer squads with additional abilities.

My incredibly biased opinion - they should nerf this squad, especially the recoil. premium squads should feel unique, like the mp18 squad, silenced mp40 squad, the old morrocan one, etc. Not just being flat out better than everything f2p can get. This squad is so unique and cool, but so scummy at the same time.

Yeah I went off the game for a while and came back when these paratroopers and spawn trucks were added. Nothing before them seemed pay to win but those two are clearly pay to win.
They have nerfed the trucks a little bit which is good but you can't deny that dropping six dudes to blow up your tank from the sky magically is just silly.
That being said if they were on sale on console I'd probably buy them right now😅😅

thats a good argument, though i wouldnt play the soviet paras for power level reasons, this squad though is just too strong to not use it. id like the ability to give them weaker weapons to use on lower BRs though, that would make it perfect.
