Because listening only to Maiden is the pinnacle of metal fandom lol. There's tons of great music that is not metal. Seems really boring to limit yourself. And who doesn't like Kate Bush?!
People seem to think we metalheads are close minded to other genres, even though we've seen metal embrace so many other genres over the years! Opera? Yeah. Hiphop? Yup. Blues......well that's a cheat really....... and many other forms of music have been assimilated.
I think it’s amusing that grown adults are so eager to identify as “metalheads.” To be fair, I did until my mid-40s, but the whole shtick seems so juvenile now. Especially referring to others as “normies” - grow the fuck up 😂
Evelyn confirmed based as hell playing the old Taylor Swift songs that were actually good. Whole albums of good songs. Mine is also one of my favourites. All Too Well is not just my favourite Taylor Swift song but one of my all time favourite songs in general.

I've been a metalhead for 20 years but still love a lot of pop artists and also french songs. There's just so much good music outside of metal! :) And omg! You need to listen to Vance Joy's albums, they're so good! Definitely give Georgia a listen!
As a die hard Metal Head since I was about 12 probably, I have to confess that Taylor Swift (mostly her first 5 albums) and Adele slaps man. For my Adele is top 3 female artists in the industry right now,. PS: The Sound Of Music was a classic from my childhood as well, absolutely adore that film

A few suggestions: Any Given Day’s cover of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” Mors Principium Est’s cover of either “The Call” by Backstreet Boys or “Livin La Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin. Fleshgod Apocalypse’s cover of “Blue” by Eiffel 65. And if you end up doing the video and hold off until closer to Christmas, Brojob’s cover of Feliz Navidad

Sound of Music is my favorite musical think most metalheads grew up with that movie why I love power metal, Symphonic metal, and operatic metal.
