odd, when you plug into effects channels you get sound. i get no sound when plugging into the A & B effects port on mine, but when i plug a second guitar into the B port it does pick up audio from the second guitar as long as the main guitar is plugged into the automix but there is still no control over the effects side. would you happen to know why that is?
The jack sockets aren't standard mono jack sockets - they are switching ones. If the contacts have oxidised or had dirt/pollution in them, it may cause it not to work. Similarly, if the wiring is somehow damaged to the "A" socket, from memory, I think it's wired in series with the "B" socket, so your experience could be indicative of that.
