I really hope your vision of your home comes together. The idea of a garden and small orchard is gorgeous.
MEGAN / MIKE: I hope you see my comment … I’m a long time gardener and I’ve learned many things the hard way, lol. When planning your garden and fruit trees, consider the height of the trees. As they grow they will cast shadows which you might not want on your veggies. More importantly, any fruit that falls and sits on the ground (even for a couple of days is a magnet for nasty wasps/yellow jackets. They will feast on the fallen fruit and that fruit will quickly FERMENT and those nasty wasps/jackets will become drunk (seriously) and will ATTACK anything and everything with FURY.
Since Meg went on her walk and talk with us she seems so much happier, like a huge weight has been lifted💕 keep on walking and talking ❤️

I would plant my fruit trees now because they take a few years
I was thinking the same! Much if the yard might be susceptible to construction, but you’d think some trees could be protected. Then, they’d be producing fruit when the home is done.
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but you should try to stop by Sno-To-Go for their stuffed snowballs. It’s basically soft serve ice cream layered with shaved ice/snow cone. My family still talks about that place 4 years later. We’ve been tempted to drive 7+ hours just to go there again! Safe travels!!!

That's awesome !! We homeschool and just bought almost 5 acres in Missouri ... California was getting crazy !!!! Love the seasons ;) slowly starting our homestead ..we bought a fixer upper so been working on that :)

I think you would enjoy Michigan Upper Peninsula. Mackinaw Island is such fun and beautiful! Lots of history there.

I admit I am a bit envious. We just returned from a 2 week trip out west to the Yellowstone and Montana that was great. I love travelling with my RV, it is my second home. I wish we could go somewhere every month.
To make room in small kitchen, I get rid of all boxes!
I put items in freezer bags with the prep directions cut out inside.
Easier to smoosh items.
I would use up both blank spaces between those shallow cabinets, converting into more storage.
I gotta watch these and catch up on the older ones! We just bought a camper and I'm so excited for this freedom!!!!
As a mom of six, ten and under, 3 adopted with special needs, I love that you finally get regular date nights alone. I’m sure you too put in your time where that wasn’t quite as possible. We currently have specialty hotdogs to roast outside in our fire pit for our date nights. And that works for us in our current season. I enjoy your vlogs.
Like you, I find setting up the RV with it's own dishes, silverware, and linens is so much easier than having to haul it back and forth. Our only down fall, the RV is in a warehouse for storage 45 minutes from home so we bring all our food in a large cooler inside our truck and unload it once we get the RV refrigerator to temperature.
I know you said you may go to VB, but if you go just over the CBBT there is a town called Cape Charles that has small shops and a nice calm beach 🏖 cool little beach town 🙃

I hope you fell better soon. I don’t watch tv but love my TH-cam families. I have a few favorites. They entertained me when I was in bed a few days with Covid (at home thankfully) last month. That’s when you start watching all the old videos of your favorites like a marathon! Such a nice distraction.
I hope that your vision comes together for your home. So excited for y,all .u can go ahead and plant your fruit trees if u want to so they can start growing.. something to think about..if u know exactly where your going to plant them .give them a head start..God bless .to you and your family .with y,all's talent I know it will be great..

Seriously you have got to come to Michigan. Check out the Platt river camp ground . And take the kids kayak down the river( so clear and calm) at the end out the trip is lake Michigan..so beautiful 😍

This is what we do…. Day #1: hot dogs, Day #2: hamburgers, Day #3: shish kabob (meat skewers), Day #4: fajitas…. All cooked on the grill and supplemented with buns and salad ingredients…

Our HOA is the same as your old neighborhood. You cannot at anytime park it on the street even in front of your own house. It can stay in your private drive the day before your trip and one day after and thats it. Enjoy your vacay guys!

We get the Kevin’s Thai dishes and even our 7 year old loves them! We do the bagged microwaveable jasmine rice with it. Makes rving soooo much easier!

You need to travel West Virigina national forests in the fall or spring time. Scenery is amazing and there are so many fun things to do and explore.
I live in the southern area of West Virginia! I was so surprised to see that they haven't traveled here yet. They could travel to the newest national park...The New River Gorge National Park and Preserve! Once they come they will want to come back to West Virginia!

You need to fill in Michigan on your map! It's got some amazing areas.
You should take the prepackaged meals out of the packaging and store it outside of the fridge and you would have more room!
Williamsburg is not fall beautiful yet but cooler and the beaches are great right now. You can rent canoes on the York River and don't miss old Yorktown with a story guide. We have an Aldi now just an FYI.

Steak chili stretches great over rice or pasta.
We had the Barbacoa tonight, really yummy, just add minced white onion and cilantro and a little salsa and avocado.
It’s funny watching them shop Costco and seeing the things we buy at theirs. I cannot do that barbacoa. It smells like dog food to me and I can’t do it. 🐶 We buy that brand but get the carnitas from time to time. We used to get their chicken too but since I learned how to make Mexican shredded chicken in my insta pot from frozen Costco chicken fillets I won’t buy frozen shredded chicken-it’s too easy, fast, and cheap to make. But if I were shopping for something even quicker like they are I’d have gotten the carnitas. My family all loves it though. I’ve tried it twice and it tastes like it smells for me. Glad everyone else enjoys it though. The onion, cilantro, and avocado you mentioned was speaking my language.

Your need to fill in West Virginia! Once you come for the first time you will wonder why you hadn't been here before. We are the home of the newest national park which is The New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Come and visit. The park is about 3.5 hours away from your area.

Just wonder why in the US you store your eggs in the fridge? In the UK stores eggs are just kept on the normal shelves.
Eggs in the US are washed before being sent to stores. After they're washed they have to be refrigerated.
