We have gotten into brining oatmeal packets (healthier kind, not sugar loaded ones) and putting them in our thermos with collagen and a scoop of nut butter. We will also usually bring some Greek yogurt to portion up.
Chicken salad is always a big lunch one.
We love “campfire” nachos, burgers, or I’ll pre-marinate some chicken and freeze it before we leave for the grill to keep the protein going too!

I went camping a lot as a kid and we ALWAYS had jambalaya. The boxed one and we added chicken. It is a fond memory for me and when I see/ smell Jamalaya it always brings me back!

Man i remember when i was a kid and we went tent camping, my mom was cooking ALLLLLL day. Although it was a fond memory of her feeding us and serving us, I do wish I had more memories enjoying the swimming etc.

Love that it’s always a similar list every time! So easy.
Pulled pork in the crock pot. Or, pre-make the pulled pork and freeze. Then just heat up and add bbq sauce 🥰

Our favorite is what we call a corn boil. We usually have a large crowd..in a roaster potatoes bottom, corn on cob, kielbasa or smoked sausage. Add several inches of either water or beer and roast on low all day. Sometimes we add raw shrimp and crab legs the last 30-60 min.
    Another favorite is walking tacos.
I also usually make croissant or biscuit sausage, egg, cheese sandwiches ahead of time, freeze and then we have an easy breakfast.

Quick/easy meal ideas we like are breakfast fried rice (rice, eggs, bacon or sausage & soy sauce) you could make this ahead of time then heat on blackstone or assemble there. Not sure if you still have your Sam's club membership but they have precooked grilled chicken breasts, pulled pork/ckn to make sliders, &/or Rotisserie chicken. Making chili, stew or soup ahead of time and freezing it (since you said you have more freezer space) or make a double batch the next time you cook it one night. Nachos on the blackstone (thinking it is like a flat top grill, if not ignore nachos and rice idea 😂) Love your videos!

I really like the idea of having the same food every time you go to your camping trip. My family doesn’t go camping but we go see my stepdaughter once a season and we always try to reinvent the wheel but I really like that idea.

I also have 4 kids about the same age as yours. Every summer we dry camp for a whole week. I'm with you in that I hate cooking and doing dishes in tents or RVs with a passion. I pre-cook as much as I possibly can at home in the weeks/months leading up to the trip. I make breakfast burritos, wrap them in foil, and put them in the freezer. Same with breakfast sandwiches. Then my hubby can heat them up over a fire or grill. I also do the big bag of pancake mix and we have that several mornings with eggs and bacon (that I pre cooked at home). For lunches, we do sandwiches, hot dogs, or snack trays on rotation. I also bring extra tortillas and topping to make fish tacos in case we catch fish and my boys want to cook them up. For dinners, we always do a chili night (pre-cooked and frozen) with cornbread muffins (pre-made), a hamburger night, a goulash night, a taco night, a bbq chicken and macaroni night, a steak and baked potato and bagged salad night. Again, I pre-cook or prepare anything I possibly can at home. I steam veggies at home and bring them in a tupperware to reheat. If the meal has pasta noodles, though, I cook those on-site and add them to a meal because I hate soggy noodles.

You and I prepare and organize in the same ways! We are also a family of 6 and we don’t do campfire cooking either, we live in wildfire country so most of the summer there’s a fire ban where we camp anyway! Our go to for the first night is always tacos. I prepare all the meat before hand so it just needs a quick heat up and then we just do cheesy tortilla chips and salsa and sour cream with it-quick and easy for that first night when you’re busy getting everything settled and set up! I also do a lot of convenience foods while camping so I’m able to cook less and be able to sit and relax and read and watch kids swim and fish! I also second the ready meal for the return day evening! We always do something like frozen pizza or something easy so we can get things unpacked and unloaded!

This is similar to our camping menu! I don’t really change it since it works for us and I do all the prep ahead of time so I can get our meals on the table quickly because we are so busy while we camp😊

Ohhhh! I love that you asked about the meals. We are full time RVers and I'm always looking for more meal ideas. While we do have a full sized oven and stove, I don't LOVE using the oven in the heat of the summer.

Kills me that that was over 500 girl. I remember watching hauls about that much with toilet paper and house supplies. 😢 darn inflation.

I’m prepping for camping right now. Fun video to watch while I’m doing that. I prep breakfast burritos. We just reheat over the camp fire. We also like to use the same chicken for chicken nachos on the day we arrive. It’s low prep because most of it can be prepped at home.

I get your not wanting to cook on campfire. Family of 6 here too! But IF you had to cook on campfire a good thermometer is always good to have to make sure things are cooked thoroughly. I like super easy meals too and tacos are definitely one of the meals we always have when camping🤗

We are a sandwich family! Bread, cheese, spreads, lunch meat, chicken salad, PBJ with chips and fruit is the main feature. By the time we hit the road everybody is craving Chick-fil-A and air conditioning!

We like to make nachos when we camp. My husband cooks hamburger and sausage with onions on the black stone and then we add toppings-cheese, tomato, avocado, lettuce, and sour cream. I feel like it’s pretty easy and very yummy! You gave me some great ideas in this video too!

We do yogurt and granola or oatmeal for breakfast with an occasional French toast, lunch is like yours, but tacos, frozen burritos, spaghetti, and ramen are or go to RV dinners.

Great video! Thank you!! This weekend we are doing our first weekend tent camping with our 3,3,4,& 12 year old. Our oldest has been camping with us lots of times but we haven’t ventured out since having our littles. I have 1000 lists going 😂 this video was helpful as I too would like to spend more time with my kids this weekend then cooking.

I like to make when camping with no fire. (But we use a Colman burner) one day at a glance- breakfast is breakfast burritos or French toast or eggs Benedict, lunch is sliders with easy pasta salad or cobb salad or sandwiches with chips and fruit, dinner is stake nachos or hamburgers or fajitas dessert is premade cake for strawberry shortcake, homemade cookies or brownies or a chocolate fondue pot with goodies.
