yeah i prefer the default blocky body anyways the packages just look weird because they all use the same hand position for tools regardless of package, so it’d look like your currently held tool would be either floating, inside your palm, or inside your arm depending on package and handle brick offset relative to the model’s actual handle location also the some packages have the arms at odd angles that could make animations with the arms at certain angles look weird and also you’d basically have to accept having your limbs appear entirely detached at times which is basically unavoidable with a lot of custom animations

actually... i feel like the story actually reapeated... here is why back in november 1, 2006. counter-strike: source had an update that was called dynamic weapon pricing (also referred as weapons market), The dynamic weapon pricing sparked (yes for ur readers im rewriting it from counter strike wiki, because ur too lazy to check it) controversy among fans and was removed due to strong opposition each monday, the price would change depending how much they were used last that week. the problem, the dynamic weapon pricing made difficult to use guns underused. whilst promoting lesser used guns like smg's. while decreasing price of a mac-10 to 140$ (not real ones, its counter strike, not flipin call of duty) under this system some crazy prices were set. if u had played any cs game. u know that desert eagle is usually 700$... not underthat. with dynamic weapon pricing it usually had cost more than 5000$, so it firstly is more expensive than awp and is cant be bought on pistol round. and smth like an ssg08 would cost twice the price of awp because awp was used less and it was pointless to use it because it was expensiver and weaker than awp. and also glock-18 would be so cheap. that players may spam buy that weapon and lag and crash the server. this update was removed after a few months.. yep we can say roblox is repeating a story. a horrible one.

It's unnecessarily hiking up the prices of items to entice people to buy more robux. Problem is, that doesn't work for virtual items because 1: unlike physical items, you only have to work to create them once before you can sell a functionally unlimited amount of copies, and 2: if people want to make their stuff more expensive they'd do it anyways; there's probably a good reason why they're pricing it as low as possible. Also, pricing your official stuff much higher than user uploaded stuff is basically taking away one of the main reasons to buy said official stuff when the alternatives are cheaper.

the only way to get stuff like the dynamic price floor to stop is to boycott. historically, companies have only cared about what their communities have to think when there's money on the line. mcdonalds has started pushing out new menu items, deals, and collabs en masse due to their insane loss of money due to boycotts, and the same has happened for a few video games as well. if you want to make change in a game, you do it with your wallets. you stop buying so the company knows they have to change. if a large chunk of the playerbase decided to stop buying roblox and only receive it from things like commission work or donation games that would cause roblox to lose tons of money, and they would, at that point, actually do something, in theory at least.
The problem is that too many people are addicted to roblox, and instead of boycotting via not buying robux and not using roblox, people rather buy less stuff, which just proves Roblox that they can get away with this

I have been playing Roblox since I was 6, and I have had over 10 accounts, and probably have spent more than 5000 dollars on this game over the span of which i have been playing. I hate everything that is happening with the game that I have grown up playing. It's really sad to see.

They may not want to hold their wallet back, but they will have no choice, and will be able to live without it. Roblox, on the other hand, is dependent on its users to spend money on robux to make money, and by driving away its users from buying robux, they dig themselves a grave. By continually raising the price floor for items, they are only digging themselves deeper and deeper, and eventually it’ll get to a point where they can’t get themselves out of the grave they dug themselves. So while yes it sucks that they keep rising the price floor, the only ones really losing in this situation is Roblox, regardless of whether they see it or not.

back in november 1, 2006. counter-strike: source had an update that was called dynamic weapon pricing (also referred as weapons market),
The dynamic weapon pricing sparked (yes for ur readers im rewriting it from counter strike wiki, because ur too lazy to check it) controversy among fans and was removed due to strong opposition
each monday, the price would change depending how much they were used last that week.
the problem, the dynamic weapon pricing made difficult to use guns underused. whilst promoting lesser used guns like smg's. while decreasing price of a mac-10 to 140$ (not real ones, its counter strike, not flipin call of duty)
under this system some crazy prices were set.
if u had played any cs game. u know that desert eagle is usually 700$... not underthat.
with dynamic weapon pricing it usually had cost more than 5000$, so it firstly is more expensive than awp and is cant be bought on pistol round. and smth like an ssg08 would cost twice the price of awp because awp was used less and it was pointless to use it because it was expensiver and weaker than awp. and also glock-18 would be so cheap. that players may spam buy that weapon and lag and crash the server.
this update was removed after a few months..

It's unnecessarily hiking up the prices of items to entice people to buy more robux.
Problem is, that doesn't work for virtual items because 1: unlike physical items, you only have to work to create them once before you can sell a functionally unlimited amount of copies, and 2: if people want to make their stuff more expensive they'd do it anyways; there's probably a good reason why they're pricing it as low as possible.
Also, pricing your official stuff much higher than user uploaded stuff is basically taking away one of the main reasons to buy said official stuff when the alternatives are cheaper.
Obviously they never care what their community says so they do it anyways

the only way to get stuff like the dynamic price floor to stop is to boycott. historically, companies have only cared about what their communities have to think when there's money on the line. mcdonalds has started pushing out new menu items, deals, and collabs en masse due to their insane loss of money due to boycotts, and the same has happened for a few video games as well. if you want to make change in a game, you do it with your wallets. you stop buying so the company knows they have to change. if a large chunk of the playerbase decided to stop buying roblox and only receive it from things like commission work or donation games that would cause roblox to lose tons of money, and they would, at that point, actually do something, in theory at least.

honestly though as someone who's been playing since tix was around seeing so many of the cheapest items become overpriced and unaffordable for new / unpaid players just makes me sad. i mean it is what is it i suppose but i don't understand why they couldn't just leave old items at their static prices and just letting ugc have the adjusted base price. it at least left SOME items at a lower price.
