Five years ago, I was a teenager in middle school with no friends to play with in real life. That changed when I discovered Roblox, a game I really liked. I would spend my time after school playing it on my mom's office computer. I enjoyed it a lot. Now, after so long, seeing Roblox no longer being the game I knew is just disappointing.

I joined Roblox when I was a kid, thinking it was a cool game and it was an opportunity to make friends. Over the many years I’ve been on Roblox, I have seen some awful things that shouldn’t even be on a platform once advertised for kids. When I was young, I had seen people having e-sex and going around the filter to say racial slurs before I even knew what they meant. No child should ever have to be subject to that inappropriate behavior. Public UGC was doomed from the start and it was an awful idea on Roblox’s part. If they do not start fixing that platform up, the lawsuits will start rolling in.

It disappoints me that some people or minors themselves are educating the younger ones on how to behave disrespectfully and enforcing them to stuff that is not allowed for a kid to know and learn, even see. It's disgusting how I have to witness kids moaning and talking about "age is just a number" to me. As an adult myself, it makes me uncomfortable because a similar situation happened to a friend of mine who's an adult as well, and some minors chased her around the map, calling her a pedo as a joke after making her cry and having to deal with this kind of emotion for 1-2 weeks.

Honestly, I'm so glad that you are talking about this. the catalog as of current is just an absolute mess, and I don't think all the fault is on Roblox for this in general. I do believe that Roblox should do more to make their catalog a more better experience. But for me, 80% of my hate for the catalog is directed towards the people making all of these awful rip-offs of items and the other things that are listed in this video. I'd like to say that I'm a Roblox fashionista of sorts as I spend most of my time whenever I am playing Roblox on catalog avatar creator and I feel strongly that UGC has to be one of the BEST updates to come to Roblox, as people are no longer limited to the items Roblox makes themselves and that people can have more creative freedom with their avatars, I feel that ugc was the chance Roblox was giving people to change the Roblox catalog for the better, (even before ugc was released there was always a problem with user made clothing for it is currently just overtaken by copies of copies and even more copies. (don't get me started on the shaders)) but as shown in this video, when given too much freedom people just cannot handle it or control themselves when it comes to their desires of fictional Lego characters. too many times have i scrapped an avatar that i was so passionate on making because i couldn't find good items over all the shit in the catalog as of late. I just wish that people could just take something and make good with it instead of using it to please their odd fantasies.

Seeing all the bad things on the platform scares me. As someone who has a younger relative that plays roblox, i am constantly scared for their safety and protection of their innocence.
I do everything i can to hide the dark things of this world from them, even furries, because of the dark side of the fandom that always has the spotlight.

I truly do wish that the older members of the Roblox community were not such degenerates trying to make a quick buck or just downright sick. The first time I saw a 3d "Chest" in roblox was like a week ago and the user wasn't using it for any rp or nsfw stuff like that but bought it cause it fit with her avatar. Which shows that having a "Chest" in roblox isn't inherently bad but instead the way it's used can and with the current roblox most people will use it for exactly that

Unfortunate fact, but some moderators can actually get PTSD from seeing what stuff gets uploaded, because they have to actually look at it. The job is essentially looking at gore and porn all day.
I honestly think that Roblox is descending in the Public very hard. I know that the player base is getting bigger, but the People, who don't play roblox, just look down because they see content like this. There are good games, but that is too far. I sometimes go trolling in Vibe Games (in Normal or VR, though VR is funnier some times), and the Stuff I see is horrible. It really is just a condo game put though a wood chipper and some innapropiate aspects burned, and put into other games. But the Problem is, that the XYZ Genre of games have the same animations, or "dances"

Around 1-3 years ago, I was playing that game where you can use ugc items and make your avatar (I forgot the game name I don’t play roblox anymore) and I remember seeing some guy showing 9-11 year old girls his "stepmom" Somehow, he had hentai on his shirt, you could literally see everything, i was disgusted at what this guy was doing, showing this type of content to children!!
from what ive seen and heard of its still incredibly easy to bypass nsfw images as decals or similar on roblox, bypassed audios are still so abundant that if you were to look at roblox today as a person who's never played it before you'd genuinely think it was an adult game

there are 3D ugc items that are made to appear as one thing then turn into something completely different when applied to certain character bundles, i can't count how many times i've gone on catalog avatar creator and seen literal male genitals running around
then there's also classic clothing being created with built-in chest cleavage and cameltoe and these avatars are being brought into very popular games like natural disaster survival and whoever has them will spam the piano hands and sleep emotes with their back facing the player to ERP in public lobbies, some even have hacked clients and take it further by bypassing roblox's filters to say all kinds of awful things in the chat while children are around

This has been around for a while and yet Roblox moderators have done nothing about this, It's horrible and it sucks, Being young and watching this happen to your favorite app hurts, because this stuff isn't human, It's something combined with the works of very dark stuff coming into plan to be introduced to young people such as me, I hate it.
i joined back in 2016, right at the edge of roblox's golden era ~5 months after the removal of tix. i watched the platform slowly degrade before my eyes. it's really a depressing thing to put into perspective. in 8 years, roblox went from a fun, community-oriented and mostly innocent game to having an infestation of condos, pedophiles, and corporate greed. sometimes i think about quitting roblox as a whole, since all the modern games are gambling/gacha related. only a select few games are fun to me (i'll say Pressure, a VR game called OPPOSER VR, and Jailbreak are the only games i play anymore).

i played minecraft when i was a kid, i never played roblox before..
i only played roblox when i was 13, and.. i didn't think it was a good idea, since my behavior is changed after that.
I'm actually scared for any younger players on roblox to see these type of stuff knowing it could potentially change how they look at females, or potentially become a cheater considering how lustful they might become when they grow up, roblox is doing the worst job removing these type of exposures to younger players. Deep inside my own heart, its disappointing how roblox is becoming less suitable for kids, the ugc creators saying to not use it for inappropriate uses is stupid considering how most people wouldn't listen, this generation is doomed and has already been doomed since it started.

I loved roblox since 2021-2022. I noticed it became VERY VERY expensive and very suspicious. About the slurs and swears on the shirts, i own one actually. It said “i love it when they whimper” i dont really use it and focus with y2k and cutegore/core ones

Look, i definitely get the thing about the chest thing, but its pretty unfair when a guy gets to have fully detailed chest ugc, yet when a chest with little to no detail, i mean, its really helped because half the time when people wear a female avatar, (or atleast for me) you get called a femboy half the time, i get that some people use said items for bad things, but its not like tht ugc creator even want that, half the time when you check the groups, they literally explain how they use the least amount of detail possible
y'know they could just reupload all the Chests with actual Textures instead of just pure colors

I wore a female avatar from 2015-2018. I've seen other female ROBLOXians in games with me before. Nobody ever called them boys. I never got called a boy. Maybe I'm biased because I've been mistaken for a boy for years online elsewhere, but I don't think it matters that much. People don't like those weird, shiny abs either from what I've seen either. We didn't have these fancy UGC with a chest back in my day and earlier, if someone accidentally refered to you as the opposite sex, you could either ignore it or type "I'm a _____." Unfortunately, even if the creators had no malicious intent, the items are going to be used for the wrong purposes. It's like a Pandora's Box.

One time I joined the Rate my avatar game, and I noticed a bunch of people climbing on one of the booths and covering the text. I was wondering what it was, since people were telling others to report it and stuff. After a few minutes, the person switched to the booth right next to the covered one. And that's when I noticed why they were all covering it..

They had put an image of a n*ked b**eaded woman getting "r worded", and they bypassed the text writing about "r-wording children" and all sorts of messed up sentences that I guess you can figure out..
It wasn't the incident itself that was traumatizing, but rather the fact that someone willingly put all that up there, and what's even scarier is that the roblox moderation system let all that through.
