WHERE IS THE AC CABIN FILTER IN A 2021 - 2023 CHEVY TAHOE ?
The A/C cabin filter is located behind the glovebox.

    1. Open the glove box completely.

    4. Release the two tabs holding the service door. Open the service door and remove the old filter.
    5. Install the new air filter.
    6. Close the service door and secure the tabs.
    7. Reverse the steps to reinstall the glove box

Same recommendation I use for all cabin air filters.
    1. Take a fairly liberal coating of scented air freshener….for me Febreeze tropical scent….if you can’t bring the vehicle to the tropics bring the tropics to the vehicle right? Spray a fairly liberal coating on each side. When the new filter is installed correctly it should give a nice fresh tropical breeze coming out on the A/C vents for about a week or two.
    2. On the cabin side of the filter I cut about a 1/4 inch slit in the center of the filter….yes the side where the air flow direction arrow and markings are. Run a small ZipTie through the slit and buckle to the Filter. That ZipTie can make a easy to grab pull tab to make it easier to remove next time.
If your like me and get the K&N washable/removable filter this can be more critical. To remove the filter next time tha pull tab can be accessed by fingers or a simple pick/hook tool.
If your also like me don’t throw away the OEM filter if you get a K&N…..K&N are are exactly what they say….washable. Washable fornL&N means removing, running some low-moderate water pressure through the filtering media and setting in the sun to air dry. Even a OEM is better than nothing and if you need the vehicle in an emergency you have some sort of air filtration until the K&N dries…….
Ideally the K&N should be removed, washed, dried then reinstalled. Depending on how much sun their is and size of the filter or two to air dry. Repeat steps for the Engine Air Filter but you could be able to get a decent grip on those. K&N also allows you to remove, inspect, wash, dry and replace more often than manufacturers recommend if in a dusty or pollen prone area and keep fresh air.
K&N filters are a touch pricey but remember your only paying the upfront cost once and if it keeps clean air for cabin and engine that is two filters that won’t need replacement.
One final thought……. The filters are one piece of a clean cabin. Also remember if you live in a dust prone area there is no shame in removing/inspecting, cleaning, drying and re installing more often than the manufacturer recommends. Remember these are recommendations not written in stone.

The latch/arm on the left separated. Heck of a time reconnecting it, so I can put glove box back

Not sure - you may want to take it to a dealer and get it looked at while the vehicle is still under warranty

I wish you would have actually pulled it out, if you're going to make a video just take 10 seconds and do the whole process. I can't tell if the whole unit comes out or do you have to work out the white part with a screwdriver or something? Otherwise good video though.

dude it does not get any simpler than this job on a car (at least this make/model its not a jag). look at the filter you have in your hand, the new one. one piece. pull out old, slide in new, arrow facing down for flow.
