Being Asians doesn't make them best, their personal development and potential talents got them where they're all now, along with a strong will, tears and sweat, and never ending giving up...
wtf are with the comments about his clothes? He's not a fashion model. He's an artist. He can wear anything he wants. That's also the product of his genius.
Hope you do more work with the 12 string guitar. Just love the rich sound it makes. Keep ut the brilliant work Sungha. Love your videos Fan from Norway
Indeed a persons race has nothing to do with their skills, however from what I've gathered in Asian culture there is a lot of pride in hard work. That is all, and this doesn't mean every asian works hard either. Sungha is simply epic. All Hail, Sungha the Epic! ^^
My dad have been playing guitar for 33 years or more... He does it because he loves playing and it's not what he does for a living. My dad said that he had found someone that I should marry, since I'm a big fan of Korean music... He shows me a video by Sungha Jung "He's only a half year older or something like that" and leaves me with this face: ._. Today, it's been one year since i first heard him play. I don't need to marry him, I just wanna listen to this for the rest of my life. ^^
His parents never forced him to play the guitar. When he was young, his dad bought him a toy guitar and he had so much fun with it, so he started to learn by watching videos. His parents are supportive, but he did it all by himself. He worked very much, yes, but he is also incredibly talented, I don't think that there are many kids who can play Mission Impossible or Pirates of The Carribean at ten or eleven.
It's a 12 string guitar. They were originally invented to provide more amplification (this being before amplifiers) but are still used because of the distinctive sound they give, for example, in pink floyds wish you were here, the main riff was played on a 12 string guitar
He isn't a kid. He has perfect fashion sense, and a very mature playing style, and no one could listen or look at him and believe that this has anything to do with his parents. He is simply a guy who found his passion in life very early, and started to work towards what he wants to do right away. He knows his own mind, and does as he likes. I am very certain of it. Its not that unusual. He is just more talented and ambitious then most.
I just finished practicing my guitar and was like "Hey I fell like I'm getting better at this!" Then....I get on youtube and see you have a new video. and was like..."You know what...forget this! I'm never going to be as good as him!" lol Nice pants by the way XD
Personally i love all of his guitar songs. Even though its just a beautiful sound, I describe it as an emotion or personality defining its meaning throughout the song. very talented and inspirational :D
Haven't seen anything for about a year from him... and all I can say is... holy crap, he's cleaned up his tone a ton! His technical skill was always obviously so very Asian, but now his tone too... mmmmmmmmmm can't wait until he plays Edmonton:)
Chill, I'm sure they just clicked on the wrong button - it happens ;)) You knwo it's impossible to dislike Sungha's video on purpose , so it's the only explanation ;)) GREAT JOB SUNGHA AS ALWAYS! :))
So where is the place I can like this enough to make the dislike bar become invisible? Because I love it! :D I know only one other guy who can play a 12 string guitar as good as Sungha has done, and that guy's been playing for years.
One of my all time favorite songs. great performance!!!! great arrangement!!! I always enjoy your music. the twelve string sounds great! never saw a small one like it. what kind is it? Thank you for all the great music. PEACE
I have the tablature to this. I've tuned my guitar accordingly. The bottom string (the low E string) is specified as being C. However when i tune my string down to C, it really lacks tension. It's very loose, and creates a buzz. It kinda sounds like this is also occuring to Sungha here. Is this ok? Is there a way i can get it sounding better? I suppose i could find the thickest low E string i could for this...but wouldnt want to go to that length just for the purpouse of one tune.....
he can pick up and arrange to string diretly just by hearing once. that's a god-given talent. and it takes usually just a few days to learn a never-heard before new songs. can you do it like him? he also composes though not good at. and most of all, Sungha is very young, younger than you. so his future is promising. imagine when he get old.
He doesn't mean it in a negative way. It's just a stereotype that's been passing through the internet for a while. I agree with you, his practice is far more important regarding his skill than his origin, just calm yourself.
GUYS: 12 strings are completely the same as 6 strings so dont be that surprised. he plays the guitar as 6 it has 6 strings, they just lay that close togethter, thats why it looks so impressive..
Sungha Jung You played love of my life on six-string, but now that you have a 12-string, as seen as the song was written for a 12-string, could you do it. Thx
everything he does with that guitar is just soo flawless love this piece he did soo much...wow!!
There's magic in Sungha's music.. I believe that!!!
Me too :))
Being Asians doesn't make them best, their personal development and potential talents got them where they're all now, along with a strong will, tears and sweat, and never ending giving up...

I like how this video has more likes than views. This kid is defying the rules of nature...
Hope you do more work with the 12 string guitar. Just love the rich sound it makes.

Haven't seen anything for about a year from him... and all I can say is... holy crap, he's cleaned up his tone a ton! His technical skill was always obviously so very Asian, but now his tone too... mmmmmmmmmm can't wait until he plays Edmonton:)

What brand/model is that guitar? The body looks extremely small for a 12-string guitar... Love the sunburst touch on it!
he can pick up and arrange to string diretly just by hearing once. that's a god-given talent. and it takes usually just a few days to learn a never-heard before new songs. can you do it like him? he also composes though not good at. and most of all, Sungha is very young, younger than you. so his future is promising. imagine when he get old.
Amazing sound!

What's up with the ring, did Sungha get married since the last time i saw some of his videos?
oooh, he is awsome, i wish i could play like him
He doesn't mean it in a negative way. It's just a stereotype that's been passing through the internet for a while. I agree with you, his practice is far more important regarding his skill than his origin, just calm yourself.
That's pretty cool how you are getting a sitar sounding secondary effect out of that 12-string guitar.
AMO como tocas la guitarra.
awesome like ever!!!
I looooove your style in this video 3
I love the celtic or oriental sound of a 12 string...
"오해받지 않게 해줘"
Wonderful !!!!!!!!!!
I remember when the Animal came out with this somewhere around 1964!
Awesome pants. Someone's a little jealous. Thanks for the upload
You are amazingly talented and cute!!!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥
What's this guitar? Sounds so good. Like a Sitar
.this is what the 12 string was made for! it sounds like the guitar speaks the don't let me be misunderstood bit
GUYS: 12 strings are completely the same as 6 strings so dont be that surprised.
he plays the guitar as 6 it has 6 strings, they just lay that close togethter, thats why it looks so impressive..
I love his style,bling bling ;))
the most precious diamond
what's that guitar called? It's 12 strings?! Sunghaaaa.. I heart youuu!
great! loving the melody :D
in a 12 string guitar the other 6 strings are tuned exactly the same way or an octave off. so they only serve the purpose of resonance.
love it...
this is beautiful
Nice one, always liked the tune
Sungha Jung
You played love of my life on six-string, but now that you have a 12-string, as seen as the song was written for a 12-string, could you do it. Thx
Love the Sitar kind-of-sound of his 12 string.
wow3.. i love this song
me encantan tus videos
The way his hands move... amazing :LL
Wow. I like this. I've only heard the version by The Animals. But this is kinda fresh to me. You're so talented. Keep it up! ;)
Amazing!!! It sounds like an orchestra! :))
I'm still waiting for that day when he sings.
Is this guitar smaller than his usual one, or do I just have bad vision ?
♥ Sungha
Amazing!!!!!!!
Genial me encanta..!!! i love you...
I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there are still people who dislike this.. come on guys !! open your eyes !!!
beautiful !!
that was some cool 12 string guitar... but what's with the red pants?
