Fish On! Personal Best As I Learn The Off Shore Fishing

For those that dont know me, I've been a fresh water guy basically my whole life with minimal saltwater fishing experience. As I continue to log my hours for my Captain's license, Im learning the fisheries every time I go out. Thanks for hanging out with me!
The strom clouds in the back ground produced a waterspout about a half mile off my starboard side as I was trolling with a full spread, and I was situated in its path. Having experienced this on lake Erie, I knew it would be pretty short lived and likely had nothing to worry about. But then it got closer and I could see the water it was kicking up and decided to hurriedly get all my lines in, fold back the outriggers and 180 outta there. Just as I throttled up, it was gone. So I reset my gear and headed back south. This fish was caught shortly after turn around.
Remember, this is my second time ever doing this type of fishing but I stepped it up a bit, this was also my first go at running a 4 line spread and using the outriggers. I really enjoyed the experience. It was intimidating but fairly simple. The real challenge will be, when my skill at targeting Mahi gets good, I could very well be fighting 4 fish at the same time. Now THAT IS intimidating 😂
You hear me as I became self aware at how hard I WAS breathing (rather embarrassing) and I knew the mic would certainly pick it up, I thought well, may was well make a joke about it 😂😂
I'll have to start keeping the Bonita. They are the exact bait I need for the fish I want. I'm too cheap to buy it at this stage of learning.
