    Hi Jean, do you perhaps have a TH-cam video on what is actually happening when you start your Zoom meeting? Does it take you to your course material? Do you use Keynote or Powerpoint to present and discuss the course with participants?

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mitchell Messina great question and I’m happy to record one today.

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you launch zoom from Thinkific, it’s like a video meeting and I can screen share and chat with participants. I’m more of a google slides person but it works with keynote and PowerPoint. I’ll make a demo and upload it in an hour

      @@LearnWithJean Thank you for your quick response. I'm having a zoom meeting from thinkific tomorrow to discuss my online thinkific course. Your video will be very helpful. I'm looking forward because it will help me to prepare my session for tomorrow. Thank you once again for sharing.

      @@LearnWithJean hi jean I have the same question here, can I share screen or use my PowerPoint slides, google slides when I launch a zoom webinar from thinkific?

  • @debrawestbrook
    @debrawestbrook 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you - just a few questions..........how do students of these zoom meetings access these meetings? Are they clicking on the zoom link I send them and it takes them where? Do they need a login for Thinkific or an already downloaded Zoom app? Are these meetings then saved to my thinkific so as to form a new course? And can I stop the recording during, say, Q&A time?

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great questions!
      1) when you say how do they access - do you mean how do they get into the room? If they are enrolled in the course, you’ll insert the zoom link and they click on it and it takes them to the meeting room and if they don’t have zoom then it prompts them to download the software
      2) the meetings aren’t saved to thinkific - they’re either saved to your hard drive and or to zoom cloud( paid option). The latter means zoom will store it for you ans you can decide whether to chop up the video later or send the replay to students
      3) and you can always stop the recording during a q and a
      Hope that helps! Thanks for the thorough and great questions!

      @@LearnWithJean Yes thank you....access and get into room like any other meeting.......Ok thank you also -saved to my computer like other zoom meetings. Thanks for being patient with me. It helped tremendously. Right now I am deciding on the path to go and it seems since I do zoom meetings the transition to a paid course will work....maybe not for everyone. You have helped tremendously.

    Will the replay automatically appear in Thinkific or do you have to re-upload the recorded webinar if it's recorded? Thank you so much Jean!

    Good information. Will students get notified that new class is available?

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean whether students will get notified of a new live session?

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If this is a live lesson in zoom, students won’t get notified unless you send out an email.

    Can multiple zoom students be on at once just like regular zoom- and does the video automatically save on Thinkific

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi- yes your can Have multiple students on at once and it will automatically save if you want it to-there’s a setting you can check or uncheck

  • @wendysartsparks
    @wendysartsparks 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi there Jean - have you worked out if you can do a weekly class using the same meeting code?

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Wendy- For some reason, zoom treats them as separate meetings. There’s two workarounds: you can set it up in zoom as a recurring meeting and paste the password in the Thinkific lesson to each weekly call- which isn’t ideal or let it generate a new password for each week’s call. The password gets generated in each lesson you set up so that students still access everything from Thinkific and zoom will automatically launch. Let me know if that helps.

    How to send live session reminders with thinkific?? I spend ages coping zoom links

    • @LearnWithJean
      @LearnWithJean  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do it by adding the zoom link to your calendar and sharing the calendar as a public link or send people email reminders. There’s no way to just send live session reminders from zoom or Thinkific unless you connect your email software
