Have never been able to run even at my fittest ...... Just recently started speed walking after getting a diagnosis of high blood pressure...high cholesterol and pre diabetic ..... It's so doable ... And losing weight slowly but surely. ... Which I'm happy with. ❤

I listen to different health benefits (eating this or doing that) while walking. It makes me realize I'm improving my health while I'm actively improving my health
Hello @Donyce19 , that's the great benefit of walking. You can listen to youtube videos, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. while getting your body in great shape. Exercise also help your mindset to retain information. Walk on, Frank
On my walks I always take a water bottle and a light pack with an extra light shirt depending on the weather. Excellent information your video. I've downloaded your checklist and I really enjoy the newsletter. You pack a lot of information in each. Keep up the good work.

The information is valuable for beginning walkers and anyone looking to get into shape. I switch to walking several years ago and found that it helps my mindset, keeps my body lean, and eliminated the many injuries I suffered as a runner. I often walk in the evening and always take a headlamp and reflective vest with me. They fit in my hip pack and using them lets cars easily see me!
I carry a bottle of water and make sure I wear my Apple Watch so I can check my steps and take any notes if needed. Absolutely no phones. I walk early morning and after work for at least an hour and sometimes more 7 days a week rain or shine but sometimes if it’s too wet I’ll get on the treadmill for an hour.

Hello @user-jf3ff8od1n, yes, walking barefoot has some very interesting benefits. I watched the documentary The Earthing Movie th-cam.com/video/44ddtR0XDVU/w-d-xo.html and found it so compelling that I began walking barefoot in my backyard for 20 minutes at a time, several days per week. As it's now cold in North Jersey, I follow up by soaking my feet in warm water for a few minutes afterward. I don't know if barefoot walking does exactly what the documentary says it will do (help reduce inflammation in the body), but my feet feel pretty good afterward. I recommend giving barefoot walking a try. Check out the documentary; it was very good. Walk on, Frank
