About to launch my candle business in 3-4 weeks and yikes, the testing, esp for the wicks, has been insane! Started with too many different vessels, different types of wicks -cotton and wooden wicks with too many fragrances. The only frustrating part so far has been the wicking! Using the Cocobright wax from California Candle Supply and adding a bit of beeswax as well now.
Very frustrating 3 months later as I’m still testing for at least half of my vessels and fragrances.😵💫🤪😅😂
I plan to host some home candle making events by Springtime. Thank again for this great video, truly appreciated! Especially loved the idea of adding the different fragrant wax tins so everyone can decide more easily on what they’ll prefer to make.

So far… I haven’t had to advertise. It’s been by word of mouth. I do one party… and book 3 more. But when I’m ready to advertise it would be on Facebook pages for businesses.

Do you have recommendations on how to price and candle making class. What would you say is a reasonable price per person?
Between $25 & $55… per person. Depends on what you offer
Wow! The wax pourinf picture with spoon is $16.99
Yes they are a little pricy, but a great investment. The are stainless steel and can last a lifetime. I suggested buying a couple at a time... and then buy more over a period of time...as you grow your business.

Hello Sherry, I was wondering if you have a party of 6, how many wax jars do recommend?
Also do you do farmer’s market to sell your candles? My concern is the melting in high temperatures.

for a party of 6, I would take 12 jars... in case someone breaks or messes up their jar or an unexpected candle maker shows up. And yes... I do farmers markets... not usually outdoors in July or August... seldom in June. I have found a few indoor markets during the summer. Hope this helps!

Do they take all supplies, did you print out information on waxes etc
No… they just take the candle they made. No I did not print out anything.
What do you give the host for having the party in their home?
You could give them a goodie bag, with a few of your products. 3 is always the magic number for items in the goody bag.
Okay so this is like my 4th time watching this video. FO is expensive. You allow for a lot of different choices in FO's. I think selecting oils is one of the fun parts of the class but how do I minimize costs? Like can I get away with just 6 FO choices?
Yes you can.... you can always offer 6 dif fragrances... maybe to increase your collection by offering them in a different size or style candle jar. This allows your collection to offer more.

Hopefully in the next 2 weeks. The party house that I am using to create the video is under renovations that is taking longer than I expected. I may try to come up with a video that I don't need to be onsite.
@@wilcandles Good luck. im trying to get started with selling candles but prefer learning to do the shows. i’ve been making candles for 8 years with my bf she has a company. i’m struggling with wick sizing my vessels🥹 at this point im losing faith in the c6 wax. i’ve always used soy and switched
