Good podcast, but like most I've seen Robert O'Neill talk about this a million times. Same story told to different people. There are so many other seals out there and tier 1 operators who have great stories that have not been told.

Multiple seals have gone on record saying this isn't what we do this isn't what we are about, but he's singing like a songbird. Most special forces guys just don't talk about their combat operations.

@J Dawg one thing we do know, is he was 100% one of the 5 or 6 ppl (mayb more or less not sure) who raided that compound in Pakistan. And everyone of them knew it was basically a death sentence. Putting your life on the line for our country, knowing there is high chance you don’t make it back,definitely warrants being called an American Hero. Whether he was the one who pulled the trigger hisself or not. And regardless if he’s telling the full truth about the story, he’s still a Badass and he pulled quite a few tours to Afghanistan and few other places I believe.

And even if he was the one to pull the trigger it still pissed off a lot of navy seals that he went public with the whole thing and took credit. Probably one of the highest profile military operations of all time and now this dudes talking to the nelk boys on a podcast. Hard to take it serious at this point

He tells a story about what the men of their unit did. A story we all knew about. A story that many people are thankful he shared. Especially the families of those who died in the towers, planes, and pentagon. He pulled the trigger so his story is important for many reasons. He has also stated MANY MANY TIMES that his story was vetted by the department of defense before he released his book.

When the bin laden mission first happened the whole world was basically told you aren't going to know who or how it was done. We don't go in the public eye. But look who just couldn't control the compulsion. Was just too much to be gained. Too much celebrity to pass up. To many ego strokes. In the first 30 seconds he gave you all the high points. I'm sure his service is appreciated but what an attention seeker. And a book too. He just couldn't resist. The strength to be a SEAL, no strength to check his ego n keep his yap shut.

Ehhhh idk, what I do know if some of the team6 guys were killed in extortion17. I was in Afghanistan at the time and pushed in to the valley to recover the personnel whom were killed in that crash. It was extremely messy and just sad…I didn’t know how to feel, unloading that many Americans bodies was life altering..I went to the shower conned after and sat with the water on, so much blood running off my kit and uniform…I wish more was being done to cover that situation.
