    Check the Fur
The fur lining in real UGG boots has a rich creamy color and feels thick, fluffy, and soft. Counterfeit boots are a grayish whitish color and feel thin, scraggly, and like plastic. If you have a hard time telling the difference between real and synthetic fur, one way to tell is by rubbing it.
As a premium global brand we are wildly popular around the world. Counterfeiters try to benefit from our popularity by fooling customers into purchasing fake products. We combat counterfeiting to safeguard our relationship with you and give you the best possible experience.
Check out our dedicated UGG® anti-counterfeit social media pages on Facebook and Twitter to get updates on new scams counterfeiters are using or to ask us questions.
Please check out our store locator to find an authorized retailer near you. You can also purchase authentic UGG® products on UGG.com and shop our limited-time Sale at the UGG® Closet.
    Counterfeit Gallery
UGG® is renowned for the luxurious comfort of twinface sheepskin and exceptional craftsmanship. Fake shoes and boots are made with dubious and inferior materials.
Please note: As we consistently update our styles and design concepts, we also modify our labels, outsoles, interior tags, and boxes. As part of these updates, many of our newer authentic UGG product may not have the registered ® trademark symbol.
Take a look at the images below to see for yourself:
How can you tell if baby Uggs are fake?
If your baby Uggs are authentic, you can check the label on the back of the shoe. An authentic shoe will have a label that reads "UGG" in all capital letters, with the word "Australia" directly beneath it in all lower-case letters.
Which is the original UGG company?
    Image result
Due to increasing popularity and sales, in 1991 the company changed its name to "The Original Ugg Co." In 1999, Whitworth sold the company name and the British UGG trade mark to Deckers Outdoor Corporation, renaming his company the Celtic Sheepskin Company.
    Why is UGG so expensive?
UGGs are expensive due to the double layer of sheepskin material used to make them. In addition to paying for the brand name, you are also investing in high-quality, comfortable footwear. ... A lot of human labor is required to make one pair of UGG boots, and they only use treated skin to create the boots

Thanks for putting this up! Another test is pulling the outside suede and inside fur at the same time to ensure they are connected as real uggs would be. I’ve been buying secondhand and authenticity is obviously a concern for me and I’m wondering if all fakes are as obvious as these

So pretty much you gotta see inside the boot and the bottom to determine authenticity... also I can see plain as day the difference on the wool between the authentics and the knock offs

The ones in Australia are real, just some capitalized on the name. It happens a lot. I’m still buying from local Aussies.
