  • Today we got to take a 2004 Yamaha Road Star 1700 out for a spin! This is a super neat bike, and it rides really well. Its running the standard Vance and Hines exhaust and also a aftermarket air box. On top of all that is was tuned. Hope you guys enjoy, comment if there is anything you would like to know!

    After 40+ bikes I have settled on a 2005 Yamaha Road Star Midnight Edition 1700 Silverado. One of the best bikes you will ever find. Buy one before they are gone

    Had 03 road star for ten trouble free years, great bike , move to a 13 road King classic also super comfortable, able to do longer days and more miles on the King

    Pipes sound great even with the baffles in them, which is surprising. I just bought an 07, so I need to make up my mind which pipes to put on it.

      The vance and hines on that bike is so nice. A deep rumble but not overly loud that you can't hear anything, that vid doesn't do justice to the sound of my bike!

    I have the same bike same color. It has around 45000 miles on it. Some of these bikes have close to 200000 miles on them and still going.

    Where did you get the rear saddlebag guards/crash bars?

    • @IceColdKiller72
      @IceColdKiller72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i think those are extra accessories that you can buy already on the bike. I bought It second hand so I'm not sure where they got them but ik they have the Yamaha logo on the bags

    Whats the difference between a Vmax, 1700cc Roadstar and a Warrior??

    • @zacjg0
      @zacjg0 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      DarkLinkAD the vmax is a power cruiser, they put like 140 horses to the ground it's a v4 engine. the roadstar is a more standard cruiser with a v twin less power but better for the long range rides, the warrior is the same engine just hopped up, higher compression, fuel injected, lower geard ect, it's also got bobbed fenders and a different looking and smaller tank. I also like the royal star it has a v4 but it's more of a touring bike.

      Ahh, thanks man, that gets a bit confusing.
      Would you happen to know if the FJ (80s and 90s) engine is essentially the same as an FZ1 engine (90s and early 2000s) (not the newest FZ1 engine)

    • @zacjg0
      @zacjg0 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      DarkLinkAD I'm not sure on that one, those are not much my style of bike haha. I'm a classic cruiser guy.

      I hear ya, I prefer the look of the 70s Yamaha Enduros.
      Nothing cheaply used onroad I can find, so im just going reliable and quick.

    • @zacjg0
      @zacjg0 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      DarkLinkAD well I bet you'd like a vmax, they put alot of sport bikes to shame, but you still have the riding position of a cruiser.
