The "I used to be homophobic" video described why I initially stopped believing in the Christian god. Despite being queer myself, it was the lived experience of my gay Christian friend torturing himself to be "pure" that pushed me over the edge and caused me to question everything. Now we are both openly queer and ex-Christian. ❤✌
Also, I don’t have that mug. I’m going to Walmart this week and I’m going to be quite upset if they don’t have at least one of those two mugs in stock. I’ll be so upset in fact that I might just sue. Only time will tell.
No for real I feel like the world is healing partially, people get more open on the individual basis, acceptance is actually a thing now but at the same time the world also breaks more and more, when I look fot the European Union vote results for example. It's really weird. I don't even try to know anymore.
Fully validating the first minute of the video. I was dreading pride this year because of how awful the vibe was last year. I would agree that it’s not as bad this year, but I think public support seems lower. Corporations are even more hesitant to pledge support, which , while not a direct 1:1, it is a way our visibility is being curtailed.
15:05 I feel this one. I was raised as an evangelical Christian, my mom was raised as an evangelical Christian, both her parents…going back generations. Now I know I am nonbinary and pansexual. My parents are also out of this mindset and my grandparents have no idea I am queer. Although my aunt is out to my grandparents so they at least are somewhat cordial about it.
i think the perspective is that these companies dont rly *believe* in these things, they just change their pfp for marketing and to go on with a "trend". they may donate some money to a charity, but conservatives believe these charity owners are just pocketing the money and not making any change in the world (even if they are). overall it just seems fake, a pride pfp makes no change in the world other than a gold star from liberals which is either the majority, or the most "criticizing/cancel culture/scary" group- (just looking at it as a marketing decision) thats just to kinda explain it from another perspective but i do agree, its literally just a pfp and if the right wants to over obsess about a rainbow pfp then the left can over obsess about musicians and celebrities *not* taking a stance on trending issue. (mostly in relation to the cancelation of celebs that dont take the "correct" side in the isreal hamas issue- like they literally sing ab breakup songs why do u think theyll change americans minds on a foreign war lol). no hate just wanted to respond ❤️ kinda ranted now that im reading over but i think its an important perspective- not the smartest by far 😭 but worth it at the least
One adorable moment I had, was when I was in a takeaways with my brother, and a little girl, with her mother, excitedly asked if we were gay couple. As normally, in the past, if I was out and about with my actual gay partners. It was usually assumed that we were brothers. Regardless of how different we looked.

I came out as INTERSEX exactly 2 years ago on the 22nd of this PRIDE MONTH when I began researching the individual letters in "LGBTQ--I--A+", leaning that the "I" referred to the term "INTERSEX", the new term for what I have been referred to practically since birth--"HERMAPHRODITE". Growing up I was always being confronted with a group of weirdos who called themselves "Hermaphrodites Arising", a group of weird hippies who claimed to be hermaphrodites and against the conflict in Vietnam. My parents kept me far away from groups and individuals like this, as they were sometimes quite determined to talk to me, the reason for which gradually became apparent to me over time. I was born Kleinfelters 48 (XXXY) with CAH, which caused me some health problems early-on but "just disappeared" about the age of 3, only to return during puberty as NCAH. Prior to age 3 my parents always dressed me in little girl's dresses. From ages 3 to 7 my parents dressed me in girls' dresses, then in boys' pants, so that I never knew if I was going to church or kindergarten in dresses or pants. When I was 7 my doctors app, as apparently had a medical emergency with me, which cost a lot, and I mean a lot, of money, apparently an emergency having something to do with sepsis, as I was both a girl and a boy. After a surgery of some kind, after a few weeks I returned back to school, even then though, I still had to use a single occupancy restroom, as apparently, I was still both a girl and a boy but urinated only through my penis, which was weird to me for a number of years following until puberty when my scrotum grew over my "little whole" so I looked fairly much like a real "boy", but with some rather obvious distinctions which kept me fairly isolated through junior high and high school. My voice never deepened, and even today I am still referred as a "girl" by most people. I grew up being identified as a girl, although the school and church knew me to actually a boy, however, a very "feminine boy". Most of my friends were girls, even though I had many friends who were boys, but still no one like me. Today I still am referred to as a woman, without breasts however. After age 7 my parents always kept my hair cut short to help prevent me from being mistaken for a girl, but that confusion usually did not work very well as I continued to be identified by others as a girl with short hair. I am a complete girl internally, with 2 ovaries, a uterus, and no prostate. I am a partial boy externally with 2 testes and a small penis, but with a consistently low testosterone level. My doctors have explained that, most likely I was born as two individual cells "xx" and "xy", meant to be twin girl and boy, but due to my mother's radioactive cobalt treatment for leukemia the two cells were fused together with complete union into both "XX" and "XY" in all of my cells, a form of chimerism yielding every cell as XXXY. The doctors still refer to me as "most probably unique". After I discovered a community of INTERSEX individuals, after June of 2022, I began frantically searching for others who were INTERSEX, attempting to somehow make contact with them. The INTERSEX COMMUNITY is now MY COMMUNITY, and yes, there are, in fact, OTHERS LIKE ME. I AM NOT ALONE ANYMORE, but I still have difficulty making contact with most of them. I pray that, one day, I can attend a group with other INTERSEX individuals rather than just contacting them on the internet. EVEN now I still have a problem with the LGBTQ part of the UMBRELLA or RAINBOW, as I have also heard the LGBTQ referred too, since I am heterosexual, married to a wonderful and beautiful woman, and, most of all have biological children, something to which I have always been told I would never be able to have, a biological family with four biological children, 1 daughter and 3 sons, but my daughter passed away recently from complications due to Addison's Disease, a condition she had apparently inherited from me, not her mother, due to my CAH and NCAH, I have yet to learn about any affects my condition has had on my sons.
@@salemsmith7085 My purpose is to make an attempt to contact others who are intersex. As for myself, keep your pity, I also have CCR5 delta 32 which prevents me from getting many serious diseases or illnesses which most other people can acquire such as cancer or diabetes.

Well, I can't speak for other eras of the Star Wars Fandom, but I can definitely say that the Prequels/TCW section goes hog wild for queer interps and AUs. Quality of content may vary (some does get a bit Stereotype-y), but that goes for most fandoms, and speaking from personal experience across a variety of fandoms in my life, a lot of the less complex or progressive portrayals come from teenagers who are only just starting to engage with queer issues or content and are about 18 months away from realizing that they themselves are definitely not cis and it comes about because they read a 150k fanfic where Anakin Skywalker is trans or some such.

I weirdly love the duo bird in a bikini lol I normally screen shot my Spanish whenever something gay is said like "this is his boyfriend" I'm like "oh gay" screenshot lol Those kids saying happy pride and "I love this house" is why I have a pride flag in my window all year round ❤️ Sadly this year I have already been yelled and though my window and called a "f*clingy f**" three times by a bunch of school boys, but if it makes 1 kid feel less alone it's worth it ❤️ I'm like if your gonna insult me atleast get it right, I'm trans and demi/bi , calling me an f** has no affect on me.
I just had an idea for anyone who runs into religious bigots at pride. Just scream/sing "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so" repeatedly. I tried being religious as a kid (just never stuck) and this was my favorite Christian song. Happy Pride everyone. Stay safe! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Storm troopers come in all flavours. Here in Scotland they wear kilts what is just awesome. Happy pride and love to all from Edinburgh.
The StormTroopers are probably from the 501st- it's a huuuggee group of Star Wars cosplayers that usually march in parades and go to conventions. I'm pretty sure they do LARP groups (Live Action Role Play) also, but I'm not entirely sure I just know they're a big collective of high level cosplayers.
Slightly off topic, but Cold Shoulder is probably one of my favorite Adele songs.
Also... I hope everyone manages to have fun this pride, despite everything that's been going on in the last few years 💖
i love ur videos so much, as a young trans kid u rlly inspire me
Girl, how did I JUST find your channel, subscribed immediately
Welcome! 🤩
Your videos are incredible. How you put something so cohesive like this every week is astounding.
My friends kids are both trans and are diehard Star Wars fans @4:33
We actually watched the movies and shows a few times together and they refer to me as there uncle 🏳️🌈😊
If your friend has more then one kid thats transformer maybe its the parents
the more frequent uploads are so hype!!!
that last one, i thought that at first too, but listening to what she was saying before he definitely said work sucks, someone even repeated it after. i misheard it at first too but yk
You said Happy Pride last video too. Happy Pride Sam! Love Your work! Hope your week is going well! 🤍🧸💀
Also, I don’t have that mug. I’m going to Walmart this week and I’m going to be quite upset if they don’t have at least one of those two mugs in stock. I’ll be so upset in fact that I might just sue. Only time will tell.
I changed my braces colors to pride colors some days ago!! You look great in urs Samantha!🫶🫶
"The world is healing."
Eastern German results of the votes:Are you sure about that?
No for real I feel like the world is healing partially, people get more open on the individual basis, acceptance is actually a thing now but at the same time the world also breaks more and more, when I look fot the European Union vote results for example.
It's really weird.
I don't even try to know anymore.
Fully validating the first minute of the video. I was dreading pride this year because of how awful the vibe was last year. I would agree that it’s not as bad this year, but I think public support seems lower. Corporations are even more hesitant to pledge support, which , while not a direct 1:1, it is a way our visibility is being curtailed.
@@PanzarInthelake that’s too bad man. Do you watch Eric Andre?
15:05 I feel this one. I was raised as an evangelical Christian, my mom was raised as an evangelical Christian, both her parents…going back generations. Now I know I am nonbinary and pansexual. My parents are also out of this mindset and my grandparents have no idea I am queer. Although my aunt is out to my grandparents so they at least are somewhat cordial about it.
I FREAKING LOVE Samantha! ♥🏳🌈♥🏳⚧♥
Everyone in Duolingo’s comments is like “no duo I thought you were better than this😔” bc they made their pfp a pride flag😭
i think the perspective is that these companies dont rly *believe* in these things, they just change their pfp for marketing and to go on with a "trend". they may donate some money to a charity, but conservatives believe these charity owners are just pocketing the money and not making any change in the world (even if they are). overall it just seems fake, a pride pfp makes no change in the world other than a gold star from liberals which is either the majority, or the most "criticizing/cancel culture/scary" group- (just looking at it as a marketing decision) thats just to kinda explain it from another perspective but i do agree, its literally just a pfp and if the right wants to over obsess about a rainbow pfp then the left can over obsess about musicians and celebrities *not* taking a stance on trending issue.
I love you so much! I love that you've been putting out so many new videos lately!!
There are volunteer groups that dress as Star Wars characters and do charity - that's probably what this Pride parade group was. ❤😊
why did the “is elmo a mouse” have me cackling💀
So good. Glad you are on the Board of Glaad! Happy pride month Samantha
the right time for parents to teach their kids about LGBT issues is when they're teaching their kids about cishet issues. IF THEY'RE OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW ABOUT STRAIGHT PEOPLE, THEY'RE OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW ABOUT GAY PEOPLE!
Not really, straight is naturally occurring, lgbtq is artificially made
@@petervizzini4006 have you ever looked at the animal kingdom, let alone people.
people always have been always will be gay, happens in nature too not just humans, even male penguins will raise an egg they find together
@@ki.44524 So penguins have a sense of community doesn't necessarily mean their gay

GIRL OMG YOUR BRACES ARE SO CUTE
your voice is so entertaining and calming to listen to. this if my first video of yours i'm watching and i love your channel so far !! ❤
Girl we miss you on Twitch, Keep up with all the great videos!!!
I loved star wars as a kid! There even is a (canon) trans clone trooper called sister.
I just love your energy so much, Samantha! I came out as trans recently myself and I have to say that you are an inspiration!
@@PanzarInthelakeobviously your job isn’t hard enough if you have enough time to whine on the internet. Work some overtime, and with that extra money go ahead and donate to a pride organization. Much love and happy pride month🫶
@@PanzarInthelake I actually had a stroke reading that excuse of a sentence. How pathetic are you to comment several times on one video arguing with people? Did your mother not love you enough as a child, so now you have to seek validation by commenting online? You know that she gets money from your comments on her video right? You are directly funding a trans woman by being an excuse of a citizen. Happy pride month🫶
9:00 I don’t have that mug… because Walmart probably doesn’t ship to my country
As a trans 16 year old girl, kids are scary when they're homophobic... Until you realize that they're too chicken to actually fight you. *cough cough* my freshman year of high school...
Happy last day of pride Month... But pride itself is never ending!!!
9:39 samatha going on about crystals- living for this content now 😭❤
Im non-binary and aroace and i love Star Wars. Currently watch the Acolyte. There is a trans woman actress in this show. 💜
Your teeth look so cute! I wish more people realized that not having perfect teeth/braces is *not* a bad thing. Your teeth give you so much character, just like your facial features or your hair.
I feel both like I didn't know Adele was an ally, but I ABSOLUTELY knew she was an ally...she just a queen and absolutely gives ally-vibes.
EVEN now I still have a problem with the LGBTQ part of the UMBRELLA or RAINBOW, as I have also heard the LGBTQ referred too, since I am heterosexual, married to a wonderful and beautiful woman, and, most of all have biological children, something to which I have always been told I would never be able to have, a biological family with four biological children, 1 daughter and 3 sons, but my daughter passed away recently from complications due to Addison's Disease, a condition she had apparently inherited from me, not her mother, due to my CAH and NCAH, I have yet to learn about any affects my condition has had on my sons.
if this is a true story, i feel for u
but if u sre trying to use chat gpt bestie u need to try again

I haven't had a chance to see all your videos yet, kind of browsed back a bit but wanted to say it would be pretty cool to see your reaction about the trans representation that was on Supergirl, It made me so happy when I watched it(especially knowing that Nia is being played by a trans woman actress(Nicole Maines)) but I would love to know your perspective on it all. :)
Awes! Your braces are adorable!
Happy pride month🫶 my grandma bought rainbow bracelets for the whole family and some pinwheels for her garden. 🏳️🌈 I even took one and sewed it onto my battle jacket
Happy pride month! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️❤️
Samantha theres a whole army of Trans Clones, we love star wars!
So cuuuute with the braces. Very subtle love. You rock it ❤❤❤ happy pride.
Hi Samantha
I LOOOVE THE WORM ON STRING SHIRT !!!!!!!! I NEED IT N O W
that ally mom is the best i saw a compilation of tiktoks of her. she's an absolute queen and the world needs more moms like her ✨
I went to the dollar store and all the pride stuff was turned backwards. I took time to turn it right side forward. Some guy watched me and made snide comments under his breath. Like really. Who cares if theres rainbows in dollar tree.... its dollar tree.
Slaying as always samantha! Youre a doll! Happy pride to everyone!
Honestly the most irritating thing about the hot topic pride collection is the fact that it has a bunch of different pride flags, and yet NONE of them have the gay male flag...
I'm no hater, but that rock looked like an MRI of my Liver ^__^
I weirdly love the duo bird in a bikini lol I normally screen shot my Spanish whenever something gay is said like "this is his boyfriend" I'm like "oh gay" screenshot lol
Those kids saying happy pride and "I love this house" is why I have a pride flag in my window all year round ❤️
Sadly this year I have already been yelled and though my window and called a "f*clingy f**" three times by a bunch of school boys, but if it makes 1 kid feel less alone it's worth it ❤️
I'm like if your gonna insult me atleast get it right, I'm trans and demi/bi , calling me an f** has no affect on me.
12:40 humans are so precious, I hope those kids have an amazing life
Goddamn good for Adele. She went hard there.
Not the lawyer on a float being pulled by a cybertruck lol! New lawsuits unlocked!
At 12:00 was that the Kevin Jz Prodigy ‘HERE COMES THE hURRICANE LEGENDARY KATRINA’ sound thing? Idk if anyone knows what I’m talking about lol
bruhhh the one with the kids and the house made me tear up tooooo
I just had an idea for anyone who runs into religious bigots at pride. Just scream/sing "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so" repeatedly. I tried being religious as a kid (just never stuck) and this was my favorite Christian song. Happy Pride everyone. Stay safe! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Are you saying that Dualingo could be an angry bird? ;-) Sesame street has always been about acceptance; it's not about any identity, it's not about sexuality, it's about acceptance! Kids have ZERO filter, and they can be horrible, sometimes unintentionally, sometimes clearly on purpose.
the guy in the adele clip definitely said work sucks
So we got to handle two things at once. work sucks and pride rocks. Sounds like a huge win!
What? He said "woke sucks"
