My dad used to have a 1964 Comet Cyclone. I built this model as a replica of his old car and gave it to him for christmas a couple of years ago. He really liked it.

My uncle Bob restored same car. Took straight 6 out and three on the tree. Put a boss motor out of a wrecked mustang and 4 on the floor. His was an orangish red. Black interior. I loved riding in that car

I have 2 of those kits & I do intend to build them stock, it's a pity that one of the resin companies is no longer in business because they had a 65 Comet Caliente convertible, if they did I'd make it look like Roger Healey's on IDOJ

I'm very glad that have reviewed this kit. I would never buy a kit that has parts removed and I hope everyone else feels the same. HOW do I know something I need has been taken ? I don't and neither do you. This is a definite DON'T BUY ! Thanks for sharing !

Just finished this kit. Very nice! I painted using Tamiya Metallic Red lacquer spray, turned out excellent. My best car model in recent times. Had paint troubles with others, using cheaper Rustoleum paints. I'll stick with Tamiya. This was my first Moebius kit build, but been modeling since the late 1960s. A few differences from the usual AMT, MPC and Revell kits.

The Molotow Chrome pens might make it easier to "fix" the chrome issues. Easier than the bare metal foil. Good review. I don't like the empty spots on the sprues. That usually means something is missing, but we don't really know. Whether or not I would ever buy this kit would depend on the price, and my backlog. Great review, thanks, Solomon

great video steve, thanks. we should have the guts to complain at moebius for the missing
parts on the trees,or they change the molds or they sell us complete trees. allways thougt
    the client was the king...

Great, Great Review. I really liked how you showed the different trim and hood options using 1/1 scale car's. As far as the missing pieces in the sprue tree's, doesn't bother me at all just means that we will be seeing a different version of the car down the road. Again, Awesome Review and I really look forward to seeing more of your car model reviews.
    Thanks. Jeff

That's very true, it just seams like a lot effort for Moebius to go through the trouble of removing all those parts on all those kits.

Steve, I am going to change what I had commented on above because after reading your reply and watching the video again as I missed a few things on the first time. I agree with you 100 % about the missing parts, what we pay for these kits it would of been really nice to have those parts in the kit. Thanks Steve, I appreciate you and your channel, really love watching it.

When model companies sometimes make their molds ,they design an alternate version with separate runners they can block off and open up later. This seem like a marketing decision to make two versions and release them at different dates.Whats CRAZY to me is having to pay someone to cut little parts off of sprues and throw them away.I guess the parts are recycled, but still.I can see why they would want to spread the two versions apart.Release a kit of a subject that has been long awaited and everybody is excited and buys them up.A year or so latter, release the version everyone wanted in the first place with renewed excitement.Which brings up my question, would you buy more of a certain kit in separate released boxes, or as a 2 n 1 one /3 n 1 all in one box?
