I figured the price was due to licensing, but Mattel could've put more effort on these dolls. Give them cleaner screenings and articulated (preferrably MTM) bodies. Cute doll nonetheless.
I agree about the Teresa sculpt. I wouldn't mind seeing a closed mouth version of her in a future Barbie Looks wave. * knock on wood *

I am a HUGE fan of that Teresa Mold. and this Lupita is looking great. Sad about the pixelated eyes. Just as a a lil bit of info: RBD Telenovela had previous Barbies in 2007, that were really successful (in Latinamerica).. and now Mattel is releasing this new RBD set because the RBD band group just did a very successful reunion tour last year (with plans to continue this year, but it didn't happen due to some controversial things that surfaced during this year). While I do agree that having these pricey dolls in fashionista bodies is not ideal, you have to consider this is a licensed doll, released mainly for Latino fans, so probably they are still within a "budget doll", who knows. I really miss the old Teresa mold, and Hope Mattel brings us that face mold with updated screening!!!
Edmond, you really shouldn't show the real Alysa in front of Lupita. You're gonna have every girl who comes to Edmonton fearful of her(save Lina). It's bad enough that Alysa takes clothes from the newbies, but does she have to take the men for herself? She even turned on her 2nd self 💀.

This are made for playline the quality and easy to open packaging is proof. But why little kids won't even born when this show was on. A shame this is the first Teresa face mold doll in a long time and she's pixelated.
