Geniuses often don’t recognize genius in themselves. He had such a high expectation of perfection he didn’t think his own abilities worthy. This was true of Freddie. It was true of all four of the members of Queen.
Freddie Mercury...te seguimos amando. Escuchando y viendo tus videos, gracias TH-cam por no dejarnos olvidar su belleza, talento y personalidad. Descansa tranquilo. Siempre tu.❤❤❤
Thank you for that..hearing all those piano parts in isolation.....you see in an interview when he’s asked about being the leader of the band, he replies “I’m just the lead singer”......in his personal life he was the opposite to his stage performance....modest and humble...he never boasted about his skills...He always talked about “we”.....including the other members of the band...and I love the way he was so protective of John...in a subtle way.....in the Live Aid rehearsal vid there is a cameraman just focusing on John...Freddie wanders over casually...still singing and stands facing John...blocking the cameraman’s view...Freddie the legend...sorry..I went down a rabbit hole there...thanks again for a brilliant vid🤩
Why did he underestimate himself? Because he had such high perfectionist standards he was probably comparing himself to the truly great pianists of the time. However, we all know the man and his music was other worldly. Miss him every day.
Thank you so much for this video....knowing all the piano parts... and hearing them altogether is such a treat......he left such a legacy for us....we were lucky to have had him even though his life was short...Freddie Mercury R.I.P.💫✨⭐️
So like Freddie to make light of anything he did . He probably thought he was a mediocre singer and a semi- decent composer 😂Yet there are college courses and musicians who study his voice and compositions to this day. Philharmonic orchestras have done fabulous concerts and made albums playing his music.. Bohemian Rhapsody was the most streamed song of the 20th century . I can’t even imagine what music we don’t have because Freddie passed away so young. Freddie Mercury is irreplaceable 😞
What I also find very important is that school music lessons are mostly used for forgotten homework. My children's music teacher and his students 'took apart' an entire school year of Bohemian Rapsody and the Barcelona Album. At least my two didn't do any homework this year.
@@anne-mariesindruprix4792 the sense is that , Freddie Mercury .together with Queen, plays what he invented ,he does not play things written by others.I am not English, I hope I am understandable.🙂
Bellissimi video.
Naturally he wasn't the best pianist on the world, but he's surely. I think what he meant with his skills being low was that he wasn't virtuosistic as a pianist prodigy who can play la campanella by Paganini-Listz. But putting that apart, he's surely a really good pianist and a wonderful frontman
Freddie Mercury did know how to read sheet music, since he received a classical musical training. What happens is that Freddie got to a level and then continued on his own.
Oh the live rendition of White Queen , ahhhhh so brilliant, so sexy , so amazing, we love you still Freddie , my next favorites are Millionaire Waltz , My MelancholyBlues , And the Game, when it comes piano . I took up piano because of our dear Freddie , the songs I can play are Love of My Life , Who Wants to live Forever , and The Show Must go On, but nothing near on as well as Mr Mercury
As someone who is learning to play Freddie’s music on the piano, I can concur, it’s muy difícil. But I think the reason that he underestimated himself is because he was a lover of opera and classical music so he was always comparing himself.
I geni non sono mai soddisfatti di quello che fanno, pensano sempre che si potrebbe fare meglio, freddie eccelleva in tutto ma ma pensava sempre di non essere al top
Seven seas of Rhye live from Wembley 1986 was overdubbed, the original live piano part was not that good so they decided to replace. You can hear the original here on TH-cam searching the bootleg of that concert
How about:the march of the black queen, flick of the wrist, fairy faller master stroke,my fairy king(intro), bring back that leroy brown, Mustapha, need your loving tonight and don't stop me now They have a more authentic and good piano
He said that he's not very good pianist and as such a successful musician he was actually right, even the "harder" songs (like the millionaire waltz intro or seven seas of rhye but studio version only, left hand is kinda tricky) shown here aren't very advanced. He played well, but he's playing skills are just overrated. However his composer abilities were amazing and he had perfect pitch.

Freddie was also an excelent piano player❤❤❤❤❤

I always thought Freddie was phenomenal at everything he did !!!!!! 😍❤️🎤🎹🔥
Let's just all agree on truth and fact...ok ?? Freddie was a GOD. (nuff said) 💎💎💎💎💎
Freddie was BIZARRELY humble.
Freddie was a magnificent pianist; he was absolutely vibrant!
I have goose-bumps all over. Sorry Freddie, no other pianist can do that to me but you! ❤
His seven seas of rhye is perfect since the second night at Wembley 86
Musical genius!!!!!

Some of those Piano pieces are so Haunting! puts a Tear in my eye?💗😩
That intro to Death on Two Legs is just so much fun.

Freddie era un bravo pianista❤❤
This was one of my favorite songs ! The music was haunting! ❤️🌹🎸🎤🎹🥁🎶🎸👑
Freddie was musical perfection. He wrote ,he sang, and performrd for his audiences.

Everything you said is SO TRUE 🙏🏻

2:21 F. Mercury sounds & plays like a Bach's partitas until Mozart's style! ...he was a great piano player too! I think🎶🎵🎶👏👏👏😉👍
and let's not forget that not only does it play, but all the music was written by Freddie❤

Wow 🎉 beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ I always thought that dear Freddie was the Mozart of rock 🥌
Que magnífico compilado...... Gracias..... Freddie me quitas el aliento 💜💜 💜
Death on two legs man soooo good
Brian is like Freddie about his guitar playing they both can play there respective instruments better then they think they can

And to top it off he couldn't read sheet music. He played all by ear..the man was phenomenal!!!
So how does on write music if one can’t read sheet music? Did he just memorise it?
Freddie Mercury did know how to read sheet music, since he received a classical musical training. What happens is that Freddie got to a level and then continued on his own.
He took piano since he was 8

Love of my life got the best melody and chord progressions from almost any other Queen song. So complicated, yet so simple.
Right on Darling Freddie , ❤ you LOVIE ❤🎉❤🎉 OHIO JUNE 29TH 2023
🎉 wow ❤ beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ playing the piano and vocalizing for exercises in free love is also pretty awesome 😎💯

Extremely well put video!
Simply the master!!!!!!
Esto es espectacular ,

Yeah you're right, actually I'm thinking of a part 2 of this video, where i'll put even this other wonderful songs.
Freddie woulda been wicked fast at checking groceries back then too, huh
😂😂
He was average as a pianist
he never knew of your existence and your parents failed you.
