  • Syria is a special country. In the last couple of years, we've only seen news about Syria in the context of war and people fleeing to other countries.
I wanted to know how the situation in the streets of Damascus and Aleppo looks like in 2022 and what else this country has to offer. Hope you enjoy!

When we were kids, our parents used always to tell us that walls have ears and could hear what you say
I didn't actually understand what that means back then but I knew now that they were trying to get us ready to grow in Syria and adapt the life there
Because everything you say there could be understood wrong and it could lead you to dark places and end up with you in prison being tortured until you breath your last
My dad was physic teacher and he was arrested only because they found a SMS on his phone that says "freedome"
We have never heard anything about him since 10 years
    It's too complicated there
I just hope, that people survive all these tragedies

Thank you for sharing this! It's important to remind people of the cruelty of the regime and the horrible (political) circumstances the Syrian people have to live in.
And it's important to differentiate between the people responsible and the people on the street trying to live a happy life.
I wish all the best to you and your loved ones!

Thank god for the Syrian government, they dealt with these "freedom terrorists" like champs. Your dad, probably has done much worse than that. My dad went to a demonstration, but he was never arrested, many people I know are outright opposers to the Syrian government, but they choose to live peacefully and not rebel by the help of the CIA.

Can you explain who the guide is and how you found him?
Was he allocated by Assad’s security forces?
In addition, can you tell how much you paid for the visa and do you feel comfortable paying money to a criminal regime to kill its people?

    • @philipptravels

We booked the tour through RJ Travel LLC. The visa was 67 USD and for the other questions I would refer you to the statements I made last year on Instagram and Twitter :)

@@philipptravels What about the so called 'guide'? Who was he? Who allocated him to you?
Going to a devastated country, paying money to its dictator and making profit on TH-cam out of that may be something you feel proud of!!
Hope looking at people's misery has satisfied your passion!

I did but this tip probably won’t help you much 😅
I’m insured by Axa through my American Express credit card and I’m a member of the German “ADAC”
