I agree. Jordan is a spectacularly unique man who under threat of others still maintains his uniqueness. He does not bend out of "social obligation". Admirable. I just hope he is not demeaned by Conan's humour. Special respect and appreciation to Jordon
Jordan telling Conan he’s the funniest man he’s ever met felt like the most genuine compliment. In that 1 Minute you could really see the mutual respect they have for each other.
You're kidding, right? Conan outright bullied him in this and he was angry. He's respectful because that's his demeanor and behaviour, but he certainly detests Conan here. I don't see any mutual respect in elaborate mockery.
No, you got it perfectly wrong. His logic is perfectly sound and he is extremely detailed and descriptive about everything he says. It's just that he uses it as a substitute for real emotion. You can see how he talks about how things feel to him or what is pleasing to him a whole whole lot. But he always just expresses it in these descriptive terms, he never ever actually shows or expresses the emotions he says he is feeling. You can just tell that he is constantly trying to figure out and analyze what makes him feel something, not realizing that to truly feel something, you actually have to shut out all your analyzing and deconstruction and just try to feel. So again, his logic is perfectly sound, it's his heart that it in SOME (odd) place, wherever exactly that might be.
In that way you could even say, that additionally to providing employment, Conan is even providing therapy to Jordan. Because by now he has actually managed to make him genuinely smile and laugh at times. And you can even tell by the weird contortions he sometimes makes when genuinely laughing that his face doesn't even know how to do that properly. Because he has been stuck in robot mode for who knows how long and basically has to relearn it all over.
Both Conan and Jordan are extremely intelligent people. I love Jordan's wide breadth and depth of knowledge. It's interesting to see how they both exhibit their intelligence in such contrasting ways.
I agree with you, Conan has an incredible ease of speech, i would kill for being as ingenious as him, but he have to give great lines all the time and that must be sometimes exhausting, on the other hand Jordan doesn't intend to be funny, he just act how it comes to him and he has no pressure. I don't get the point of this comment, Jordan never seems to 'mock', at worst he criticises, but never mocks. Conan is the mockery person here. Jordan is right.
At 47:00 Conan succinctly describes the whole dynamics of their relationship and why they keep it up for so many years. I would like to hear him talk about nutrition. It was a shame he never was allowed to elaborate on anything. I think Aaron sided too much with Conan on this one. They say Conan and Jordan are contrast then Aaron should have been more in-between.
Jordan is awesome. He's a rare gem, make the app please -pure raw Jordan & absolutely NO writers/adulteration. With FULL creative control. we don't want a watered down Jordan. let him rip!!!
HOW is Jordan full of so much wisdom! I could listen to him speak all day. Conan provides that necessary comedic relief to counteract Jordan’s intensity, and they have amazing chemistry, but Jordan brings up so many great points, as well as has so much cultural knowledge. Love them both!

Speaking with authority and inflection is not losing your cool. They're used to him saying nothing and when he stands on his square (like someone standing up for themselves), y'all say he lost his cool. No he didn't. Conan is so insecure by Jordan's essence that he hides behind and uses comedy as an means to try to dampen Jordan's light. Conan's behavior and the space from which his words and behavior derives, was cringe worthy. I hope by now, Conan has embarked on his journey, so that he don't have to need validation from outside and resort to belittling another Being just so he can try to feel better about himself. Because clearing it didn't work and Conan, many times, face expression was of a failed attempt to redicule. Jordan did a great job block the BS that was coming his way during this hour.
24:56 - 25:56 = Jordan's entire verbose, poetry waxed exposition summed up in one concise sentence by Conan. "We got out of the car and we took a walk." 🤣🤣🤣
Well Conan went far this time when he called him "$tupid". That's not comedic mockery anymore that's just an insult. I mean everything was great, typical Conan and Jordan skit, ha ha he he, up until that moment. Conan hit billow the belt by getting personal and it made Jordan angry. I'm not here to see Conan literally insult or degrade another man. No matter how many flaws that man has.
When Jordan started talking about manufactured happiness and peaceful/tortured soul (38:30), it hit a spot with Conan. Jordan then talks about his posture and how his body language is empowering him. You see minutes later Conan emulating Jordan's body language, and toward the end they're sitting the same way.
Interesting observation. Jordan is just unapologetically genuine, there's just no facade which is so awesome. Aaron constant nervous laughter on the other hand...
@@dancingbanana627 I guess it's considered friendly banter. Where you can be a bit hard on the other as long as you're not ripping into them. Plus if Jordon has problems with some of the jokes Conan pulls, it probably would've been cut out of respect.
It's an improv character based on a caricature/parody of himself... This is improv comedy.... You do understand that someone like Jordan's portrayed character wouldn't be able to be the producer of a comedy show like this, right?
I was so disappointed watching this. Conan was cruel and went way beyond trying to make Jordan look like a fool. He wound up making himself look foolish and his suck up host didn't look any better. Conan really let me down. Bravo, to Jordan for handling it with grace. I don't know if I would have.
@@melissakern4996 Conan is usually this way, unfortunately people believe he's a good or respectable person which he mostly isn't. This pushover (he isn't, but he gravitated towards it) thing is dumb, it won't help him. In the recent zoom meeting during quarantine, Jordanretaliated savagely against Conan, I'm happy for him.
Jordan struggles with intellect. He wants to be seen the way you are describing him and Conan picked up on this insecurity. Overall it was funny but at some points during this I got the feeling that they went too far and Jordan got genuinely offended. And I really like Jordan I don't like to see him feel bad. Like around 41:00 you can totally feel he's getting mad
It pissed me off too. And I think he's right. They ridicule his every answer even though he has a lot of good thoughts, as if Jordan's stupid and Conan always smart by default because Conan is famous and has "made it" in life. I mean Jordan seems to be at peace, what else do you need?
I align with Jordan's metaphysical booga, but he is unaware of his seething. He gives himself too much credit for being together when we can see the obvious. He has a lot of "needing to win" that he does not acknowledge. Just sharing in on the study that is Jordan. Love it, great dynamic. Love to see the NDA.

Jack ♥♥♥ JORDAN DID NOT BREAK OR ALMOST BREAK ANY CHARACTER, BECAUSE HE HAS A LEGITIMATE PERSONALITY. HE JUST DOES NOT LAUGH AT THINGS WHICH HE DOES NOT FIND FUNNY BUT HE CERTAINLY LAUGHS AT THINGS WHICH HE DOES THINK ARE FUNNY. HE JUST HAPPENS TO BE AN INTROVERT WHICH IS WHY HE HOLDS HIS LAUGHTER IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE. HE IS THE KIND OF PERSON WHO IS WILLING TO INTERACT WITH PEOPLE ONLY IF HE FINDS IT NECESSARY. HE PREFERS TO INTERACT WITH PEOPLE WHO HAS NO INTIMATE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM AS LONG AS THEY ARE WILLING TO LEARN FROM HIM OR AS LONG AS HE CAN ALSO LEARN FROM THEM. THE POINT IS, JORDAN IS PROBABLY A PSYCOPATH WITH HIGH INTELLIGENCE AND MEMORY RETENTION, WITH ATTENTION TO DETAILS, WHO HAS ALREADY MASTERED THE HUMAN EMOTION, EMPATHY AND SOCIETAL CONSTRUCT THROUGH AGE, OBSERVATION AND EXPERIENCE. HE ALSO HAPPENS TO BE AN INTROVERT WHO ALMOST ALWAYS KEEPS THINGS TO HIMSELF WHICH DID NOT OBLIGE OR PUSH HIM INTO MASTERING THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND BODY LANGUAGES NECESSARY FOR HUMAN INTERACTION AND PUBLIC RELATIONSHIP. OTHER PSYCOPATHS ARE SUCCESSFUL IN DOING THIS, THOUGH. JORDAN SHOULD NOT BE WORKING FOR CONAN. INSTEAD, HE SHOULD BE WORKING FOR THE MILITARY, THE POLICE, THE FBI, THE CIA OR AS A COLLEGE PROFESSOR/ASSASSIN. HAHAHA!!!♥♥♥
It's an improv character.... Jfc.... Aaron is laughing at the bit. Jordan is the producer of a comedy show, this is an improv act based on a parody of himself... This is obvious... In the Jordan segments they pick the topics of conversation and improv from there, and keep the best bits. It's not rocket science.
@@lotaryguy12 eh, conan's gone on record stating that thats jordans personality in general, sure he may play it up a little, but i doubt its a character

I think that ppl at Coco don't understand that they're ppl who are actually interested in what Jordan's saying. Dude's gotta start a podcast or something.
I see what you are saying, but Jordan has been doing this for a while with Conan. He seems to be the type of person to walk out of a situation if it bothers him. Maybe that's the thing , Conan is actualy so cauculated, that he will make money from you ewen if you do nothing and spend a lot. That is actualy quite impressive
39:58 Conan's statement hit me like a train. That was the most genuine thing I've seen him do with Jordan, and it's goddamn powerful. Goosebumps. I was smiling the entire time, waiting for a punchline, but Conan just stopped and asked everyone to stop and think. Did not expect this one at all. I love when things like these happen.
That was not deep, Jordan just explained how shallow he was and how he wants to surround himself with shallow, unearned traits even in the form other people. It’s not something that deserves a moment of silence.
I feel read bad for Jordan sometimes. There was one point in which Jordan begins speaking of spirituality and the idea of non-duality, but of course Conan and Aaron need to put him down on his philosophy. I understand that Jordan and Conan have been friends/working together for decades but at some points during this Q&A, they have been straight up bullying Jordan on his ideals. I just think they could’ve been more professional.
I identify with what Jordan was saying, but I think he understands completely that every put down or insult is just for the sake of comedy & not meant to be taken to heart

Although I know this might be a joke... that's never gonna happen because: 1.) Jordan's playing a character. Maybe he is what he portrays, but on a bit of an exaggerated level. 2.) They're probably the best of friends, and their interaction off-camera such as jokes, pranks, etc. might not be as cruel.
1. Jordan needs to do a podcast. Let the man speak, it's interesting. 2. Get this presenter out. The funny chemistery is between Conan and Jordan, not a third giggling guy.
Skyberry Symphony II not really, that Aaron guy bends over to Conan all the time, like a kid who idolizes a teenager. Conan provides that necessary comedic relief to counteract Jordan’s intensity, and they have amazing chemistry, but Jordan brings up so many great points, as well as has so much cultural knowledge. Love them both!
I totally agree. I think it was really disrespectful of Aaron to laugh every time Jordan was speaking though.
All jokes aside, Jordan could be a good mentor...his depth of intellect is admirable.
Jordan is a man who is totally comfortable and at peace with himself. The contrast between these two opposites makes it funny.
Very true. It's similar to the comedic device of the straight man / funny guy.

Well Conan went far this time when he called him "$tupid". That's not comedic mockery anymore that's just an insult.
I mean everything was great, typical Conan and Jordan skit, ha ha he he, up until that moment. Conan hit billow the belt by getting personal and it made Jordan angry.

When Jordan started talking about manufactured happiness and peaceful/tortured soul (38:30), it hit a spot with Conan. Jordan then talks about his posture and how his body language is empowering him. You see minutes later Conan emulating Jordan's body language, and toward the end they're sitting the same way.

Jack ♥♥♥ JORDAN DID NOT BREAK OR ALMOST BREAK ANY CHARACTER, BECAUSE HE HAS A LEGITIMATE PERSONALITY.
