Have had this Techart adapter for my Zf for a few months now, and love it. Only bad result is to my wallet - it's prompted me to buy two M-mount Voigtlander lenses and one Thypoch one. I rarely use any Z-mount primes now and learn more about the incredible manual capabilities of the Zf every day.
Lol I feel the same way, I also see no point in buying the Z mount voigtlander lenses. I do switch to native Z lenses when making videos as they have a more natural transition when autofocusing. I've been loving the Nikon 28mm 2.8 lately which I also used in making this video. In any case both mounts are here to stay in my inventory :) Thank you for watching, have a great day.
Hansel. Thank you for posting this video. I’ve been attempting this same setup on a Z6III and the lens seems to be constantly hunting for focus. I have the lens set to infinity and am using continuous AF. Is there something I am missing? Are you also getting green box focus confirmation? Thanks in advance for any help or insight.
I'm sorry to hear that. When I got my TZM02, it came with a docking station that I can connect to my computer for firmware updates. Here is the website: techartpro.com/?page_id=5988 Have you tried sending them an email? techartpro.com/?page_id=406. When I emailed them a few months ago, they were responsive to me within 72 hours. Just want to reiterate I am in no way affiliated with Techart. I wish the best of luck to you.
Don't expect perfect results its the biggest truth / disclaimer of this video. I knew what I was getting myself into but still expected it to be a bit better for the price - so I hope that this technology advances a bit more or they keep updating the software for it. Any tips on setup or how to get it to work more effectively? Everyone recommends different focus types but 3D focus type seems to be working best for me at the moment. I have this set up on the ZF as well with the 35mm 1.2 - and works generally okay for non-moving subjects or if you are patient as sometimes it gets stuck in a loop of hunting for focus or switching focus back and forth and the only way to reset it or get it out of the loop is usually for me to turn the camera on and off. Another thing I noticed is that the battery life of the ZF decreases a bit when using this versus not using it. All in all though, its a beautiful gadget to play with and makes the ZF look amazing.
Thanks Ron. I agree with you and I'm on the same boat when it focus-hunts. I notice this problem comes up when I am shooting at very low apertures--especially at 1.2, and not so much at f2.8 and above. The only thing I really do is play slightly with the focus ring of my lenses and assist it. This solves my problem although I turn into a bit of a "hybrid-manual focus" shooter.
Thank you all for watching. As always, leave your questions down below and I will answer to the best of my ability. 🎉

I didn’t realize the adapter doesn’t support the z6III. That is probably the issue.

Also might be a weird idea, but try the AF-S setting (as opposed to the AF-F) in your Z6III, in the small chance it could work.

I buy Voigtländer Lenses to avoid autofocus !!! Btw, the best precision adapters are made by Novoflex !
Good for you :) thanks for watching, have a great day
