Collecting Xbox 360 and the hunt for Blades Dashboard

I am on the hunt for a Xbox 360 with a blades dashboard...hoping to find one out in the wild 😅 along the way I am also picking up games to add to my collection. over the past few months I have been car booting, charity shop hunting and searching in CEX for anything that catches my eye. these are the pickups from those hunts.

Well, you definitely have quite the collection dude and in terms of selling...keeping...I'd say keep what means the most to you and sell the rest. I only had my room to move and almost a year later I'm still not all moved out 😂

@@Matropolis I'm still undecided...more than anything selling the stuff will be hard work and time consuming. Yeah, I did shoot the wrestling video but then thought I wanted to do it a different way...so I'm gonna re do it haha

With that boxed Xbox 360 you could always just switch the cases if the serial numbers are on them. It may still have a different serial number on the dashboard but nobody will ever notice.
Oh if you sell up I would keep your favourites. The Dreamcast will not be cheap to buy back and the cases are always smashed up - I wouldn’t let that go unless you want to get a modded Dreamcast with a complete romset. But they do look lovely on the shelf. I think you would regret it. 😊

@@NotMoreGames yeah, I think ultimately I would regret it...as I did last time! I'm still undecided due to the time and effort it would take to sell it all haha. Yeah, not a bad trick with the Xbox case. It would just be something that always frustrated me though haha. I think I'll try fix it first...we will see...if I ever get round to sorting it haha

Selling stuff is a tricky one for sure, but life has to come before games and if selling helps then maybe its for the best
Maybe if you're not nostalgic for somethings that helps, just keep what you're interested in
Like Nick said, Dreamcast is difficult and expensive to reaquire at a later date, and its only going to get harder and more expensive, whatever you sold those for now, it will cost you even more to buy them back if you wanted
There's definitely something in the fact.....the more you get, the less you play🤔

@@retroimportgamer513 yeah I'm still undecided yet. I think the time and effort it takes to sell all this stuff puts me off. And yeah, I think there will always be a market for retro games and they will definitely go up in value from what they are

A bigger, better house is always much nicer than having random stuff you don't even use.
I got a load of free stuff off my brother last month, it included a 360 with the Blades Dashboard 👌

@@DadLadsGaming yeah, it's a weird thing with those 360s cause it's cool, but ultimately inevitably doomed cause of rrod. Then not usable with an online account. But yeah I'm hoping I run into one. Yeah, I think I've made my mind up. I love collecting but when I get too much it becomes less personal and more hoarding mess. I like starting fresh. Briefly pricing I could make quite a bit of cash and would seriously help me with buying a home. Then start again...this stuff isn't going anywhere anyway, right

Keep meaning to play battle for middle earth 2.
Can never have too many spare consoles 😂.

Yeah I think I've made my mind up to sell it all...buy the house and then start collecting again with a fresh start. Probably just a few things that I'll keep hold of

When they shut the store down they should also put out an optional update that gives us the Blades interface back.
Edit: Oh and hey, as far as the phone, they actually sell adapters for nano and micro to regular for practically nothing. You might wanna just get one of those so you have more options going forward (and possibly also make some calls on it with your current line just swapping back and forth)

@@infasis I did try and 3 SIM card but it said invalid SIM card. I wonder if it's locked to an old network provider maybe such as orange one2one or T-Mobile. Will have to do some more investigating. Yeah, Microsoft giving a blades dashboard would be such a good thing if them. It's just pretty much dead though ain't it, if you had one you would be scared to use it cause chances are it's gonna red ring

@@RETRORECLAIMER Yeah, there's no way they'll do it, but it would be an awesome gesture of goodwill. Hopefully, down the road some homebrew hackers can just recreate it authentically or something...
I don't have much experience with them, as I really only ever used one to make my PS Vita work with my T-mobile sim card (which most people seemed to not even know was possible and I discovered by a random user's post on a Vita discussion, rather than article or something), but they make these little Sim unlock cards that you slide over the sim card. Not sure if it would work, but that's something you could look into too. It was years ago, but the one I bought was only a couple bucks on ebay.

Its always a tricky situation when it comes to selling stuff bud, if you got no attachment to it then it is just stuff and can always be bought back in time, im very limited on my space so i only really want stuff il use. A new house will be well worth it bud 😃

@@steve36207 yeah, there are parts that I'm attached to but I quite like the fresh start and picking stuff up from new...but more so, I certainly would prefer to move a little sooner if I can raise funds quicker...I think I'll sell it. Start listing stuff and go from there. Hard work when space is limited isn't it
