Een samen ding = A thing together. Amstel Live (like the beer "Amstel" :) ) is every year a concert with different bands. It's just beeing together with some old and new songs. Just fun :).
But it is a pitty that it became a Maan show I hate that

The last song is by Robbie Williams "Angels". It was a big big big hit all over Europe. In 1998. It probably never reached America. A very nice song
Vrienden van Amstel, The Friends from Amstel (a dutch beer) is a yearly event. Where a brunch of dutch artists come together to sing one anothers songs and golden oldies and offcourse make a big party 😄👍. The line up varies year to year, the event has been going for years now and had created many beautiful awesome moments. The artist say they look forward to vrienden van Amstel, because for the it is all so a big party, where they can hang with collegas, they may not see much the rest of the year.

Both bands also had so much fun its just one big party. I love how in the netherlands all the artists like to work together on projects or like and respect each other like on beste zangers and al kinds of different things get mashed up into unique projects

Love it guys, I really hoped you'd do this one ❤. VvAL really is the best party of the year. Tickets sell out within a couple of minutes, a year in advance without anybody knowing who's actually playing. This year they did 12 nights in a row. The coolest thing is that all the artists play songs of each other and sometimes of other artists, like this one. It's definitely not just rock music, it's folk hip hop, EDM, and it never disappoints! If you want to see another great collab, please check out the 2018 performance of Kensington with Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren with "heading up high"!

Vrienden van Amstel started off in small venues in villages, towns and cities, grew out till this. It is the love of live music that wipes out competition, making music together: een samen ding. As I said before, most musicians start from an early age in garages, music schools etc and are real, they learn how to deliver and then start recording. We will miss the festival season this year, we have tons of them, a lot of them are free or not very expensive so everyone can enjoy. Keep it up guys, if you wanna try something completely different, check out Memphis Maniacs, they are crazy 😜

That last song is Angels, from Robbie Williams. He is an English singer and very popular in Europe. It's always been quite a mystery how it was possible that he never really had a break through in the US.
Funny thing is I keep coming back to this reaction of you both, epic performance from Di-Rect and Kensington and love your reaction..

This was an exclusive performance together at the Vrienden van Amstel Live gathering every year, were lots of artists coming together singing together one of their songs or covers and drinking beer together with the crowd on stage, cos Amstel Beer is the main Sponsor of the concert... So the concert is basically called : Beer Buddies. Which is fitting.
In the Netherlands we can have concerts where bands and artists perform together perfectly amicable. Although we have a good business sense, there is much space for personal enjoyment and development. Money is important but a lot of bands will not kill each other because of competition. Friends of the Amstel is a good example! Wonder what will happen next year after COVID19.??
Right now we (the Dutch) go through a period of extra ordinary musical talents and creativity, not just with respect to the singers but also to musicians, composers and the managers who organise the music scene. We realise this is a special episode in our musical history and enjoy every minute of it !

I recomend Streets (very light feeling, perfect for summer time), Part of me, Island. And some of their older songs, like Ghosts, Call my name, System, Don't walk away etc... Ther's a lot. I hope 4k subs come soon!

Hé guys this is a series of 10 concerts during 10 or more days of our best dutch artists in one of the biggest venues of the netherlands. They do this 10 times in a row. They sing their own songs, songs of eight other or of other famous bands. So sometimes unexpected collaborations pop up. That makes the show so great. It's called de vrienden van amstel live, the friends of amstel live. It's been held every year in february.Main sponsor amstel beer. The tickets are sold out one year prior. Its Just one big spectular show😉

Vrienden van amstellive means friends of amstel (beer) live! It's a 10 day concert that is the candy store for Dutch artist!! You can colaberate whit anyone you like.. This is the new singer of Direct (curlies) and indeed there where 2 bands on stage together!
