Hi, these are 2 Dutch bands performing together on stage. The 2 singers are the 2 lead-singers. The one with the black hat is the lead singer for Kensington and the one with the curly hair is the lead singer for Di-rect. Both are 2 great bands with a huge fan-base in Holland

Watching this makes me feel like I wanna go to concerts again!! I'm yearning for it, I wanna be in the crowd and sing along! When I can go, I will appreciate these things so much more. I'll never take it for granted again.

I cannot say anything about Di-Rect because I didn't listen to them until now. I only heard about this band last year when their former lead-singer, Tim Akkerman, joined Beste Zangers in the edition we all watched because of Floor Jansen. I do know Kensington however and they are awesome live. Was supposed to see them for the 5th time in March but for now it's postponed to October :/ One of my favorite bands. A lot of albums to go through but their last 2 ("Control" and "Time") are masterpieces. Late last year they released the most recent album, "Time" and I did not stop listening to it until now. Great songs.

This was the higlight of the evening! so glad I saw it live, the last concert I went to before covid.

@@okidoki878 meestal staat mijn radio op 100% NL. Maar ook daar hoor je weinig van dit soort muziek. En helemaal geen metal. Nederlandse artiesten worden hier volgens mij slecht bediend.
This performane...this collaboration is what it's all about at Vrienden van Amstel Live!! It's an annual accurrance and almost impossible to get tickets! And these two phenomonal bands...well..I don't think I have to say that they are the 2 most popular rockbands that we have. They are great!!!!
"Vrienden van Amstel Live" means "Friends of Amstel Live". Amstel is a beer brand and main sponsor. It is a series of concerts in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where various Dutch artist cover other songs.

AlexT74 they not only do covers but also their own songs. The format is however that they are encouraged to have other artists guest on their performances. The Amstel gigs are always held in January are sort kicking off the new year after the Christmas. Basically anyone who is hot in Dutch music will be there. I think there are something like 12 or 13 consecutive nights of these all star shows.

Fifa 98 was the shit! On topic: Great dutch bands who brought rock to Vrienden van Amstel Live! I especially love it that the drummers of both bands are killing this at the same time
It really was haha. Honestly this is a unique thing to me, I have never seen 2 bands perform fully at the same time

Dutch Pride 😍💪🏼😎☝🏼the individual music from the Dutch bands are amazing and insane ❤️saw them both live and they will rock the night away with the crowd👌amazing to see and to hear. The band that starts in the clip is Direct, leadsinger Marcel Veenendaal (curly),on gitar/2e singer Frank van zoest aka Spike,on drums (the blond guy )Jamie Westland on bassgitar Bas van Wageningen the second male that starts singing lead is from Kensington,leadsinger Eloi Youssef (long darkbrown hair)and the remaining band Is also Kensington.
This part of the concert is called heldenblok. It means it's time for our hero's.
You probably didn’t saw it, but there were Two drummers. Kensington and Di-Rect had there own band!
You should check 'No Me' from Kensington! Kensington is a rockband, Di-rect used to be a rockband but they're turning more into a rock/soul band nowadays
Kensington and DiRect are true friends. And everybody in the music world in NL want to be there because of the atmosphere. This year one of the bands (I don't remember which one) was not invited to join the club, the other one invited them to perform together. And this is the result. The performance is called "Heldenblok". Held = hero; blok = part. So it is the part of the show where they honor their music heros. So they are the real friends of Amstel.
When it was certain that the 2 bands would perform together, they decided to play songs of their heroes that they grew up with. Have you also seen that there are 2 drummers? I personally thought it was really cool.
I somehow knew that song was in a FIFA game. How the hell did I know that?! I was born in '97 and it was in FIFA 98😂
