Down the years I have spoken a few times with Harry at various greyhound and racecourse. He is a lovely , genuine and helpful chap. Hope he kicks on from here. Good luck Harry.
This guy really helped me become better at gambling. "It doesn't matter, if one guy has 10k on a dog another guy only has 10 pound, they still want that dog to win just as much" He's dead right. I love greyhound racing, have done for years, and was pretty good. What let me down is I fell into the trap of Nap, NB, triple, L15... There's always one to let you down, if not 2... He had an interview about Tote, which put me off backing ew as well, I used do ew on a 4/1 shot,. But when it come 3rd you've just spent extra, would've been better off just chancing it to win.... Now if I fancy a dog 6/1 or over I still do each way but rather than 5ew I'd go 2.50ew.... I even cut it right down to €3 per stake... And I will only back dogs at certain tracks.... Currently only Irish meetings on 365, get the early prices. Ive picked as little as 3 and most 8. That way I will only lose at most 9-21 quid. In last 3 weeks I've only had one night where I didn't pick a winner, best night 5/8... Early prices means I'm getting a 5/4 chance at 3/1 sometimes... Honestly never enjoyed gambling as much as I am now, little risk but paid the mobilephone bills for month, and a takeaway the next week.... Bet 365 account started with €25, hit 100, hit 80 twice, hasn't hit below 35 in 3 weeks.... Only low as I back all dogs once prices are out.... Hit a couple of drifters aswell.... And it's all because of what this man has said. Cheers Harry!
The book is fantastic. I love gambling. Not very good at it but it is not my livelihood. Cheltenham is my favourite time of the year in the betting calendar. Take that week off work, every year. Been backing horses since I was a kid, my Dad got me into horses at an early age. I miss Powderhall Greyhounds, maybe Harry could have saved that stadium instead of Coventry, might have been less expensive. The Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway team had to relocate to Armadale when the Stadium closed, big loss to the city. I could listen to Harry telling his stories all day. What a life he has lead. Wish him and his family all the best.
Why haven't I seen this interview before? This is great! Everything he was saying rang home with me. I wish I could get my head around other types of betting but I'm only good at horses.
Passion fuels ideas and new angles....often novel....and to take the consequences with a shrug of the shoulder win or lose means 'arry won't die wondering...and he is right sport is great and we all learn bits here and there...everything is a catalyst to roll the dice in some direction or other regardless of the odds....and glean reward or knowledge as a result. Weighed in.... :-)
He had a amazing high on new zealand £2.5 million bet even though they lost Was a great buzz as even the losing us gamblers get such a high off losing as well as bets so when he lost £2.5 million he must of been flying high like herion in your vein
Phil Mickelson to win US OPEN at 55/1 B365 8 places. Bet of the century. Phil was T4 here in 2010 & has won AT & T and been placed several times. Not to mention the fact he's never won the US OPEN so won't lack motivation.
"I've gotta get the train to Liverpool. I know it's gonna be peein' down with rain all day"? Was that because he'd seen the weather forecast, or does he think that's what it's always like at the end of April on Merseyside?
Bayern Munich is an average team, sorry harry, Munich never put out an average team unless they have won their section, after they win their section the tea lady and a load of youngsters get a game, they do not take chances with players when there are other more important games to come, in saying all that, harry is brilliant to listen to
Law in betting horses leave handicap claimers sellers and races dont back ew in races early as a lot off horses are owned by book making companies under other people names and get pulled late on so you only get less places races and jeep and eye on racing in germany and france as top trainers send realy good horses over for weak listed or weak group races and top jockeys go to ride them so look at meeting in Europe and look for jockey with just one ride from their base like james doyle going to Hamilton to ride on horse ok short price but it wins dont sit in the shop back all races bet one horse big and out the shop
Went dog racing in Scotland shawfield chiketa banana and me Harry went to Ashfield flapping track had dog on Wednesday night was machine 700 yards he had 6k to win 2k on 1/3 SHOT He layed me evs his dog to win 730 shawfield was 1/2 shot gentlemen
In the same way that the overwhelming majority of FEmale conversations are just trivial and full of gossip, chit-chat and repeating the same comment over and over to just continue their favourite topic which is talking about themselves...zzzz
@@TheSuperlime contacts in the game, lending thousands to back odds on, I read had 180k grand and place 165k on 4/9 shot. That’s horrendous betting that , he’d be better off backing a both team to score bet on Dutch at 4/9 and get a nice 4-2. Yeah he’s made millions, but should make more will 1 million bank roll, the all blacks bet was dumb, he could have played 500k on France at ht at 9/2 and made a healthy mil. But was left with a hard luck story. I’m a big fan off him, just boring when rich guys back odds on and sell it as, I made millions.
Rest in Peace Denman.Harry Findlay a great bloke who says it as it is.

Respect. There is a bit of Harry in all us gamblers. He is just better than most of us. I started off the same as him at Bolton dogs. Fantastic ring.

Love u Harry but your wrong on the "ghost goal" that goal by Garcia against Chelsea in 2005 was not 100 percent over the line
Harry is my cousin
He's my auntie 👍💯

I am sure Harry Findlay is a lovely person. But question....do gamblers actually realize how BORING gambling is to non gamblers???

calls himself a pro, could have played 200k on france at 14/1 and pulled 3 mill
If we had hindsight we'd all be millionaires, your basically saying he should of backed all teams
liverpool lost v real madrid 😁 just saying
He would of hedged trust me
If you give me 20 million I’d win more than him
Well why don’t you win 20 million?
@@TheSuperlime he’s got 20 mill go start, just backs 1/6 shots with 60k on and wins 10k misleading, big nevermind he sells a book
@@sheikhando4815 Yeah I get that but it’s not like that money was just handed to him. He earnt a bankroll of that size
