I'd love to see edgy and classic styles for black women and curvy women. I rarely find black women represented in these styles and when I do it is usually very thin women.
You are right, I try my best to include as many body types as possible, representation is very important.
Thin women like me cling to boho because there are many baggy clothes and dresses to hide my skinny arms and legs.

I am white as it can be, but I can relate to the body type. Besides colors, I think styles fit absolutely everyone. Anyone can have any type of style, but not everyone should wear certain pieces without considering body type. I am a pear shape, and I can not, or should I try to pull off everything out there.
I’m a mix between boho, feminine and cottage core. I love and only wear dresses. I love caftans. I wear headwraps and silk scarves. I love neutral and warm tones. I think ppl view boho as tacky and cheap but that’s false and stereotypical. Boho chic is my favorite style because I prefer quality fabrics such as organic cotton, linens, silk. I try to purchase 100% clothing which is rather expensive. And you can be a minimalist lol I definitely am. I think this is catering towards younger ppl because mature women who are into boho chic really have a elevated style that makes them look whimsical

I already own and make most of these items. I don't try to look boho every time I dress but that's what I gravitate to the most. That and African styles (my mom always buys me ensembles) and rock'n roll styles compete my look. I've never owned cowboy boots in my life.

Romantic, feminine, chic and glam are my favourite styles. Boho and retro are my least favourite.

I didn't realise how much I'm drawn to Boho styles, but so much of the inspiration is focused on slim bodies. In this video there was only one photo of a fuller figured lady! I'd love to see more body shapes represented in this style

Ohhh my favorite style ever! Specially during summers in Spain (my country) my must have: the long silk boho dresses. Similar to the yellow one in minute 2:40. I have like 40 of those!!!! All colors, all models!!! I enjoy them so much during our 3 or 4 months of summer. 😍😍😍

there's nothing effortless about black hairstyles like braids. mine usually take 4 hours! that's pretty high maintenance to me lol
Absolutely, I just got box braids and it took 13 hours
BUT they are really easy to maintain after that, and they last very long
It takes a while to put in but once they're in you don't have to do much maintenance for a month or two...that's very effortless to me.
When I had really long hair (super curly) I got my hair braided. It took forever and cost a fortune. They looked great BUT, I couldn't stand not being able to wash my hair daily - so I took them out the next day 😞

Correction: I’m somewhat of edgy, boho but also a minimalist. I like a flow bottom and barely anything up top. 😊 I hate wearing a bra but will wear a bralette as a top. 🤷🏾♀️

You could find a few examples if you look into the Afro-punk movement.
Interestingly, most of them don’t dress in punk attire at all and boho is more prevalent

I think its important to note where this style stems from. Boho and hippie styles take direct inspiration from Romani culture. While anyone can wear these styles it still important to understand and respect where their originally from, especially when it comes from a highly criminalized and racialized community
Huh, normally when I think of Boho I think of black women. So I am bit confused why there has to be Black women boho?
I mean, if you type boho outfit it’s not until the second page in which you are going to find a black woman.
It’s not that it’s different, it’s just style inspiration of people that look like us
@@cocoastyling oh, I understand. The preference for white women in all aesthetic. But I just wish we didn't have to put the black prefix in everything we do😭😭😭😭 makes it feel like some things that are original to black people are not even ours but rather we are creating a version of the original but for now we keep doing what is effective that is using the black prefix.

Lovely style. I think as a white woman I can also wear these styles. It is all about what one loves and just wearing it anyway if you feel good in it. Not everyone can be curvy and look sexy looking but thin girls can also look better in bright colours and loose clothes
