Johnson also has to win his re-election as Speaker in order to even try this. There are enough Republicans against Trump that you might even see a Democratic Speaker in a Republican-majority House. That would be particularly amusing and historic.
This is when the anti-MAGA portions of the Republican Party could shift the balance in an attempt to retake their own party from MAGA and restore their party to what it was before MAGA. It is definitely going to be interesting during that first week in January.
