- quick tricks to learn welding better and easier
This is a square tube welding technique, especially how to weld thin square tubes, or how to weld thin iron using a combination of 75 amperes and 2.5 mm rods and also the correct thin iron welding technique can produce good welding.
Hopefully useful and don't forget to subscribe!!

Gotta love the difference between 30 volts and 80 volts when welding
Bro. It’s Amps not volt
@@hassanfaisal531 ummm, no, it's both; higher current is used to get a larger weld on thick plate, but more voltage results in deeper penetration. Too high of either voltage OR current will blow through thin plate. Look it up.
That and putting the ground clamp on your work after the rod mod!
I love having mine digital and in from 30 up to 210 and anywhere between all 1 amp increments
No absolutely 100% wrong
I have no idea what this video is trying to show. Another useless click bait video
Well.i found it fekking useful...I'm tired of welding long stick and loosing my patients.. like iam with ignorance like yours.. just move on to your tic tok fanny dancers. In future
short rods are easier to work with but have to be changed more frequently. with center clamping, you just turn it over
Sure, I agree that a shorter rod (electrode) is easier to work with, but you're wasting about an inch of electrode when there's no reason to. I hold the stinger with my right hand and if needed, I'll put my left hand halfway down the electrode to keep it steady. I usually don't have to do that, but sometimes in tight spaces, I do. Doesn't matter how you do it, as long as you're happy with the finished results. I was just frustrated after watching a "quick trick" video that in my opinion is not quick nor a trick.
@@bayareafishing6367 id honestly rather do it the normal way but my hands are too shakey
@@bayareafishing6367 I think it completely blew over your head that “quick” is used in his caption as a “quick tip” type of way and it was probably uploaded to help ppl get a better technique when welding 😂
Or you could buy shorter rods, you wouldn’t get away with this in a fabrication workshop, they would kick your arse out and tell you to learn how to weld…
Or...ya know, get your settings right and stop doing crappy tack welds and use any stick you want lol
My thoughts also.
Over the long run, your employer isn’t going to like all that waste you’ve created when you could’ve just momentarily used your other hand to steady the stinger 😂
3/32 get hot fast but I doubt you know anything about that.
@@calebc6028 since reading is hard, I’ll reiterate “momentarily” and I usually weld with leather gloves, this helps too. Once you finish up trade school and stop getting your welding rod stuck, you’ll notice your 3/32nds rod won’t get that hot until you’re nearly to the end. It’s ok, I remember my time in the shop under the welding hood.
I wish I had the confidence to make videos of things I know absolutely nothing about
At first I was like okay this might be useful then just nope💀
Correction:
Quick tips and tricks to be the laughing stock of TH-cam shorts. Flip the shop breaker yeer done.
Yeeeeeerrrrrrrr duuuuunnnnnnnn
Y’all a buncha wanna be welders just like this guy. Don’t flatter yourself, this is actually a common technique used in situations where you need more clearnece from what ever is under pipe or what you are welding. I commonly use this technique on 5g and 6g. Gloves are 20 bucks a pop so yeah keep grabbing the rod and burn your fingers up to the point when you are 80 you can’t feel shit cause your hands are callused from the heat
Maybe have the right size rod for your material and put the machine on the right settings. Those help a lot
wow,,,ganon po pala sereto ng nanginginig mag weld😮😊
"Our factory has specialized gloves specifically designed for this welding technology. Would you like to place an order?"
Thank you for this, I learned absolutely nothing.
Yeah cause you are a shop welder and don’t have any real use for this technique. Chump
It’s definitely not the rod that’s keeping you from sparking off
I just grab the electrode further down no need to move the whole handle just leave that at the top and put your hand in the middle
Or just cut it in half leaving the end alone
Y’all are so fucking quick to judge shit without even realizing this is a technique used in tight spots. But I’m sure everything you weld is in a stand or table
I have a good idea this video is great and I’m going to use this information when welding my truck bed
looks good from my house
This is worse than the first timers in welding class in high school
this reminds me of when my dad used to weld 3 ft dia well casings from inside in 1953; with the pipe laid horizontally, he would crawl into it with special rods that were double length with bare spot in center. he could burn 24" of rod in one electrode change, convenient in cramped space.
Waw....
Thank you very much.....🙏❤️
Finally someone who knows something about welding
No! what you should do to be better at striking your arc is to strike it on the corner of the plate instead of the face itself that way by the time you reach the face youll already be welding
Лучше держать большим пальцем левой рукой и сохранить электрод
That's as useful as a double-ended screwdriver
That’s cause you are a shop welder getting paid 15 bucks an hour. Us field welders have a use for this in tight spots. Somewhere I bet you haven’t been for a while
Thank you
So instead of just setting the amperage right your big tip is to waste time cutting the end of the rod and then knock some flix out of the middle before setting the amperage right.
Also I'm going to let you know something! You ain't a thin metal welder if you don't know how to Tig!! I use to weld coke cans buddy! Try welding 28gauge stainless in a f**Ked up position with water and other nasty elements all into play! 😉 Year's Out in the field will learn ya something boy!
Tell ‘em it sucks. 😆 I don’t do tig anymore. But I patch the worst paper thin sea vessels that should be scrapped. Chase a hole.
Everything in the video was made by someone who makes fences
So simple 😅
If you clamp the rod as deeply as possible into the throat of the handle it pinches tighter on the rod for best electrical connection. Also examine the pinch on your ground clamp and replace or improve it so there is no question.
💯 move the ground connection as close as possible and insure a tight clamp
At how many amp would you recommend to start with?
🤝😊🤙гениально! респект.
Where do you get 6013? Home depot?
Harbor freight
The people who do these videos should actually learn to weld before doing how to weld videos
You’re not a welder you’re just somebody with a welding machine that has no idea how to use it
Appreciate this..unlike the know it also commentors.
Guys never do this. If the metal is too thin to stick use tif or mig
Use 2mm rod and set to 50amp..if the metal. Is too thin
Bro cant strike an arc😂
please how do I identify the welding machine by their phase?
Out of all rods you chose to use the one that strikes the easiest? (At least for me)
I don't know what I just watched.
Aap kitne amps ka welding machine h Or kis company ka h
my welding was legendary .I was the worst welder in the history of the college!if it didn't keep sticking or stalling,it kept burning through it!
That's exactly how not to weld with a stick welder
Classic Indian tiktoker
Or just don’t forget your morning triple whisky shot
Bad welds
Hi,
I would like to get my existing Incline/Decline bench welding done with some minor adjustments..
So can you guide me, which type of welding is heavy duty..
In Google it shows TIG welding
Wtf man
Just up your amps lol
Just gonna tell the viewers now to NEVER TRY THIS ON THE FIELD! You will get fired. Though I never did this myself, I have seen many students in vocational schools try this and get yelled at.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌
Man, I was taught to never plug welds, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Plug welds are not this
👍👍
The rod is not the problem 😂
The trick is making you think there is a trick.
At that point break all the slag off bend the rod every which way and randomly swing it
[6011]👍
Learn how to weld
As someone who's been welding for only 3 weeks,I can tell you this is not right,I showed my teacher and he said to never do that, just get used to the long stick and to STRIKE and not to stick
WHY DON'T YOU JUST TURN THE MACHINE UP 👍👍
Now do some uphill 7028 3/8ths
That's not Learning how to Weld
How about you turn up the current?
Very thin metal. That is very interesting trick my friend. Love the videos.
China tryin to teach the kids wrong lol
Gonna have to call the short bus to come get his ass off the jobsite.
Holy slag inclusions batman!
That was a goddamn TIG torch in the actual welding part
negative
What?
just use more amperage 😒
Franchement ça Suffit !!!!🙅 ARÊTE Vraiment de faire HONTE à la Profession 😱 Fait MAÇON BORDEL
If you’re a beginner.. please don’t do anything weird like this. Do it normally and learn normally.. cuz this is something my teacher wouldn’t allow us to do
Well it's hard to weld straight if your rod is long
size matters!
Or just weld like a normal person?
or be creative and think outside the box /s
I’m a Self taught stick welder. Never been to school ever. This is some bs fr
Learn how to Weld stop wasting welding rods most places would fire you for that
Welder here. This is clickbait and horrendous at the very least.
I’m a welder and to prevent from sticking just turn you volts up and don’t Texas tig weld that crap don’t work.
Anyone new to welding, if you learn anything from this series of videos THIS IS NOT HOW YOU STICK ROD WELD. EVERYTHING SHOWN IS A JOKE.
Unqualified welding rod filling
godjoob
What trick? I don't see any trick.
G bermanfaat
Jajaja jajaja jajaja!!!
Проще второй рукой кончик электрода придержать.
everyone and mother is in welding school now so the Earths welding shortage might go from "a shortage" to an "over saturated" Always a day late and dollar short. By the time we hear about it it's usually too late!
Какая разница что так, что так. В чём смысл?
just hold the damn stick with ur other hand until it gets too hot then let go, doesnt have to be made that hard🙄
Dont take tips from this guy
What the hell did I just watch
kira mendetail..
use a 5mm 6010 at 220 amps
will solve any lack of penetration
3/16 of an inch rod for square tubing, I’ll remember that next time
No shame into guiding it with your finger for a start up too so you dont have to do all that. Also it might be too cold
Now use a 7018 and tell me. 🤣😂

One way to waste a welding rod
Idk what you are trying to show anyone??? Why are you always spot welding?? Learn how to set your amperage and electrodes for specific metals and angles!
Just what in the hell is he doing ???
This makes my brain hurt and I think I got dumber watching it
О чём суть?
Wtf is this.. good way to complete a circuit when you need to scratch
O bicho treme mais que uma F1000 no ponto morto...
after seeing this video, it shows that the closer the power source is to the welding point, it will cause the welding point to not stick, is that right?
No try using a better welder setting it to a higher amperage that wouldn't be a problem
No the reason it stuck before shortening it was because they didn’t have the proper settings on the welder.
The distance from the handle to the end of the electrode has no effect on a rod sticking.
The power source is the welding machine not the handle.
He just did that to have better control of the rod. Thinner rods (1/16 or 3/32) are much harder to control bc they move around so much with the slightest shake. Think of holding a pencil at the top while trying to write neatly
Like some others commented on here, just grab the rod closer to the tip with your gloved, free hand, to steady it until you establish an arc.
