You still have to use your vocal chords and throat to control the vibration(pitch). The more loose and relaxed your throat is, the deeper the tone, the more you tense up, the higher the pitch. Practice!
Why would you reroll the magnet over 1. a shot speed upgrade and 2. boss rush/dwd prospects? The magnet is pretty good in the late game because you don't have to go out of your way to collect consumables.

NL, if you wanna be sure that you are using your diaphragm, Take a deep breath and make sure your breath is filling up your tummy. If your chest rises at all you are doing it wrong, if your tummy swells then you've done it right and you can begin to sing! You'll know if your sounding nasally if you feel some of the breath exiting through your nose :p
singing from the diaphragm is not a thing. my choir teacher hated when people said that cause its not a thing that you should do cause the diaphragm has nothing to do with singing. you just need to support your voice with air. it takes awhile to learn good breathing for singing
