I had to pre-order this after watching the video. This is exactly what I wanted, another game in that Mountain Goats mold that fits perfectly. I wasn't a fan of Sequoia or GPS, but this one is definitely easy to teach and should be fun to explore.
This is the one in the new Allplay set that I wasn't sure about, but I actually really like it. I'm playing it as a solo puzzle, and I think it works well - 10-15 minutes, boom, you're done.
This one does look good - I can see Zee's point about visually forgetting something. I have Point Salad and bring it out pretty often. I don't know if I need this one too?
I think chomp is the dinosaur version of nimalia. I enjoyed nimalia. But I didn’t see the need to get both games. So I went with animals over dinosaurs.
As someone who takes an unreasonably long time to internalize weird scoring, I don't think that's the case. I think it only gets complicated if you have LOTS of goal cards.
It feels like a combo between Point Salad and Sprawlopolis. Really cool game!

All play is on fire! I am so glad I backed their Kickstarter.

Nimalia mentioned in the comments, they mention Point Salad, and I immediately thought the game was like Sprawlopolis! 😂😂😂
Also there's a small expansion that includes more dinosaurs (Flyers and Scavengers) & another who upgrade tokens to wooden tokens !
I love how you said 'Ha... Agricola next.' Like that is the epitome of the next level of gaming beyond gateway games. 😄
Scoring reminds me a lot of Rainforest City, a great game by Daryl Chow and Origame in Singapore

It reminds me a lot of kingdomino and Queendomino!!!
I wonder if you could combine two copies of this together to play more than 4.
It seems like point salad mixed with king domino.
Thanks for the review. Looks interesting.
Like Nimalia but more complicated and not in a good way I don’t think.
Point salad is underrated. Gotta try this one!

What would the recommended player count be?
I felt it had a Cascadia vibe. Have yet to play Point Salad though.
it kind feels like KingDomino to me.
Seems like scoring is more involved than playjng. Bleh
