I’m just getting back into sea fishing at 72 years of age having spent so much of my time over the decades game fishing. I find your videos excellent for building up my confidence to sea fish once again. Clearly they take you a lot of time to complete but like so many subscribers, I’m sure, I really appreciate them. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to plan your trips and for sharing your methods, tackle tips and locations. You are one very altruistic angler. Mick Mick
Hello William. I think that's the kindest thing anyone has ever said to me, and I mean that sincerely. I am so glad you have taken up this discipline of this wonderful sport. I love making the videos, and as long as I am able, I will continue to do so. All the very best and tight lines to you 🙂
Great content Darren. Not only do your vids give plenty of hints and tips, the people who comment also give a few ideas about where to try. Really good stuff, please keep them coming they’re really appreciated
Bonnie with the reflections in the water, looks a great place to fish and next tae yer car, quality video my friend looking forward tae the next one 👍 Tight lines 🎣🐟🐟🐟
Class mate. Getting back into seafishing and all fishing again this year. Caught turbot up up Druridge bay about 10 year ago. Boiling hot day and crystal clear water barley any chop on the sea and they were there in good numbers. Im a rock hopper, l9ve going light and to the places that dont get fished. Wrasse and pollack my go to up northumbeland and just over into eyemouth. Going for 5lb plus wrasse this year.
Cheers Greg. Turbot is definitely on my shopping list mate. I, too, enjoy the old Rockhopping, although, not alone anymore. I hope you get that wrasse my chum 👍
@northeastangling good luck pal. I live for the rock hopping, light gear and off I go. Going to take my son to blaydon I think. Once it's fishing nice and weather warms up and get him right into it. Looks ideal.
Brilliant video mate love watching these as early 70s I fished at North sheilds and the ferry. landing Sadly I live in South Yorkshire and continue to fish
Thank you so much. Yes! North shields ferry landing was a good mark even in the mid eighties at night. We used to sneak on there when the ferry went off. Good Times. Happy Easter my chum. 😊👍
Hi Darren First congratulations on getting to 2k mate brilliant achievement and fully deserved. What a fantastic video again mate just love watching your videos down to earth and no nonsense. Jurys out on the singing mate I thought Robson green was with you 😂😂😂. Take care and tight lines 👍
Hi Bud, I hope your well. 😊 Thank you so much I appreciate that. As a content maker yourself I know you understand the effort. I may plan a trip down your way soon. Would be great to catch you for some pointers on the marks 🙏. I promise I won't sing . Happy Easter my Holderness Chum.
@northeastangling lol 😆 Darren I will join you in song that way you will sound ace 😄 👍. Your more than welcome anytime mate give us a shout and it would be a pleasure to join you on the beach.
It's just off the A694, your looking for Derwenthaugh Rd. Check Google maps👍. Take care if you are fishing high water , the river is in flood and the tides are still quite big. Possibility of the river flooding the road at top tide.
@@northeastangling okay thanks very much!weve found it not and we haven’t got very good luck we haven’t caught anything yet so I think we’re just gonna go home!
Thanks Steven. I have a kind of love/hate relationship with circle hooks. I am quite set in my ways when it comes to hook patterns and presentation. However, let's get a video done at some point. Circle versus J hook 👍. Thank you for watching and commenting ,my fishy Chum.
@@northeastangling enjoyed the video ,,,I was the same at first and I still use Aberdeenshire but I tried size 1 circles on the humber near an inlet and they were a success, the humber though is a bit more choppy and brown and they go for the bait a bit more aggressively, cheers

My go to spot just the right on the grass ledge, had some great sessions so far on it, you can see my house across the river on the hill 🙂
Hi Liam, easy fishing, love it. Especially on an evening like that. You are very fortunate to live so close 👍

Hi there, thanks for watching. I would imagine there are a lot around there.
Shggestion,,,small circle hooks if youve not tried them, they do hook themselves and easy to unhook the fish,😊

Hi, they are 11ft , rated up to 4oz. Handle 4oz and two baits no problem at all. 👍
