I now watch many of the sea angling You Tube channels focused on the north east. It helps me build up my knowledge and confidence again as I prepare to get back into sea fishing. It’s partly a nostalgia thing too as I’m from the north east. I enjoy them all. But even when the fish don’t oblige Darren, as on this occasion, (and on many occasions they most certainly do) I still find these videos the most engaging. I think that this has a lot to do with the unpretentious, welcoming, relaxed and friendly manner of their creator. Thanks again. Now, currently visiting our grandchildren, I’m about to watch some Sparta stuff which I also enjoy. Mick
It is just nice that people find the content entertaining Mick. What you see is what you get on my video's. Just me, enjoying my hobby with all that wish to watch 😁. Enjoy your time with your grandchildren.

Thank you my chum ❤️. Yes sadly , the river is not what it once was. We actually also used to get Coalfish well over 2 pounds there too! I have not seen a coalfish that far up the tyne in over 30 years. Tight lines my friend.
Thank you for watching. Much appreciated. Yes , swearing excessively isn't really necessary. Although if I lose a fish, the off camera air can turn blue!!. Tightlines
Hi mate, I’ve recently subscribed to your Chanel and I’m really enjoying your videos, especially the ones when you are fishing on the river Tyne, I’m trying to get back into fishing after many years away, I have disabilities and would need to be near the car, can I ask you if you know if mackerel come very far up the Tyne in the summer months? And if so where is the best place to try to catch them? Kind regards, Paul.
Hi Paul, welcome to my humble little channel. With car access, I would recommend North Shields Fish Quay. You can pick up mackerel there usually in the height. of the season, July/August. You can catch them up to Smiths Dock area but the access is poor. Float fishing is a good tactic off the fish Quay couple of hours either side of high water. Mackerel strip or Bluey does well.
@@northeastangling Thanks very much for the quick reply, I’ll definitely try the fish quay, I used to love catching mackerel when I was a youngster many years ago from Blyth pier, keep the brilliant videos coming, you’re doing a great job!

One last question mate, where do you buy your fresh worms and frozen bait from?
Flower pots
Not a fan of the Belmont Bank to dark
Thanks for watching Richard. Yeah you have to your wits about you.
