Why haven't I found this sooner? No, this channel sooner. I would've subscribed and been set on my theory for most openings because of my understanding, allowing me to not just memorise moves.
masterclass openings on white and black both queens gambit kings gambit bird opening kings indian scandivanian sicilian pleaseee cause you present very well!
This video is useful for all sicilian players, not just the najdorf! the sicilian is one of the best openings for improving your overall quality as a chess player. unfortunately so many people continue to play anti-sicilians, but they also lead to good games.
This video is just simply amazing. All the questions I get during the games because of the lack of experience are answered. Now I don't have to come up with thinks like how to deal with f4. Thanks!
First of all, compliments for the thoroughness despite the complexity of this theory. I've reached listening to tip number 2. If I understood correctly, with 6. Bc4 or 6. Bg5, it's preferable to play 6. ... e6, in the other cases, 6. ... e5. Is that correct? In which book did you read or study this analysis?
That is correct. I cannot recall reading this from any one particular source - but it is pretty established theory that ...e5 is not good after 6.Bg5 and 6.Bc4.
sucks that the algorithm doesn't reward videos like this. amazing video
This is some of the most helpful Chess content i’ve seen on TH-cam
Thanks David, it makes me really happy to hear that :)
This is such a gem of a video for someone starting with the Najdorf. Absolutely glad to come across this channel, great content.
Appreciate the praise, and I'm glad to hear its been of good use!
Appreciate this video as someone who’s learning the Najdorf, I would also appreciate if you make a masterclass on the Ruy Lopez or Grünfeld!
Those are definitely in the pipeline.

Of all the Najdorf lectures, this is one of them.

Thank you, it makes me happy to hear that!
This is a very nice summary of key ideas in the Najdorf variation of the Sicilian Defence. Sam's videos are excellent!
Do more of these masterclasses, maybe tromp or Queens gambit 👀
I've just started learning it. Helpful video thanks
Commenting to boost the algorithm 🤘🏼
Great knowledge, condensed into a manageable form, especially useful for the no-time for anything world we now live in!
Great video!
Thanks Milos.

Thanks for this video Sam, great analysis as usual. Will you be doing a similar one for Sicilian Taimanov / Kan also :) ? Thanks
Perhaps in the future, not sure when though.
34:27 did he just hang the queen?
38:26 b5 instead of h6 is recommended by Giri
Très bon. Je te découvre. Je vais te suivre. Excellente vidéo!
I barely passed high school French, but I appreciate the comment mate.
He said "Very good. I discover you. I am going to follow (or subscribe to) you. Excellent video"
Is putting the bishop on g7 decent in some positional lines? I’ve done it a few times and it seems like a decent plan.
1:33 isnt Nf5 better here, to try and reroute to d5 through e3?
Is the Najdorf part of your typical repertoire or have you simply learned many things about various openings as time went on?
I don't really play the Najdorf anymore, but I've had a couple phases where I played it when I was younger.
@@SamAsakaChess What do you play now though?

You turned me into a god…
Definitely instructive video. But your presentation is very fast, maybe next time a more relaxed explanation.😵💫
