GP took good care of me and my husband during a very hard time . I can't say enough good things about them. Best decision he ever made going to work for them.
Is everything always about the few that did well, wouldn't you have concern that others are getting crappy miles while some are getting the best miles, where is your reasoning or are you just selfish
Next month will mark my 1 year here. That being said I've had a similar experience that you have so far with GP but over all I'm happy here. I will agree that the health insurance is high but good coverage.
I lasted 2 weeks with them. It made me realize I didn’t want to do OTR any more. Not a bad company, great facilities, decent equipment, people were nice, just a bit of a strange vibe, and too much sitting.
Yes sir, OTR isn't for everyone. As for sitting....meh. That does happen sometimes, especially right now with a lot of places short on help and or crappy freight. Getting me home this time was challenging I'll tell ya that.
GP has gone down the hills on last couple of years. I notice that we are hiring rookie drivers I see the trucks and trailers all tour up. Last 3 weeks I picked up trailers that were put out of service drivers dropped off don't give a s*** company don't give a s***. They used to call me every year on my review and they don't do that no more. I have asked them over and over on my review and they refused to give me one. Can't give me home no more. When they do they say you're in loud 34 hours off at home that's a bunch of BS. My pay is gone way down I get one week a month with good pay after that I get s***. Gone through 8 dispatches. Start not to workout for me now. I never signed a contract for 3 weeks on a row with this company.
They are supposed to review you every six months, not once a year. And what contract are you talking about 3 weeks? I don't understand what you mean. As for the rest, I suggest you take your problems up the chain. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. My experience has not been anything like what your describing. I will say, I typically run 4-6 weeks then take a week off. Perhaps that's the deciding difference.
@@thisotrlife7400 When I started here a couple years ago we signed contracts where we wanted to drive and where we don't want to drive and how long we wanted to be out. We make up the contract company signs it I sign it we agree. My contract States supposed to be every week if not 2 weeks only that's it.
I started here two years ago. Yeah we talked about where I'd run and for how long but there was never any contract. This was mainly between myself and my driver manager.
If you are running 3000+ miles everyweek thats good, But i do need to correct you. Showing the total miles on your dash board Does not mean that, That you were paid for those miles. your dash is showing Actual miles driven total. Gp Does not pay Actual miles. The only way to prove what you're saying. You will need to show the black & white for the miles dispatched to you per week. If GP is the miles on your Dashboard I need to come work there. GP PAYS YOU WHAT IS CALLED AIR MILES. HOUSE HOLD MOVERS MILES. You loose about 20 to 30 miles per 100 miles. driven
Great honest review, I’ve been with GP for almost 2 years. Had the same experience with fleet managers. I almost thought you were telling my story word for word. We may have had the same not so good one? I went through the proper channels and issue was resolved quickly. This is overall a great company that I feel honestly cares for their drivers and appreciates them. They leave you alone and allow you to do your job which is the best thing about them I feel. Like you said though communication is KEY. Without it you have nothing. Maybe I’ll see you at HQ sometime. Take care and be safe out here. Trk 222042

That's awesome! Glad to hear this!

I enjoyed watching your video
Great review! Thank you for putting it together.
We were sure to share this with Rocky, by the way :)
Of course. I touched base with him BEFORE talking about him in my video so he was already in the know. Tks for sharing it though.
It's all about your professional life and how you handle your business. Stay safe driver

Tks guys.
In the last couple of days I've seen 2 videos, 2 different drivers complaining about short mile loads, and sitting in docks too much for free?
is It nation wide ? east west region ?
Does GP Transco have Reefer?
No sir, it's dry van only.

Why do I feel like we've all been cycled through the same guy?
Tell everyone how much you are making each week without the other BS.
