@@robbieoneil5945 Exactly! That poor woman didn't only have her newborn baby killed in what we can only imagine was an awful death... But she was jailed, away from her husband and other children. Her marriage didn't survive and I'm sure there's still people who think she did it. I saw her interviewed on SBS a few years back by painter/comedian Anh Do whilst he painted her portrait. She seemed happy and appeared to be a lovely person. I think I'd be so bitter and twisted if I went through what she did.

I have family who worked that case, and can tell you that there is a lot the media never told about this case. A lot of the negative media surrounding Lees wasn't unwarranted, especially knowing the lies and conflicting stories she told while underoath, in the early investigation, and to the media.
Chamberlain's treatment was not fair at all, unfortunately at the time her daughter was killed idiot tourists were horrendous with feeding dingoes around the area - this poor baby being taken would've happened sooner or later. Plus it's not an isolated incident, there have been many cases of dingoes trying to take toddlers and babies. At one school camp in Alice Springs we even had dingoes sniffing around the tents in the middle of the night.

There's also over 80,000 abandoned mine shafts in Australia. A lot in the area where he went missing, he would've known about a lot of them so I always thought that could be a possibility too. I agree that it well could've been dingoes, but I think some bones/skull would've turned up in the extensive searches for Peter Falconios remains. As you mentioned, if only the police had gotten Aboriginal trackers involved from the get go this case may well have had a different outcome.
