To quote funhaus, my favorite part of this movie is when they have to place the bomb underwater, and killer croc finally steps up to use his power, only for him to be overwhelmed by 2 of the silly putty patrol and some spec ops had to finish the job. Really sums up the movie for me.

Tyran Batten they went their separate paths. I haven’t gotten the sense they hate each other once. Everyone wants there to be some animosity between them but I just don’t really see it

The absolute best thing about this movie is how this Movie in Review set looks and Andy as Robin sitting in on a ball hair ad.
The actor who played Croc was phenomenal as Mr. Eko in LOST. He’s a great actor so not sure what happened here. Probably just saw it as a cash in.
DoingOK there’s some decent actors in this movie, it’s just the script/ direction/ story/ everything else was really bad.

The DC animated films of Suicide Squad (Batman: Assault on Arkham, and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay) are way better movies. Watch those if you want a better Suicide Squad movie.

Here we go. Easily the biggest piece of shit out of the DCEU is Suicide Squad
Harley Quinn is just pushed waaaay too much into the forefront of everything DC. She’s over-saturating the market from someone who’s supposed to be essentially a sidekick to a supervillain. It’s too the point of redundancy and annoyance.
Love Greg for talking about the Harley Quinn cartoon, it’s so great. It’s like spiderverse for DC

Adewale was in LOST! Love that dude! Mr. Eko! Unfortunately he was in the second least popular season and also in the worst Thor movie, Thor The Poop Shoot World. Great actor, keeps getting small side roles.
Trust me when I say skipping the movie and just watching the review is the best way to see Suicide Squad.
The first two minutes kinda makes me want a Cosby Show in Review lol
Christian Bale uses the cape in Batman Begins to glide a whole bunch, especially in the 3rd act.

this movie was edited by a trailer company which is why its structurally a mess. the original trailers showed something way more darker and more in tone with david ayers other work. jared leto also said he shot enough for a full joker movie but most of the footage was left on the cutting room floor. I highly recommend reading the movie novelization since that was written in conjunction with the original cut of the film and presents how the story should have been if they went with Ayers vision.

I’ve only seen this movie once when it was back in theaters. Never bother rewatching it again, lmao.
My outline for Suicide Squad would have been:
- Act 1: after seeing Task Force X being killed in a mission gone horribly wrong, all the new characters get introduced
-Act 2: we see them doing black ops missions - the whole reason for them existing in the first place!
-Act 3: some final mission that they are actually responsible for in the first place - be it Joker or if they had to, connect it to Darkseid
We never get to see the being the funny, crazy and messed up black ops team that actually makes them unique.
(It seems that we will be getting something like that in The Suicide Squad, so with James Gunn in charge and the positive leaning trend of Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam I’m cautiously optimistic.)
Since Aquaman, DC has been under an entirely new producer. His name is Walter Hamada and I think hes going to eventually pick this universe up off the ground.
Xavier Gomez that’s cool, I haven’t read about that yet. That makes me even more hopeful!

What if Joker didn’t survive and Harley just imagined the break out at the end and that’s why they “broke up” in birds of prey because the Joker never got back in touch with her.... lol just thought about that 🤷🏽♂️

Who else thought that Leto’s Joker with his over the top design and performance would’ve made a far better Batman Beyond Joker where all those villains are punks instead of legit psychopaths like Batman’s typical villains?

Before I even watch this let me say I tried to power through this movie to see if it was as bad as I remember, I would say it's not, but God it's still bad. At some point I paused, saw there was still 30-40 minutes left, went to bed.

This should have been a Harley Quinn and Joker Movie, I really want to see all that unused Joker footage. I enjoyed and only looked forward to seeing Leto's Joker scenes in this whole movie.
Ok the first time I watched Suicide Squad , it was a mix feeling. I was 16 and with my brother, we both it was a blast as an action film, but we were disappointed at film’s rushing plot, some of the dialogue, and a really bad Joker. ( Jared Leto was fine, it was the direction and lack of screen that we had a problem with) We were shocked at the fans slamming on the film was bad movie, we didn’t think this was a good movie, but we didn’t think it was bad either. I decided to watch Suicide Squad again on DVD, and then I realized this was a bad movie, not terrible, Just bad. These are some cool moments that didn’t make this movie complete garbage. But unlike BVS, those cool moments were very short and did not make this movie as fun as it should have been.

I feel like the anger from BvS carried over into Suicide Squad (and multiplied) lol. Personally, between these two bad movies, BvS made me far angrier. Oh well, looking forward to Wonder Woman!

If I remember right, the awesome trailer set to music released in the spring or early April. I just remember I was in Spanish class with my best friend at the time and we were blown away by the trailer , to the point we were counting down the days to this movie. August rolls around and my dad wants to go to a football game out of state and I had already had plans with my friends to go see this so he went without me. Let me tell you the disappointment this movie filled me with is immeasurable. It's probably top three or four worst movies I've ever seen.
in the comics Deadshot wants to be defeated by Batman, that why he doesn't kills him.
The plot starts about half way thru the video, but the video is about half the length of the BVS vid...

The only thing I really disagreed with was I thought Margot Robbie did a great job as Harley Quinn. As to the times where she's level headed, she's still a psychiatrist and as I see it that character breaks through the Harley Quinn facade sometimes. She's the same way in the Adult Swim show.

This movie was basically BVS flaws, only much worse. The fact they repeated the same mistakes as BVS in rushing their cinematic universe by introducing multiple characters that felt forceful, had little to no impact on the story, and they barely had enough screen time for us to know or actually care about. Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flag, and Deadshot were fine because the actors actually did a good job with little screen time they have, but the rest I forgot because they barely talked or existed. And the fact that this movie was teasing a crap ton of sequels and spin-offs instead of TELLING US A FUCKING STORY, WHICH SHOULD BE THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A SEQUEL!!! Enchantess was a forgettable villain, she never convinced me as a threat whatsoever, HELL Doomsday was better than her and he didn’t even have LINES!
Suicide Squad was fine. The didn't need to have solo movies for every single villain character to build to a Suicide Squad movie. That's just ridiculous. It's a "men on a mission" movie, and an ensemble piece, which means that yes, some characters will get more screen time / development as others. But introducing these characters in an ensemble film isn't rushing anything, because there was never going to be a solo Killer Croc film or El Diablo film.
Literally, most of your issues could be laid at the fact that Ayer had the edit taken from him and given to a trailer editing company. By all accounts his original cut was less GotG inspired (a lot less needle drops), and each member of the Squad had more of their backstories revealed. Joker and Harley obviously getting one of the biggest hatchets in the edit.
So no, there's nothing rushed making a super villain Dirty Dozen movie, it's like saying GotG was rushed because we didn't get indivdual films about Quill, Groot, Rocket, Drax and Gamora. The main problem with the movie was WB handing off the edit to trailer editing company.
Also, I was fine BvS introducing Batman and not following the Marvel model. It's Batman, we've had a bunch of solo movies, his basic character is well established in the public's mind. It's was fine that he was already a seasoned element in the universe before Superman arrived.
I just want to point out that Kevin laughs like The Joker.
Micheal and Geoff from Achievement Hunter have great Joker laughs as well.
This movie is waaay better than BvS at least for me. I had fun watching it, which is not something I can say about Zack Snyder films
X-men proved and this movie cemented the fact that horrible movies make the best in-review content. perfection.
This is the first In Review I'm watching without watching the movie itself. I just don't have an easy way too and don't think it's worth it.
Captain Comet it’s not
The fact that this movie is the only DCEU to win an Oscar is baffling. I mean the Oscar was for Best Makeup and yes the Makeup in this movie was fine. But that may have been the only saving grace for this movie to have a sequel/reboot.

Margo Robbies Harley Quinn is a complete Comic Con cosplay caricature, not an actual character. The Kaley Cuoco animated Harley has significantly more depth, humanity, and soul than an actual Oscar nominee in a huge live action film! Ive never understood the praise she got for this terrible film.

This movie being made to me is the 8th wonder of the world, what the fuck were they thinking with anything in this movie. That being said I did actually enjoy this version of joker even tho hes so out of place in this movie, sucks there probably wont be another chance for Jared Leto to redeem his image as Joker

Rebecca Harley Colins I wasn’t attacking his interpretation, I was just pointing out he’s picked only a couple films in the superhero genre. One film is looked at as the worst of a failed movie universe and the other is a low tier Marvel antihero that has tepid hype behind it even after the trailer. To each his own on how one feels about JL’s Joker, but most people feel he’s in a distant last place for movie Joker portrayals. Maybe people will like him in Morbius as it “suits” him better, but if the movie is just another bad superhero movie then oh well.
