How much can a self serve car wash make? This is one of the most popular questions I get asked and of course the answer is always "depends".
Its like asking how much can a restaurant make. Depends on location, how good the car wash is, the weather, how many bays and a bunch of other things.
Car washes can definitely be a great business and can be very passive based on how you set it up. Check out all my videos and you should have a much better understanding on the car wash business after viewing my videos.
After working for my Uncle for 2 years at he's car washes I really wanted my own and I came across this car wash. It was completely shutdown for many years so I approached the owner of the land and made a deal with him.
It took me 6 weeks to bring it back to life and open it and now the customers are starting to pour in. Not to mention I opened it during winter so I am yet. to see its full potential but here's a small taste of how its going so far!

I'm loving your videos!! I have a question about the use of tokens at your car wash. Do your customers get a discount for using your tokens vs using quarters? If they don't get a discount, what is the benefit for them using your tokens?

I used to work at Redhill carwash they have gone to visa debit card .and app based payment’s also can buy 100$ and get free vacuums for5$ spent in bay.
Nice videos sir! But do you have someone to collect the money and take care of your car wash if you take a vacation for a month, let's say, and travelled abroad for example or to a different state. In other words, is there a company that can do this service for you in case you need it?

Change in settings. Can get from kleen rite. I get mine from tokens direct
So I have been watching your video for a couple of weeks and it's made me really start looking into my own car wash. There is one in a town by me that has an 8 bay car wash that is closed down and the town has about 9000 people in it. Do you think that car was is too big for that town. Would you invest in it?
Depends what the road it’s on is like. Quiet backstreet probably not. Busy main road probably worth it. Depends on the deal aswell. Cheap rent

Greetings, Would like to know if any of your car washes are $6k monthly, triple net without utilities? If yes how do you keep positive cash flow?
I’m guessing you mean rent. I pay 5k month rent. They are triple net. Mine are the best in the area on relatively busy roads so they do good positive cashflow 10 months out of the year.

I’m curious, why isn’t this just done with debit/credit cards? Seems like a lot of hassle for the customer and the owner to deal with cash like this.
A two second contactless transaction for x minutes seems like a really obvious way to streamline it all.
Now it does about 65% cash 35% credit cards so there’s still a huge market for cash. I like to have all the options for everyone
@@CarWashChronicles thanks. I am from the U.K. and cash is quite rare now, anywhere that expects cash means quite a few people avoid it. I believe the US was behind Europe for a while on the use of debit/credit cards with chip and pin and contactless but presumably this has now caught up?

I’ve been binging some of your videos. I’ve run retail stores for over ten years millions of dollars in revenue and want to breakout into something of my own. I wonder if you have a profit and loss statement review for your car wash? How much are the expenses? What are cost of goods? Etc. would obviously be different even if you just made one up just to give an idea of what the margins are like. Perhaps I have not got this video yet. Keep up the great videos.

Answer is always depends. Busy road or quiet backstreet? How many bays? Etc
