I know, I always say a, "beater" guitar. But, if y'all think about it, a guitar is a lot like a woman. They should NEVER be beaten, instead they should be touched in love, tenderly at times, and more frisky when the times call for it. Doing that will make you both want to make beautiful music together. OK, that was corny. Hahahaha
Sounds good David! That’s a real deal at that price. I need to get my banjo out and start playing again. I have a DP Hopkins banjo made right there in Deason. Close to you! Ride safe brother!
I would love to learn to play a banjo. You must be rich, I have heard that DP Hopkins banjos are pretty expensive. I looked them up on their website and they cost so much they don't even show the prices. "If y'all have to ask, you can't afford it." Hahaha. Pick that banjer and post it on YT, brother.
@@TennRides I had a pretty rare Gibson banjo that was an older used one. I had no idea that it was an all original one and was actually a rare model. I traded a utility building for it from an old guy. I basically had nothing in the site built utility building. I also had a couple of inexpensive ones that I had owned for many years. I had my Gibson at his place to see if he would make a few adjustments on it for me. Paul is a very honest man. He told me how few were made and that I was very lucky to have it. Later, he had a one-off custom banjo, a Black Maple, he had made for someone who decided they didn’t want it. When I saw and heard it, we traded. He gave me a very, very fair price for my Gibson and I sold the other two that I had and bought his. It has a nice ring. I haven’t played hardly any since having carpal tunnel surgery about 7 years ago. I doubt I can play it now, and not anything that anyone would listen to!! Hahaha
I was surprised when I first played it. The sound quality on the video is not as nice as the actual sound of it. I didn't use any type of sound equipment to alter the sound, like most reviewers do. It was recorded simply using the internal mic on my Cannon M50. Those were stock strings, too. I know that when I put on some better strings it will greatly improve the sound, too.
Do you have a guitar now? If so, it doesn't take a lot time every day, maybe 5-15 minutes. If you spend that much time every day playing it, you will get really good faster than you think.
Is that a solid back guitar??? To me it makes a difference! It does have sustain for sure!!! Never heard of played a Donner!! Sounds nice, perfect for a campfire geeter!!!
I was surprised. The video, and sound quality are not the best. I only used the internal mic on the camera, but in real life it sounds much better. It also plays really easy. As far as the woods. The most important part of an acoustic guitar is the soundboard, the top wood. This guitar is solid Sitka Spruce. As far as the back and sides, the only way to really know is to cut it open...Not happening. Either way, there was a time when laminates for guitars were low quality, and they used junk glue. Today's laminates are of a much higher quality and it is often difficult to tell the difference between guitars with otherwise similar builds. If you have time. Go to a local guitar shop. Find a brand that has a mid-level guitar using a laminate, and then one with solid back and sides. Have someone blindfolded...then steal their wallet and run. Hahaha. Seriously, they probably won't be able to hear much difference, if any, between them. Strings are more likely to make a notable difference in sound than a mid-range guitar using a laminate today. That is why even high end guitars use them as well. Sorry for the book.
I like the flat finish on it. 👍👍
I normally am not a fan of flat finishes on my guitars, but this one looks pretty nice.
Sounds pretty darn good 🤠👍👍
It doesn't sound as nice as a Martin or Taylor, but for the price it is better than I would have expected.
Excellent acoustic guitar and great review! Thank you for sharing! Greetings from Elly 🎸🎸🎸
Thank you, Elly.
Nice review. Christmas is coming and I think I found the best gift for my son, he's been saying he wants to learn how to play guitar.
Thanks. I think he will be happy.
Great review
Thanks, Larry.
Woww ! I love the sound of your new guitar David. Clear and loud..you're a good guitarist and a singer too.
Salamat po. I was surprised when they sent it to me. I think you are a lot more of talented a musician than I am.
Awesome sounds good.
Thanks. Yep, not a bad guitar for what they are asking for them.
Wow so beautiful I love it I pray to have some guitar also for the ministry
Have you tried to contact some music stores to see if they will donate a couple of guitars to your ministry?
@@TennRides ohh thank you so much hope you have my email

That’s a great deal on a guitar 😎👍
Yes, it is a fairly decent price for a kit like that. At today's prices, it is worth it.

Pretty solid review my man! I don't know Jack about geetars, but I think you missed your calling.
Thanks, Ogre. Missed my calling? So, you think I should be doing guitar reviews? Hahaha
@@TennRides
Just reviews in general.
That’s a wow guitar 🎸
Let’s sing 🎤
And have a concert on stage
So talented David 👏👍👏
Have a bless weekend 🙏
If I cone to CDO you and your sisters can sing with me. Hahaha
It has a good tone. Not bad for an inexpensive guitar. It looks like the strings are medium gauge. That is what I use on my 12 string.

I really love guitar but I don't know how to strung ,long before ago a friend of mine taught me how to play but due to inadequate time......
