Hopefully, this will post without getting some stupid copyright strike. I find it very sad that someone can still hold a copyright on this song, even though Fred Rose, who wrote this song back in the 1940s, has been dead since 1954! My granddaughter wanted me to sing for her, I hope that y'all enjoy it. Let me know what you think. Watch it soon in case I have to take it down. Thanks.
You did well, David TennRides, I am VERY IMPRESSED, with your performance and rendition of the old Fred Rose, tune first recorded by, Hank Willams Sr...
Definitely a timeless classic! Your granddaughter will never forget the time spent with you! Keep it up! And, yes…. We got the snow as you did! lol…. Take care brother!
It is a very good song. I talked to her a couple of weeks back and she told me she had fun with me. It made me so happy that she had fun with her Papaw. 😁 Were your roads out your way clear, like they were here? I actually went for a bike ride today. It was in the low 40s, and the sun was just starting to go down when I got home. It was starting to get a bit nippy, I didn't bring my heated gear.
Yeah, it's a really good song. I lot of folks think Willie wrote it, but he did not. The song was written by Fred Rose back in 1945. I actually like George Jones' version better than Willie's. George, I believe, recorded it before Willie.

@ … yes, our roads were all pretty clear. They got them cleaned up pretty quickly.
@@TennRides …. I’m glad she had fun!
That was really nice, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I appreciate y'all. Thank YOU for watching.
Give her a few years and she will be singing along with you 😃👍👍
I'm looking forward to it. Thanks, brother.

So cute baby girl
Pretty 🤩
I think she wanted to be a singer also
Like grandpa David
What a talented family wow👏🎵👍❤️
Maraming maraming salamat po. I want to teach her how to play guitar, too bad she lives so far away.
Very cute and sweet. 🥰
Awe thanks, I'm glad you think I am cute and that she is sweet. Hahahahaha. I agree, she is cute and sweet. I miss her.
Great song!
I agree, it is a great song. Fred Rose penned a big hit, and a number of well-known artists, like Willie, made a lot of money off of it.
Your granddaughter really enjoyed that.
Yeah, she seemed to really enjoy it. So did I.
You're welcome Dave
👍👍 great job brother. That was better than the one you sent me of that other guy. Catch you later.
🤣 Thanks. I think I would rather hear a donkey bray at midnight in a tin barn than hear that guy sing again. Hahaha.
