Thanks! I had a 200t given to me. Didn’t run, cleaned it like you showed. New filters, plug, fuel line, fresh fuel and it runs great! Keep up the great work in your career and the videos.
I've just rebuilt an MS200T for myself! One thing I would advise is to take off your clutch and check the springs (mine were super dodgy) and then grease the bearing for the sprocket as if they run dry they can ruin the crankshaft which is a very expensive part!
Great tip thanks. Really appreciate, I do that this winter for sure. They show stuffing rope inside the cylinder to stop the rotation so you can spin off the sprocket. Is there a better way?
Thanks. Are you sure about greasing that bearing? Stihl tech line disagrees. He said that bearing is only used during idle and under load the bearing just sits there. He said grease will attract dust and dirt. He also mentioned the crank shaft is significantly harder metal as well. I’m open to all suggestions. Have you seen a damaged crankshaft as a result of the bearing?
@@alexpearson8481 I'd definitely grease it. If you don't they get hot and you can easily score the crankshaft or damage something. I think if you look at the service manual for installation it even says to grease it and tells you what grease to use. They even make a sprocket bearing grease
I guess I’ll never understand some people. These saws are expensive and will last a long time with a little care and maintenance. I’m glad to see you have brought it back to what it should be. Great video.
Wish my girl would get this excited when I bring home a new powersaw! I have a beautiful little modded 200t that I will never get rid of! Love it. Gold standard climbing saw!
Great job on a “diamond in the rough”!!! A saw like that is worth keeping clean and well maintained. I do not understand people who pay a lot for their equipment and do not maintain it properly. I have an older model 020T that is my favorite saw. Pound for pound it is the most powerful saw that Sthil makes.
We bought a well used 200T a year or more ago. The finish was not nearly the good shape yours is. Still runs great after some carb repairs by the dealer. Adjusting screw setup was worn out. Runs great now. Very pleased with ours. I hope you enjoy your new saw as well.
That was a mildly used saw. Great buy. It seems like the previous owners used it long enough to wear down one side of the bar from not flipping the bar over and that's about it. It's still practically a new saw that has just been broken in really good. What a find! Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I hope you have a blast with your new 200t for many years to come! 😁🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
On a well used second hand saw, I also like to change the fuel and oil filters. Especially on a saw that hesn't seen too much love ! Maybe also grease rge needle bearing ? Awesome video though, loved the out-take at the end ! Be happy together ;-)
I recently purchased one of these and it was good to see a video of someone going through it and cleaning it. Yes, I am too lazy to read a manual! Great video and the production quality of your videos is damn good. Thanks for the video, its very helpful!
Anyone else think that bar looks mint maybe some bur flat filling, check for straightness, an check the rails other than that flip it an run it, looks great nice score!
Great saw, still got the sticker on the front and looks to be the original side cover before they changed the design. Nice find! I'm into modding and I've got a few. I forget how lucky I am and how people are happy to have one nice one. Nice to see it cherished.
I was lucky to be given a defective 020T and an ms200 rear handle, also defective. £115 and some time, and they were running again! Just about my best saws!
Your pulling at my heart strings. I just love the saw. Looking for one myself. My echo died. Small saw big heart. Piston cracked. Can't find any parts . + RESTING in Peace
If sawdust, dirt, etc. is allowed to build up in the chain brake area, the chain brake band will drag upon the clutch housing. That will put a constant load on the motor, overheating it a bit and slow it down. I found that Simple Green cleans my Stihl Saws really well!
Good video. If you've got an air compressor it makes cleaning the saw soo much quicker and easier, you blast everything with air (a small engine mechanic gave me this advice btw)
I'm so jealous. After having a brand new 200t that I had to let go, and now I couldn't afford even a used one. I'm hoping the Chinese clones of the ms200t don't disappoint too much, since that's what I was able to buy. Fingers crossed that my new saws do ok, since I bought to versions. 🤞☺️
Good video, I like to do what you just did so I can see if any issues are going to happen and replace worn parts before they break. As far as the old bar, I hope you keep it for a back up. Look like you take care of your saws. Nice! Looks new and sounds even better. Loved the bloopers by the way!
So jealous!!! The Holy Grail of chainsaws. I’ve been looking for one for quite a while and haven’t found one yet that was a decent price. Any that are in good condition people want way too much for them. Nice find. 😁
I was hoping you were going to put a Stihl light weight bar. My son runs a 16” lw and loves it. I the saw starts to run strange and revs high shut it down and have it pressure tested. As good as the MS200T is they are notorious for having bad crank seals and needing carburetor kits. Enjoy your new treasure!
You must use file to extract a gap on bar or grinder with cutting disc and polish gap on barr and then the old barr will be like new one more time and redy to cutt same new pace of wood-cheers and all the best!!!
Now ya talking ,!,!!!MS200 climbers saw, unbelievably good saws, wish I still had one.I don’t know what brands of oil you can get in Denmark ,but if you can use Castrols TT blue synthetic oil, swear by it.brake cleaner does a good job with cleaning it,takes the oil of and leaves it dry once evaporated.👍
Nice job. I think I would have went ahead and changed everything though. Carb. Gaskets, fuel lines and filters ECT. BTW, just a pointer, take the pull cord out a little bit before you shut the saw off.
I didn't realize you were from Denmark, we had 4 Danish girls as exchange students of the years. I wanted to come visit them but your country is soooo expensive. It is much cheaper to have them come back over here.
Buen video.ms 200 similar a 011av.me gustaria que muestre mas sobre carburacion en esos modelos de stihl ya que me es dificil conseguir datos.saludos de Argentina Argentina
Hi, great video, what's your opinion of the orange stihl multi tool seen in your video's as the main bodies made of plastic, will it stand the test of time or break easily, thanks, and keep up the great video's, very educational, thanks
Hi - nice video! Thanks! Could I ask about this wooden STIHL box please? I have been after theses for a while now and can’t find them anywhere! Where did you get yours and where could I get them? Do you know the STIHL part number for them perhaps or smth??? Many Thanks!!! 😊😎😊
You always treat your saws so nicely!
Thanks! I had a 200t given to me. Didn’t run, cleaned it like you showed. New filters, plug, fuel line, fresh fuel and it runs great! Keep up the great work in your career and the videos.

The smile at the end of revving it up says it all ! Congrats, so happy for you. Stay safe using it and you will be using it for a lifetime. 😁👍
Beautiful saw. One of your best videos yet! Perfect balance of camera angles, editing, humor, and background music. And I'm envious of that saw...
Thank you 😉
Just got my first 200t today and I’ll be doing the same to mine this weekend. It’s just nice to have a fresh start with a new saw
Wish my girl would get this excited when I bring home a new powersaw! I have a beautiful little modded 200t that I will never get rid of! Love it. Gold standard climbing saw!

With u on that one friend.. and the engines is less problematic and simple...x
To hear you be so excited about that saw is awesome. The STIHL box that it came in that's pretty cool too.😁👍

You are truly the best chainsaw /arborist ambassador there is.

Thats a cracking example!! Now in a deserved home, wish all tree’ists looked after their saws this well.

Good job cleaning that saw i love working with clean machines
You helped me a lot. Thanks for this great video. I have the same baby. I love the MS 200 T so much! I will never give it away.
Now I need to go and clean my 020T and make look as clean as yours. Good job Felixia 👍
Wow, it cleaned up nicely! The cases look good as well, it should be a good one.
The best top handle saws ever built. Great job
On a well used second hand saw, I also like to change the fuel and oil filters. Especially on a saw that hesn't seen too much love ! Maybe also grease rge needle bearing ? Awesome video though, loved the out-take at the end ! Be happy together ;-)

It helps the saw run better and last longer by taking care of it like you are doing.
great job just the way I like it! I could never leave a chainsaw in those conditions!
Anyone else think that bar looks mint maybe some bur flat filling, check for straightness, an check the rails other than that flip it an run it, looks great nice score!
I’m keeping it for back up 😉
Looked like you went from 12" to 14". Definite upgrade if so.
That bar looks totally fine. She didn’t actually inspect it lol
That was a huge smile when you got it started. 👍😁😁😁
can't hide the joy ;)
That little beast cleaned up quite nice. Excellent rescue Felixia!
excellent demonstration of primary maintenance
Cleaning the Stihl emblem on the side cover.....priceless!
Hello! It's good to watch you like these machines! It was nice after cleaning! I wish you joyful and accident-free work :) from here in Hungary :)
I love the outtakes from you guys! Gold! :P
Great saw, still got the sticker on the front and looks to be the original side cover before they changed the design. Nice find!
I'm into modding and I've got a few. I forget how lucky I am and how people are happy to have one nice one. Nice to see it cherished.
Nice to see you back, you did a great job!
Have a blessed day and be careful. Look forward for your next video

Nice 2 see you back. Love to have that saw
Your pulling at my heart strings.
I just love the saw.
Looking for one myself.
My echo died. Small saw big heart.
Piston cracked.
Can't find any parts .

Can you do a video on all of you're chainsaws and equipment
A pleasure to watch your video, good job!
8 Stihl. Products. And love every one of. Them. 👍🎉🎉🎉☃️☃️☃️

You can clean my saws anytime it looks great they are very powerful Sawls for their size👍👍
Good video. If you've got an air compressor it makes cleaning the saw soo much quicker and easier, you blast everything with air (a small engine mechanic gave me this advice btw)
I did clean it with an air compressor

That did not look to bad to start with .... happy for you
Beautiful work and a loving hand.
Good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍, Sthil is#1, That's the way I am about all my power equipment
Just picked up 2 of the ms200t saws today at a yardsale for $30. Going to starting cleaning them now.
Nice saw sweetie, I just started building 1 but all new oem parts my bottom end is here and my cylinder and piston are on the way
Great video you did a nice job on that saw love you videos keep up the good work
Thank you
Hmm. I don't know why I would watch a Stihl video from beginning to end, but I did.
I’m loving this new video! I’m jealous young lady!
😀 Great video - Looks good as new! The smoke 🤣🤣🤣 SEND IT!
Good video, I like to do what you just did so I can see if any issues are going to happen and replace worn parts before they break. As far as the old bar, I hope you keep it for a back up. Look like you take care of your saws. Nice! Looks new and sounds even better. Loved the bloopers by the way!

Hello how are you doing today. It helps to keep a saw clean. I clean mine after everytime I use it.

Am jealous it was the best top handle saw I every had by a long way
I’m very excited as you might see in the video 😆
Awesome 😎 job looks good I have a used 025 I picked up used for a good price that needs some TLC.
You must use file to extract a gap on bar or grinder with cutting disc and polish gap on barr and then the old barr will be like new one more time and redy to cutt same new pace of wood-cheers and all the best!!!
Another awesome A class video 📹👏
Thank you
Hopefully there is good hours ahead on your chainsaw :-) Some time ago I needed to replace fuel and oil caps on my MS201 (I bought it as a used saw).
Wow! It looks brand new! Well done. Only tree people understand the importance of this saw lol
Best climbing saw made. Great job, it's a shame to dirty it up.🎉
Great video! That’s so clean!!
This t handle chainsaw its comfortable for arborist i know i use them regulary ,lite weight also !!!
Regularly check chain brake Felix, good job cleaning it back up.

Yes 100%
I didn't realize you were from Denmark, we had 4 Danish girls as exchange students of the years. I wanted to come visit them but your country is soooo expensive. It is much cheaper to have them come back over here.
Great vid....I have been using a product called Muck off to clean saw parts, think it's made for cycle bikes.
I also remove the carb cover. Spraying everything down with brakecleen
Absolutely 💯
I bet this fixed it too.
Most guys would have replaced every part before just giving it a proper clean
Lol
Best climbing saw ever
I will fixing mine stihl ms 250 this week
Flott og du er så utrolig flink til å jobbe med motorsag vaske og stelle på saga 😂 😎 💪 😊 fint å se på den saga
I had 5 in last week for various repairs, 1 was ported and had work done on the cylinder and the exhaust. Go a picture off all 5 but can't post here 😕
Welcome to the Stihl 200 climb 😎
Thanks
Great video 👏🏼💥😉
Out of all my small engine tools I love my Stihl 8mm T-handle wrench. It just looks cool and feels great in the hand. What do you think?
It does look new
Great job awsome video
Thanks

Love my 200t
Fantastic saw
Awesome job feamle lumberjack
please if you can make a video on how to clean the exhaust on this model. I also have a 200t and I would like to clean the exhaust. thank you
All I do is take it all apart and wire brush the crap out of it
You are a cute stihl rev head i think you are amazing.
I would love to have a MS200T to replace my 193T
Common problem with these saws was the clutch springs going all the time, causes them too (run on),really bad when your climbing.
How did it worked with the spray...did you liked it. I notice Stihl distributors has it on the shelf lately... I did not tried it yet.
Your tree ready now yee haw

Hi, thanks.
The only number I could find is this: 70018828701 don't know if that helps you in any way. In Denmark it's called a STIHL chainsaw box.
If you could please send a link where you found that scrench tool (wrench/screwdriver) that would be great. Would love to get one.
It’s a STIHL mt2
What kind of spray did you use to clean the air filter and saw thanks
Varioclean
@@Femalelumberjack can you also use it to clean the air filter
