Notes: 26:10 Louder than Love (Soundgarden, Chris Cornell) ticks all the boxes for what Kegan Deboheme would teach a vocalist to do 29:24 88-89 Chris Cornell singing, range up to D5/E5, grit that's in the resonance, NOT the throat 29:47 to do Chris Cornell's Jesus Christ Pose, first practice Credence Clearwater Revival's (John Fogerty) Have You Ever Seen The Rain 48:41 listen to Dirty Diana by MJ for example of a serious rock singer 53:16 Eddie Vedder (Pearl jam) was trying to do Eric Burdon (The Animals). Listen to R&B / Soul tunes from The Animals like Bury My Body 53:46 Look to soul singers (Ann Peebles) and opera singers 56:26 pay attention to Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby's switches between crooning and supporting notes (like E vowel supported and above Crosby's baritone range) 1:09:45 Listen to Stevie Wonder Ribbon in the Sky wedding. Has example of him singing in a way to set himself up for higher notes even though the lower notes don't sound great 1:20:00 Daniel took voice lessons with Seth (Riggs?) who said that his reinforced falsetto was hard to distinguish from his head voice. Some vocalists can fool listeners about which vocal coordination they're using
I could listen to this stuff all day. So informative. Would love to hear you guys tackle some more subjects in-depth, like vowels, placement, styles of singing, etc.
I just listened to 28 tenors singing high C and heard for the first time (I´ve been singing since 1986-87) the vowel change towards the french (oe) vowel on the top-note in almost all of the singers;) th-cam.com/video/qYzjo6_XAJg/w-d-xo.html
