    I was surprised in the middle of the song, I realized it was "Smooth" by Rob Thomas and Santana. How cool is that? These musicians were playing something so modern. I even sang the lyrics to the tune, it matched nicely. Nice video Sam.

    For any doubters: It's fuzzy, but it appears that the letters below 80 on the speedometer at 15:03 are "mph." So they really are going over 100 mph, not 100 km/hr, which would be only about 62 mph. In fact, the yellow numbers in the inner circle must be the speed in km/hr, since they're bigger than the corresponding white numbers. The biggest yellow number is 240, which is about lined up with the white 150. 240 km/hr is about 149 mph.

    You should definitely check out northern Germany, too. Especially the Baltic Sea has some amazing places to see in the Summer. Go to Fehmarn for example. It's one of the places in Germany with most hours of sunshine.
    And of course Hamburg is a city non-comparable to any other German city.
    One night of good partying on the Reeperbahn and it's gonna be hard to top that.
    It's a whole different flair there. I know it's a long drive from Stuttgart but it would be worth it.
    I like your videos a lot, thanks for sharing.

    Did the Rodelbahn in Todtnau in 2012. Had fun driving 100+ mpg, too. Not sure if you drive stick, but it's easy to pick up and even more fun! Keep them coming!

    Best joke is at 10:16 about someone with OCD having a seizure seeing all the clock pendulums swinging out of sync.
    I was going to ask what you call that ride that ran in free fall around and down the hills, but then I zeroed in on the sign at 12:10. I think it says *Rodelbahn Gutach Öffnung April bis Oktober: **9:00** - **18:00**.* This translates as Toboggan run Gutach opening April - October 9 AM - 6 PM. I don't understand *Gutach.* However, *Gutachten* can mean expert's report; so perhaps *Gutach Öffnung* means official opening or exact times of operation? Can someone explain *Gutach*?

    • @Dokus
      @Dokus 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +alwaysuseless gutach is a small town down there. obviously the rodelbahn is located in or near the town of gutach.

    • @alwaysuseless
      @alwaysuseless 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dokus LOL! No wonder I didn't understand Gutach! *Danke!* Because I thought I had a language problem, it didn't occur to me to google Gutach. Lesson learned: Always google before giving up!

    • @classiclistener01
      @classiclistener01 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Tridhos Hamburgers are popular in Germany; and, some claim they originated there...but, I understand your point. I'd have returned home thirty pounds heavier from eating every kind of German sausage in sight, along with beer. :D

    • @_who_cares_1123
      @_who_cares_1123 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +classiclistener01 Hamburgers originated in Germany because of their Name Hamurger --> Hamburg (a City in zhe North of Germany)

    • @classiclistener01
      @classiclistener01 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +_who_cares_ That's what I thought, but, you know how others often claim they originated, invented, and, discovered different things. Most of the world believes that the Polish invented the perogi and galumpki...but, they only invented the name change. It was the Swedish who introduced those foods during their occupation of that region in the 1500-1600s before they were pushed out by Peter The Great. Ironically, I read that in a Polish cookbook!?!?

    I went to the Black Forest two weeks ago, it was okay, but a bit too cloudy. But I wonder about you, being from Greenville in California, didn't you get a culture shock when you came in my beautiful country? Facing all the technology, great cars, people eating with forks and knives and being civilised? Did it take long for you to adapt? I hope you use your stay to learn useful things, so you can be an educated American. :-)

  • @TheRealSamWalton
    @TheRealSamWalton  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm from Greenville, South Carolina. Not California. And I would say we're very civilized in America! (We DO use forks and knives.) xD There are definitely more nice cars here than in my part of America, but I wouldn't say technology in general is any better. And I'm still adapting. Thanks for watching! :)
