The zorua behavior is also a bit funny for size-dependent forms. You can easily farm XXS and XXL zorua by using the different sizes of Pumpkaboo (e.g. buddy an XXL pumpkaboo and zorua will always be XXL)
i noticed that inconsistency in the zorua sizing too... that it didnt match up to actual XXL and XXS limits of the real species... interesting that it might be some weird one off calculation they do for it... i was not aware of the airplane mode glitch, thats a cool thing to have in your back pocket... i have ALWAYS said that niantic needs to add a 'practice mode' to the pokedex where you can go to any pokemon youve previously caught and basically get 'unlimited practice throws' on it to get better at excellents... i know its basically 0% they'll ever add this, but they def should

Awwwww this was super interesting, but was hoping you'd found a way to practice on just hand selected specific Pokemon with relative ease. Wouldn't mind getting 20 Galarian bird practice throws per day until I feel comfortable with them. If i find a shiny I might get loads of practice, but knowing my luck it'll catch on the 2nd ball, a missed excellent, just to spite me.
I actually started recording mine so I could look back to see how far away it is, how hard did I throw, etc. That has helped a LOT (I have all of them now).

Even finding a single zorua is crazy... I haven't seen one in a while.
Ironically they aren't spawning right now. Most of the time they are though, at least in the last few years.

Definitely! Also 3 in a row is definitely possible with practice and nanab berries (so the pokemon doesn't block or jump at the last second).
This could help a lot with rare stuff like the incense birds. Use the common Kanto version to practice fir the rare Galarian version.
