Jeff, the fact that you haven't changed the way you do TH-cam since you started your channel is one of the reasons why I have always been a fan of yours👍 There are a bunch of knife/edc gear related TH-camrs that grew their channels rapidly, because they're flashy. But these knife TH-camrs are not honest, they give positive/great reviews of knives/gear because they get those knives and gear free from the manufacturer😬 Jeff, you have always been honest and kept it real, that's what I really appreciate about you👍

I remember watching your videos back when you were in your room at your parents house. I never commented because I didn’t have a channel or account back then. I now make content everyday and it is difficult to always do it. Don’t worry what people say or comment on here, some just want to feel better about themselves and others just want to be mean. I’ve lost count how many years I’ve been watching your channel. Sent originally from Dwayne Myers and Weapon Collector all those years ago. Loved the content then when I was a young buck and love it even more now that I’m an adult and can appreciate it more. People seem to forget the person behind the screen is human just like the rest of us. Keep up the great work!

I love that you keep things simple in your videos and get your points across with a camera and your words, not flashy editing and such. As a younger man than you, i always appreciate the honesty and your thoughts and feelings on life and just being a person in general. (plus knife reviews too?!) Thanks for this. It was almost like therapy for me to hear you tell your story of tough times with a strong and positive resolve. Too many pretend their lives are great on social media or give a poor me story. This is more a real life story of hope.
I watched you back in 2009, I bought a Zippo online and was afraid it was a fake because of the price. It was a listing from the United States, around 20 dollars on eBay. In Europe the same lighter goes for about double that.
I made a video showing the lighter and asking for an authentication of sorts. Like the gentleman you are, you took the time out of your day to get back to me and confirm it was indeed a real Zippo.
All these years later I come across your channel once more and it felt a little like coming home. Still great stories bring told, still cool items being shown. All real as can be.

Definitely feel for you. I think we all can relate. All of our paychecks are getting smaller and smaller over the past couple years due to our pay rates staying the same and the cost of everything exploding.

I love your hot sauce videos, your hot sauce video’s is why I first started watching you & of course I love Vinny too & I love your fishing videos, I love watching you fish & I love your random nature videos of wild turkeys, bears, deer, etc. I love your porch videos, rain , snow videos. I’m not into knives so I don’t watch those but I watch everything else & I love you, kinda like a son lol. I am always watching your videos, I just quit commenting because there were a few people who enjoyed being rude in the comments & I really wanted to tell them off lol but I just stopped commenting instead to avoid the drama.
Assuming that you have to move I’m saddened by this because this house is where you’ve always been since I started watching you & so it feels like home & it’s nostalgic. I remember watching you since I was in highschool, Ive made some really dumb comments myself here but not really at you.
I still remember when you had problems with the Chrysler and posting videos wondering what they could be. (A lot of them said "it's a Chrysler lmao")
That made me wonder why so I looked up repair videos/car videos.
Lots of things happened to my life and I was able to keep a crappy car longer because I was exposed to those kinds of videos. I have a job now because of it.
Finding your channel I think really changed my life, because I don't think I would be here today without thinking "The knife guy I like watching is having car problems, how? And can I find out if I can help?"
I never found out a way since I didn't wanna say anything since I wasn't sure if my advice would work. Plus you got rid of it by the time I learned a small bit lol

I been watching you for 10+ years Jeff. I remember when you got bit by the spyderco opening slightly in your pocket. I think that was the Spyderco Tenacious? The zippo tricks were cool too and, of course Gus we miss that bulldog. Then there were the hot sauce reviews as well. Just so much good content.
Great content man. These are my favorite type of videos. Real life content. Keep your head up man things will work out. If it does help toy should start a fund raiser or something to help you out. I've been watching you for about 12 of those years. Your content has a good variety and even though I'm not a knife collector I still like the reviews and knowing what's out there or new. Same reason I watch hicock, I'll never be able to own 99% but it's still cool. One of the best things is you have stayed the same and are a solid dude.
With spring and summer coming up would you consider doing a overnight camping video? I know things are busy but if you have time it would be cool if you could just grab a bunch of gear and nothing crazy. I always enjoy seeing the prep and set up. Even tylertube finally did a one nighter and bless his heart lol atleast he got out there though

Jeff, I have consistently watched your videos for the past 13 years, you not changing anything means that I know exactly what I’m in for when I watch your videos. People with short attention spans love the over the top editing and clickbait. Yes maybe it makes some people quick money but in the long run it’s not sustainable. You going strong for 16 years is commendable and I hope you don’t stop making videos as you have had a huge impact on the TH-cam EDC community as a whole.

My heart broke when he lost Gus. I was so glad he had already met Christina so he wasn’t alone. I’m 70 and have 10 dogs. They are the only reason I get up in the morning. And, no, I am not a breeder.
@@dianesozio7035 I know right? Gus was a cool dog. I just recently lost 2 of my dogs that I've had for a long long time. They both were my best buds. My one was a girl, her name was Rogue. And the other he was a boy and his name was Pup. All my animals are like my kids.

I just about a month ago lost my Max. Mini Schnauzer. He would have been 9 in May. I also have his sister Minnie who is still searching for him. Maximum and Minimum were brought home as 8 week old puppies.

I make content when I feel up to it. Mostly when I get new knives or new camping gear. Sometimes, I do 3 or 4 videos at the same time. Sometimes I go a week or two and film nothing. I don't stress about it.
Been taggin’ along since 2010 and enjoy all the videos Jeff. All that stuff is just stuff man.

The one thing you got to remember is it's not their choice at the end of the day it's not their decision no matter what you do I'm a butcher by trade so I deal with the public on a regular basis and the one thing I got to tell myself is don't let one bad comment or interaction ruin the whole rest of your day because it's not worth it I have watched your videos since probably 2010 when I was a freshman in high school and now I'm 28 with two kids and married so I pretty much grew up watching you and I think one of the reasons I've watched so long is because you don't change you do stay so consistent I also read some of those comments on that other video and I kind of ticked me off so I can only imagine what it is for you I do wish you and yours the best no matter what it is you do I know how it can be when your place gets sold out from under you the place I'll be back right now for example has sold 3 times since we lived here

Time are tough financially for everyone right now. Like you, I’ve been on a progression of upgrading my vehicle every 5ish years and just recently i had to make a slight downgrade when getting a new used truck. I’ve been kind of hard on myself about it but I don’t want to stress over a big car payment right now

as far as how fast you can sell some assets vs others, I know just what you mean. During covid when I was out of work and money was getting tight, I sold one of my high-end bass guitars. Took a couple of weeks to find a guy who was interested, and another week of haggling to agree on terms. You can have valuable stuff and add that total to your bank account in your mind, but actually translating from the item itself to dollars in cash or in your bank balance might not be as quick and easy as you'd hope if you're not used to doing business that way.
You should do a live one day so you can just be in the moment and interact with us in real time brotha

I am not on TH-cam as much anymore, since i am married and a dad and i work a lot.
But i keep coming back to your Channel every couple of weeks to Watch some videos.

Jeff, I always enjoyed watching your videos. I truly think that your videos are great the way they are... simple talk... no need for flash, smoke, and mirrors. Before TSE, I was in business for 25 years; I had a great YT channel and was doing very well with it... until YT removed a majority of my gun vids, then decided to remove my channel altogether. I can definitely relate to that portion... but I had a FT job, which was my business, until 2017... when a natural disaster took it. Whatever happens, I hope you make it through. I know tough times, and experienced ups and downs as well. I am virtually starting all over again in an even more knife/gun unfriendly environment, but this time, I am in it just for enjoyment and love of my hobby. Best of luck to you in your future... Hold Fast... All storms eventually pass.
