Had to work outside all day in the absolute lashing rain in under an Iveco replacing the suspension today... soaked through, froze, miserable, tools all soaked.. water running down my neck all day... Gave me a whole new reminder on what it's like working outside in all weathers Mr KAW - kudos to you for just ploughing on. I hated it tbh. Miserable day out.
Absolutely brilliant video as always Kevin, thank you ever so much!!! You are a true grafter & deserve all the happiness and success in the world!!! You truly are an inspiration to us all!!! I hope you have a relaxing long weekend!! Thank you so much again!! Best wishes to you & your family ❤️

Brilliant as ever, you're the only one I've found on youtube doing an Astra K clutch - was starting to think folk were avoiding doing them for some reason !
explained the reason, the lack of leakage. low mileage! but it is a chronic problem that I face with transit. the same with the older iveco, with the one about character.
Hi kev how come you don't show the gear box sensers when putting box back in .it would be great to see just ware they all go !! Ie. Peugeot boxer van gear box sencer . thanks again for all your great videos Graham from West Midlands

I watch all of you’re videos boy what a talent you are to this trade my friend and into the bargain be doing all that on the floor you must be one hell of a workhorse need guys like you in my workshop 😅😅
I've done a good few clutches in my time to but i enjoy watching Kev's vids, i'm not strong enough to lift back up those heavy comercial boxes though. That white tranny clutch looked not to bad lol.
Hi Kevin. I have a bit of a dilemma and I wanted to seek your wisdom if I may please bud? Over the last few months I have been busy rectifying a lot of cowboy bodges' made by the garage who sold me my Astra (Z18XER). It's a sound car but needed a lot of work. I've resolved a lot of stuff now with new oem but recently the sensor housing of the crankshaft pulse ring completely snapped off because it was absurdly over-over-torqued and likely already cracked. So, now I need a new one put on, and thought I may as well get the clutch replaced at the same time. But here's where it gets confusing and I can only put this down again to the ****'s at the garage. Trying to find the right clutch kit has been difficult but I finally sussed it out today. My reg is 2007 with engine code 20JM. It should therefore have a transmission for engines up to 20KC3240 with a 19.2mm flywheel. There is no colour marking on the gear linkage yet the flywheel has code 55558223, which is a 21.8mm flywheel. So I deduce they've placed a post-2008 gearbox in the car but with no marking on the linkage, I have to wonder if these are transplanted from the original gearbox. So, would a post- 20KC3241 engine with a 21.8mm flywheel fit on a block from a pre- 20KC3240 engine? Something doesn't quite seem right to me and I wanted to ask your advice because the 19.2mm clutch kits are around £70-£100 more expensive than the 21.8mm kits. If not, it means the whole engine must be a donor. Once I know more and understand what I have, I will have peace of mind to contact you for a quote to replace the seal ring and clutch kit. Cheers in advance. 👍
No probs. Send me the reg and we can work out the engine code on the block and I should be able to find the correct part number for you. But send it via email or WhatsApp as I don’t see follow up messages on here.
Full send bro never lift 😏 🤙 mobbin deep 🙌 ooo hey bro quick question when you install the new clutch to the flywheel can it be installed either side or is there a frontside and backside of the clutch 🤔

How is the release bearing actuated on that white Transit van? Is it hydraulically operated or another way? Great video by the way, lots of narrow roads and driveways.
Kevin, you are a pro. One question: How come you are not wearing protective glasses? I have so many bad experiences with some carbon or metal particles falling down into my eyes...god i was blind for at least 4 hours. Since then i never go under a car without safety glasses
Whenever you’re shooting a moving target never aim for it. You’ll be good from there on 🍻🍻🍻 Thank you for taking time to leave a comment.. very much appreciated
@@WMCS where did you get that hoodie from? Is it waterproof? And can you recommend me a waterproof mechanic suit that actually keeps the water away:) . Tried so many and i get soaked after being in the rain for 20 min. Thx
They are equally good in their own perspective. Depending on engine size, torque and bhp. More bhp Sachs as it’s got more compression on the pressure plate. So less slip is likely. For load bearing engines ie: T5 Van definitely LUK. As the pressure plate is adjustable and can take the load better and not wear the clutch as much.

What happens if you discover a broken gearbox or a leaking seal or something of this nature that you were not informed and prepared to repair?
I just tackle it accordingly
