Entirely shot in Paris with the latest iPhone X AND : camera sliders, tripods etc etc. But still : Video is really well done. Good job.
No camera sliders, no tripods, mostly monopods and gimbals. We also used our own hands... sorry we did not mention it. Thank you anyway.

The story telling and the talent on screen and behind it are the stars here. The dynamic range and the codec of iphone X suffer compared to mirrorless cams today. Certainly could produce your own video or cheap videos if the the battery holds for a couple hours of shooting and audio solutions or dual system sound are utilized. In capable hands is the key.

Wow ! That was good, very good. Not only did those wonderful pastries look delicious but the the whole short film how it was told. Mesmerising !.......and then we have that superb quality video. Okay, a lot of extras to make it look good but I guess that's the point....with a bit of thought something beautiful can be created from a phone. Outstanding job !

This was amazing! Very interested in knowing how you recorded. With or without a program (like Filmic) or stock camere app? What color grading you did to the footage? What you used to stabilize shots (gimbal, tripod, fluid head, slider)? Did you add any lenses to iPhone (like Moment lens or Olloclip)? Amazing video, shows what can be done on iPhone, I loved it! I am convinced to get one. Please share tips and details on how serious hobbyist and even professionals can make the most out of iPhone X for filming great videos

No color grading in post. Almost everything was shot with the Camera app (Filmic was only used as a remote for 2 shots). We used monopods (Gitzo) and Gimbals (DJI + Zhiyun). Only for the macro shots, we used an inexpensive lens from Schneider Optics. Thank you Ari for your comment.
AmnesiArt Great video. I didn’t see the jitter common with using gimbals on the iPhone X, 8, 8+ etc due to not being able to turn off OIS. I’ve seen it on both the Osmo and Smooth Q. How did you avoid this issue? Thanks
Jacob Ryall Interesting, most people I’ve talked to have experienced the issue. Do you have a link to any footage? Sometimes it’s hard to notice the jitter unless you look towards the edge of the frame
If you don't run or make excessive moves, you shouldn't see much jitter. You have to walk smoothly and be gentle with your movements. Thanks!

Thank you Yamil for your comment! We shot 99% of this film with the native Apple's camera app (24p, 4K). We only used FilMic Pro for the fridge and flour (slo-mo) shots.

I see on the description box both DJI and Zhiyun gimbals. Did you use both for different shots? If you had to pick one, which one would you pick?
We found the DJI is better used handheld as a regular gimbal, while the Zhiyun fits great on top of a monopod. You cannot beat the Zhiyun for the price, it depends what you need.
I bet the ISO was in 200 all the time. (liked and subscribed)

Bonjour Antoine, sur la photo en question l'iPhone X est fixé sur une Gimbal de marque Zhiyun (lien : amzn.to/2zDGIKr ) à l'aide d'une plaque Really Right Stuff. En mode "grue" le Zhiyun Smooth-Q est plus pratique que l'Osmo de DJI car nous pouvons le fixer par le dessous et maintenir ainsi un ensemble équilibré, dans le même axe. Hi! Did you use some additional lenses?
We only use one macro lens by Schneider Optics (link in the video description) for the macro shots. Everything else was shot with both iPhone X lenses.

As an Apple hater and Cinematography enthousiast I can tell you:
Great stuff. I am trying to find bad points and I found a few. But those do not make the greatness any less great. I read somewhere you did not even use color grading. Very impressive.

How is this an ultra wide image?
did you record the sound with the iphone x too ?
The sound was recorded with an external recorder (Zoom H4N). Check the video description for more infos.

Dude, I've made longer videos in hours and never EVER had lipsynch problems. You must REALLY pay attention to details. Excuses won't fix your work. Or use some really professional gear, if there is an option.

Could have been better if the interview wasn't out of sync and the music followed some semblance of beats instead of being wallpapered over the entire piece. Good looking product shots though.

Macro at 1:08 impossible to shoot in iPhone without expensive lens kits. And many other scenes too. Which brings the iPhone itself to something absolutely insignificant and I don't see why need emphasize it so much. Would be much more correct to say "entire movie was shot on Sony Exmor sensor" ;)
Being impressed doesn't mean everything was expensive... When you are a creative team, sometimes little things could bring great results. e.g. macro shots were done with a lens from Schneider Optics costing around $40, yeah we know that's a steal when you see the results... Impossible as you say is not a word in AmnesiArt's vocabulary.
The editing software result is pretty average. Not impressive, flickering and compressed blurred frames sometimes. The original footage must be surely better. What was used as editing software and settings?
Don't forget TH-cam compress the film a lot... We used Adobe Premiere CC to edit it.
